A beautiful rendition of a song which many hold in high regards. Ne Yo takes the charismatic presents of Genie and puts a modern jazz style to it. It still has that fun energy but isn't just copying Robin Williams. Wonderfully fun version

They probably would of already planned on making Aladdin a live action movie anyway they seem to be making all animated movies from the past into live action movies:Mulan,Sleeping beauty,beauty and the beast,Pinocchio,Cinderella...etc... Aladdin would of eventually ended up On the list of live action movies at some point. The only movies that would be hard to do as live action would be the ones with talking animals like the lion king.

Don't get me wrong; Robin Williams was a sterling voice-actor for his role and sang the song superbly for an unspecialized singer, but would you be singing the same tune (no pun intended) if Neo originally sang the song? How Neo would have performed in the voice-acting role is anyone's guess; but as a putatively top-end singer in his genre, it's hard to disabuse to me that we wouldn't have found this song even more memorable if he was the voice-actor behind this song.
