'Top Speed Germany' is a German RUclips channel for people who love cars.
My Name is Max and I film while driving cars. No matter if they are old, fast, loud or electric. They need to be special! With several onboard cams, I record everything important to show you High-Speed-Runs, Acceleration tests ( 0-100 kph / 0-200 kph / 100-200 kph / 200-300 kph ) and test drives on German Autobahn or Road. Please note, Germany is the country of "no speed limit" highways. So in some places, it's allowed to drive very fast. But please don't try this if you are not an experienced driver !! If you enjoy give a like and subscribe for more videos ;-) .
You should add a dB meter to check the noise level at those speeds. No one does that and you would be the first!

Cruising it is almost not audible, accelerating and stationairy it is a nasty box of rattling nails. A car like this just screams for a smooth V6.
Seems very quet car. Impressive
it's a great idea, however the problem is that tires and tarmac can make a difference of +/- 3dB easily. at least this should be measured on the same road.
I own an 05 XC70 with 240k miles and while I was driving today, I was talking to my mother on the phone in the car at 95 mph and she thought I was in the house. Scandinavians were making quiet cabins way back when it wasn't a thing to review.
So silent and calm... Lovely drive train.

At nearly 240km/h it has to be the most quiet way to travel, given it takes a whole minute to reach 200km/h for a Diesel wagon - still impressive, it just keeps accelerating !!!
You might be right but I haven't watched many Diesels going at high speeds like this.
My car screams and roars at such speed unless in 6th Overdrive so I'm not used to such a quiet cabin :)
Yep, a neighbor has a XC90 but the gasoline T5 version, most times I can't even hear this vehicle start up, seems very quiet and comfortable and all I see are the bright LED headlights as he's driving out.
I will watch the 550d as well...
While I can only say my perspective with a V60 T6 ist Pretty loud to a Renault laguna 3

The real speed is on the GPS smartphone to the left but my phone screen is not big enough to see, need a 4k display! :)
The most recent D5 have a Powerpulse system, it Blows pressured air at the Exhaust side of the Turbo making it Spool faster.
Most times the rubber tube from the air container under the right headlight for the Powerpulse just rips or blows apart, if any of you have a Volvo with a D5 VEA (Volvo Engine Architecture) engine, look right over the Gearbox between the Airfilter and you'll see a tube. Mostly it blows or rips right on the Gearbox and in some cases directly under the cooling fans in the front at the metal connection.
I like how you approach your vehicles, usually parked in a parkplatz, so we get a look at the vehicle too. Love your vids.

My wife has v90CC D4, with 190hp, and I must say It pulls strong up to 200km/h Im impressed, Im thinking it must be the gearbox and its gearing.
Would be nice to see some coupe decibel measurement during those high speeds, and perhaps to see how well adaptive cruise control and pilot assist works during those speeds.

I drive this car now. 39 mpg combined. On my v6 Audi A7 50TDI I do 45mpg. Why!!!

My family switched from an XC70 which is quite heavy and robust to an V90cc a few months ago and the feeling when i first sat down and took a ride in the V90 i thought excatly that, it's a fucking tank. Big, heavy, stable and robust. Might not be the most fun car to drive around but it stays slick to the ground and is very comfortable.
With AWD the accaleration in high speed is nearly equal to the 190 HP D4. Volvo is for cruising not for speed.
There polestar and r versions are fast tho

I think D5 is the best engine for volvo v90, v60, xc60 etc. I have V60 D4 now, but the next one, will be of course D5

@@Jen0os för det första jag satt väldigt bekväm, som att man ska flyga ett flyg mkt med utrymme och sen känslan på ratten är mjuk och enkel och lätt hanterbar. Mäktigt och stor bil och jag kände mig samma som bilen. Nästan som att bilen själv kör mig jag är bara där och njuter. Kommer aldrig glömma det asså.

I love Volvo with all my heart, I have V60 d4 181LE. I wrote this because some of you would say after my comment: "u dont have Volvo, dont say that". But max speed is not nice to be checked downhill. This V90 is beautiful, i hope in the future i can buy one of them, but its max speed is about 220km/h.

I did with my 2014 model Honda Civic sedan 1.8 l 145 hp gasoline engine exactly 222 km/h. It was the quietest car that I have ever driven.

I sat in the passenger seat in a V90 CC AWD (I think it was a D5 also) in 260 km/h in Sweden, and had more to give...
(Police car though, with Volvo's S mode geartronic which is only used in police cars)

@@TheDeepShadow I live in Finland and there are many dealers who sell US made full size pickups and SUV's here. You can register an US made vehicle without any changes (about 10years ago you had to change the lights and blinkers).

Why? Aisin is slower but not that much And for Volvo it really doesnt matter. In comfort they are equal.

On Saturday 5th of March when our town Makarov, where our house is became an epicentre of the war, we packed our belongings and 2 cats into our Volvo XC90 car ready to flee to save our lives. We started driving and approached probably one of the most dangerous places in Ukraine today - Zhytomyr highwayю
While driving, the battery indicator started blinking notifying that the battery is empty. A few moments later the service indicator started blinking asking to stop immediately. Right after this, the car has just stopped in the middle of the road. We tried to start it, but nothing worked.
We were in the middle of the war with a non-functioning car and all our belongings in that car. We were in the end picked up by another vehicle but unfortunately had to leave almost everything in our Volvo.
My brand new car is still standing on the highway to this day. Before we drove off it was parked in a garage and was not used for several days. The last time it was fully functioning we drove to the supermarket with it and everything was fine. This is just not possible that a car with a mileage of 9627 km.
I just hope the engine was fully warmed up.

That V90 looks so good and is an awesome car. But I have driven a 530d and that seems so much more faster considering the additional 30hp and 2 more cylinders. It also goes 260km/h on the gauge, so in reality 250
