After the massive NEET scam row, questions have now arisen over UPSC exams, which select India's future bureaucrats, diplomats, and police officers. Dr. Puja Khedkar, an IAS probationer posted in Pune, has been transferred to Washim for alleged misuse of power. The transfer follows news that Khedkar sought unauthorized privileges, including using a private Audi car equipped with a red-blue beacon and VIP number plate, and displaying a 'Maharashtra government' board on her personal vehicle. She allegedly demanded an official car with a VIP number plate, accommodation, and an official chamber, all against protocol for probation officers. Further controversy emerged when RTI activist Vijay Kumbhar claimed irregularities in her UPSC selection, alleging that Khedkar submitted fake disability and non-creamy layer OBC certificates to clear the civil services exam. Despite claiming non-creamy layer status, her father, Dilip Khedkar, listed assets valued at 40 crore rupees in his 2024 Lok Sabha election affidavit. Puja Khedkar has declined to comment on the charges. Allegations of such irregularities could severely impact the credibility of the civil services exams if these loopholes are not addressed promptly.

UPSC is not free from corrupt practices .One can become an IAS officer without going through any qualifying exam if you have lot of money and good cotacts through Direct Lateral Entry you can become an IAS officer without going through any exam

Giving you some information that can make this story big. Remember Devyani Khobragde who is an also a daughter of a retired senior bureaucrat and was arrested by US government for Visa fraud. She used similar tactics to pass UPSC.
She has managed to become Indian ambassador to Cambodia. Her family is very closely connected to the present case you are discussing…..!
OBC non-creamy layer candidate, the applicant's parents' annual income should be less than Rs. 8 lakhs.

Trainee probationer can be terminated before completion of her probation. It's not difficult unlike permanent employees.
That's why the investigation is sped up so that it can be done during her probation. Had she been confirmed then it would be extremely difficult to sack her😂
