I hope you enjoy your June TBR - it’s such a mixed selection. I enjoyed Book Lovers for what it was, I often don’t rate romance novels as critically as other novels because I purely read them to switch of and have a good time. Hopefully it will help you calm your mind a bit as well 😊
Yes! Definitely normalize having a life other than reading. I’m a little tired of seeing the same books being featured again and again by book tubers on all social media channels but I’m extremely frustrated by the fact that they’re all YA or romance! This pressure of reading 20+ books a month is not okay. Especially because these romance or YA books are not literature or educational or non-fiction, and quite honestly almost as useless as watching Netflix but there’s a toxic idea of “reading more” means you’re better! It turns competitive… It’s not about the quantity but the quality
