    Balancing Process:
Step 1: Balance the tilt axis first. Adjust front to back position of the camera as well as the vertical position until the camera is balanced on the axis and holds a static position in any direction.
Step 2: Balance the Roll axis. From the top of the roll motor loosen the set screw and adjust balance left and right until the camera is balanced and holds static position in any roll axis direction.
Step 3: Balance the Pan axis by holding the handle horizontal to the horizon. Loosen the set screw and adjust back and forth until the camera is balanced and holds a static position.
You can now power on your motors.

*QUESTION" Do all rotational axes have slip rings so that no wire connections get twisted up during use? The picture on your web site shows the CCI cable plugging into the tilt joint. (These connections would have to pass through all three rotational axes. In the same photo it appears that the CCI cable appears that could interfere with the tilt rotation axis because the cable would hit the tilt motor housing. Perhaps it could be bent more toward the camera somehow.)
*EDIT:* I see now that this roll axis interference may not happen depending on how far to the right you have to slide the roll balance adjustment. Also, it's not very likely that you would want to roll your camera 360 degrees. That would be a very serious "Dutch Angle". Perhaps for some kind of VFX shot.
I was surprised to see that the roll axis can not turn 360 degrees because the tilt motor support does not clear the pan joint. It seems like the arm that connects the pan joint to the roll motor support could have been lengthen a half inch or so that it would have corrected this. Is this because the roll axis does not have slip rings?
Thanks for the demo videos. I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy a Rage v2 very soon. Just want to get all my questions answered before I push that button.

      Hi Robert,
Yes, the RAGE does have slip rings in all three motors. The CCI cable does not interfere with this. We hope that clears things up a bit. Any other questions, please let us know.

Gaaaa, yes I think 99,9% of all photographers know and understand that you need to slide the seat to counterbalance and that you need to open the screw to do that. Why do Americans always take the looooongest time explaining shit that don't need to be explained?
