Я делаю так не промывая , в картофеле свой крахмал, зачем добавлять кукурузный, получается, так же вкусно, и без лишней возни, а Вам спасибо.
К тому же крахмал автор ролика забыла дописать крахмал в рецепт...Но по крайней мере не прийдётся тереть картошку на тёрку как в драниках...

Good advice there sure is plenty of starch in potatoes my mum used to rub a raw potato on my dads shirt collars to stiffen them it really worked too! That was just after the war when there was still a lot of shortages.

Я извиняюсь, а зачем промывать картофельный крахмал, чтобы потом добавлять кукурузный?
А у меня и кукурузного нет... А если муки добавить??
Potato starch and corn starch are two different things.
Картофельный крахмал темнеет. Мы лраники делали сначала не промывали картофель, а потом пару раз помыли. Состав получается светлее, но мне кажется вкус меняется. Попробуйте так и так. Муку тоже можно.
Кстати - чтобы не темнел картофельный крахмал - достаточно добавить лук репку. Либо его сок.

А зачем сначала промывать картофель от крахмала, а затем его же посыпать крахмалом?
Тоже подумала, зачем
БлагоДарю за прекрасный рецепт! Если не промывать картофель, то он пустит сок и будет мокрый. А если промыть, смешать его с крахмалом и залить яйцами, то он будет жариться в виде пирога. Всем приятного аппетита!
Potato starch is sticky but corn starch is different stickiness.
Неувязка. Смыть один крахмал, посыпать другой.

My Working class Australian family have been making these for generations - we call the patties 'mock fish'. I presume these were seen as a substitute for fish that they could not afford to buy back in the 19th century. But Jewish cuisine has these egg and potatoes patties too - they call them 'latkes'. We ate them with tomato sauce back in my childhood but now I often accompany them with ratatouille. Sometimes I add a little onion, other times a little grated carrot. I loved them as a child and I still do.
