    You put a lot of effort into your videos: How to buy, how to eat, food review, and botanical origin. And then the humor layer to boot. Hard to beat!

    I like to watch these in the morning before getting out of bed. Then when Sara comes on my wife wakes up and starts watching too.
    We loved all the fruit juices with breakfast in the mornings.
    Thanks for the great videos!!!

      Sara's pretty good at waking me up in the morning too. Her clomping is my alarm clock.

    Great video. Would love a second fruit video - this time guanabana (soursop), cherimoya, naranjilla, uvillas, granadilla (passion fruit) and babaco. A fresh ripe cherimoya is just about the best thing on earth.

      Great recommendations. The cherimoya is like a custard apple?

    • @johnbrasher1495

      @@itchyfeetonthecheap The cherimoya is sometimes called a custard apple (as are other members of the Annona family, like the guanabana). About the size of an American baseball. The flesh is white and soft, with large, hard black seeds. Easiest to eat with a spoon, discarding the seeds. Not as easy to find in many mercados or tiendas. We normally found them in the large roadside stands, where they likely have just recently been picked from the tree..

    Thanks for the video ! Informative and hilarious 😂 FYI people eat guava without worrying about the seeds. It helps with figuring out if you have tooth decay. Quite handy.

      I think I had a guava seed hiding in my teeth for 3 days after eating it.

    You should try mangos de "chupar", the yellow and smaller ones that are much sweeter than other mangos. And talking about seasonal fruits / food, you didn't feature fanesca, that was disappointing.... Great content overall

      @itchyfeetonthecheap  3 года назад +1

      I'll try those mangos next time. As for the fanesca, we were in the middle of the pandemic stuck in the house at that time. Next Easter I'll make a video about it.

    Yay fun fruit! LOL JUICING....yes, where's the diarrhea video? Still coming out? How much dragon fruit juice does it take for a proper colon explosion? Guava and banana passionfruit looks wild! Pepino dulce sounds like it'd make a great drink too!

      This is essentially what the diarrhea video would have been.

      We were in Misahuallí a few weeks ago. They had all kind of cool stuff. I was going to shoot a video but I got lazy.

    You make me laugh! The dragon fruit I call Hand grenades! You find out the next day why, if you eat a WHOLE one!

      It's been about 5 days since I bought all this fruit and it's almost all gone. Stomach started to turn on my last night. No more fruit for a while.

    Looks like the goiabas we have in Brazil are slightly bigger and sweeter.

    • @itchyfeetonthecheap
      @itchyfeetonthecheap  3 года назад

      Yeah, the guavas here are pretty small, so I didn't realize it was a guava when I bought it. And the ones I had in Asia were definitely sweeter.

    4:34 Honestly I feel like you were ripped off. In a country like Ecuador, all that stuff should normally be a lot cheaper (I assume).

      most of those fruits are most likely home grown and they are good fruit not like squished or anything. I’m from Ecuador and that is a reasonable price. It also depends on where you buy from since it might cost more somewhere else.
