My favourite episode so far! Really love John's vocals and lyrics. His lyrics give a really vivid imagery but they're also open enough for you to make up your own mind about what they mean and represent to you. His vocals, I feel, really translate pain, heartache, hopelessness and, sometimes, joy and triumph (Shock Me). It's really beautiful and they capture a lot of emotion. Funny how a band which, in it's beginning stages, was not really about the vocals and now it's one of their strengths. Gina's harmonies are great too, they really add to the vocal lines. Also, your daughters vocals add a beautiful "frailty". Cold-Blooded Angels is my favourite song on the record, I think. Something special about it like Eula, Chlorine and Wine and If I Have to Wake Up (The best song ever written) :)

If I Have To Wake Up vs I'd Do Anything... they almost feel like iterations of a similar articulation, equally beautiful and cold.

Once this series is done, I'd love to have all of the Final Thoughts together to watch as a track by track commentary thing.
The vocal for Cold Blooded Angels was always super interesting to me how that came about because the rhythm in the verses has that, "Where's 1?" feel to it. I can't imagine what it was like trying to find a melody and lyric for that.

It's pretty astonishing to learn that the lyrics & vocals on this album so often came last, given how astonishing the lyrics & vocals are. I would have guessed that a lot of the songs were built around vocal melodies.

These two definitely got something really special going with how well they harmonize and compliment each other. Seems like these 4 have found their groove. Can't wait to see the next chapter of Baroness!

The vocals are really haunting. John has always been a brave vocalist, but there is something different here... and it not just Gina 😁

Who the hell decided to just play the final produced mix over the studio clips? I was really looking forward to hearing some studio vocals. Seems pointless to me.

Cold-Blooded Angels is a masterpiece. If you haven't heard the Revolver "No Distortion" version, check it out and you won't be disappointed.

Yeah at first i had more people with me in this project .Then it just ended up being myself. And man talk about being overwhelmed and learning drum placement but i play guitar and bass i know drums but still. It so helps having more minds than just your own so you can break away and write lyrics.all i talk to is the guy who is helping myself place everything and mastering it.

Agreed. And I know there isn't much chance of this happening, but god I'd love for Pete to come back and have them be this 3 guitar, triple harmonizing vocal monster

I have so many different ways of putting vocals to my idea.but in my mind i am my biggest critic.which one goes best with what i have.and so now i deliberate is it singing or screaming or both?

Are you guys gonna do a Making Of episode of this series that shows how fucking awful and incompetent Fridmann's mixing and mastering process was?
