Giant waves are predictable (except on a dark stormy night), just aim for the crest and hope you don’t fall sideways on the way up. A kraken is unpredictable, can come from anywhere, and could do anything with its combination of tentacles. You can’t work against that.

You could put your boat 300m underwater as long as everything is closed itll float back up. Maybe “not stormworks 2” will feature water pressure that will break welds / crush and such at certain depths if you arent using the right materials.
