Sanity was good for an NXT act and could've worked somewhere like Impact. But seeing him job that bad on the main roster unfortunately made sense in Vince's wwe. Without having a coaching position or something backstage he's better off in TNA. Someone I watched since like 2007 but didn't appreciate until 2015

But then he returned to TNA/Impact in 2019 & he completely sold me with that new “world class maniac” gimmick & his entrance music & the mask or helmet or whatever he was wearing during his entrance. Not to mention what he’d later do with Violent By Design which would become some of the most entertaining tna stuff in recent years. That’s when I knew that wwe made a mistake & that he is meant to be a huge star. I truly believe that he has one of the best promos in the business, he hasn’t been doing many promos since violent by design broke up but when he was doing them while part of that group I had chills & couldn’t believe that he was that damn good & intimidating too. Him, Bray & Malakai Black were the best promos of that year
Eric young is actually the main reason my 10 year old brain watched impact/tna, but I still find some of his matches very entertaining today so maybe I never changed lol
I'll never forget how he spoke his mind about his booking to Chris Van Vliet. All this man wanted to do was wrestle and he spent most of his time there sitting on his hands. I respect that in a wrestler when they care more about their job over a paycheck. And the fact that he quickly left WWE on his return once he heard Vince was back was a telling story on how much he disliked that man and wanted nothing to do with him. He killed it as the leader of Violent By Design and it shows how good he can play a heel leader if given a chance in WWE.

Beyond criminal. Sanity was a shell of it's former self and never had a chance before the old man killed the momentum or what was left. Glad EY is gone but i did enjoy playing as him and the rest in the games

Mike Bennett's time in WWE was the # 1 most brutal burial of a wrestler I have ever seen in my 30 + years of watching wrestling. They didn't just job him out, they HUMILIATED him in the worse ways possible (having his wife, Maria, bury the living crap out of him on the mic. And he never had much of a comeback, they pretty much just kept jobbing him while humiliating him). Huge difference between that and his TNA run (he was known as "The Miracle" Mike Bennett in TNA, had a run with the X-Division title and was used very well, even competing for the TNA world title, while his wife honored him by calling him the miracle. Complete opposite of his brutal and humiliating WWE run). Anyway, I would love a Ring of the Hawk episode on Mike Bennett.

E.Y. was one of the reasons I was watching TNA there for a while. I actually miss seeing him come out in that Turkey suit every thanksgiving...I used to look forward to that. E.Y. and O.D.B. were great together. I had completely forgot E.Y. had even went to WWE. ...Ive never heard any of the older big name legends that came thru TNA ever say anything bad about E.Y. and his work, actually quite the opposite. At one time Nash was constantly singing praise over him....but on the same hand....it's not like WWE has never had extremely capable talent that they completely dropped the ball and continued to fumble until it killed any and all interest in them.

It should've been booked to where Sanity flat out destroyed the Miz, and that outcome would've helped everyone involved: established Sanity as a legit threat, build the Miz as an underdog face, and Shane McMahon as a sadistic heel.
You can do Maxine's (the original one not Maxxine Duppri) in NXT she had around 23 matches there after NXT stopped being a game show and turned into a C show for wrestling.

I suspect Eric changed his mind about signing with WWE a second time because of miscommunication. He thought they wanted him to wrestle when they wanted him to be a producer. With all of the former TNA talent working the role already. Bobby Roode is even working with Hayes.
Eric young as an underdog & comedy babyface was the best version. He didn't realize he can't be a heel. That is why no one like him as a heel. He can't sell a ticket.
I remember this being such a frustrating time as an EY fan who really wanted him to do well in the "big leagues". His time with Sanity which included Nikki Cross in NXT was so much better...or perhaps I am remembering it with rose tinted glasses. Needless to say when they first debuted in NXT(a show I watched religiously back then), there was a serious buzz about them, their entrance was unique and different although truth be told a lot of time they were on the losing end of things. Still NXT Sanity was so much better than SmackDown Sanity as can be seen above. Do NXT EY if possible and the compare the two?
Eric Young was wasted in wwe. Yes, he had a decent run in nxt, but as soon as he got to raw he was treated like a bloody jobber. Just like most nxt wrestlers who get call up to the main roster

His time with Sanity which included Nikki Cross in NXT was so much better...or perhaps I am remembering it with rose tinted glasses. Needless to say when they first debuted in NXT(a show I watched religiously back then), there was a serious buzz about them, their entrance was unique and different although truth be told a lot of time they were on the losing end of things. Still NXT Sanity was so much better than SmackDown Sanity as can be seen above. Do NXT EY if possible and the compare the two?
Eric Young was wasted in wwe. Yes, he had a decent run in nxt, but as soon as he got to raw he was treated like a bloody jobber. Just like most nxt wrestlers who get call up to the main roster

I remembered that EY went to WWE, but I never saw how it went. Turns out it went pretty much exactly how you'd guess it would. Young was never the kind of guy WWE was ever going to do anything good with.
