    Effort doesn't guarantee success, but lack of effort 100% guarantees failure.

    Definitely took some time for me to let go of expectations and not fret about the outcome on things. Good reminder.

    So stressing when you think you've put so much effort but not improving over the years and you found out that the problem is the way your 'brain' works toward Art is not the same anymore with the first time you got excited with Art. Like Art is then becoming a pressure than healing..

    I have difficulties with giving effort because I hate feeling like an idiot if I’ve given 100% input and don’t achieve the results I think I deserve. I‘m too afraid of disappointment😢

      Totally understandable! Many people feel this way. But, as they say, it's better to have tried and failed than to have never tried at all! You will never know your true potential unless you give it a fair shot😊 Good luck to you!

    Hm.. I suspect people often use this philosophy as an excuse. For example, "I don't make that decision or nobody ever listens to me." It's amazing how much a well-spoken, kind person influences others.

    Thanks for keeping the inspiration train going for over a decade Bobby. Without your chiustreams I wouldn’t have landed the job of my dreams. ❤ And it’s true - every time I chose to give 100% effort, great things happened.

    Just a friendly reminder to ya all that 100% doesn't mean 12 hours per day 7 days a week!
    Take breaks, rest, experience life and don't beat yourself up when you're feeling bad and can do only 70% for a day :)

    • @BobbyChiu
      @BobbyChiu  Год назад +1

      Yes! Taking breaks is so important to prevent burnout and stay motivated/inspired!!😊

    Do you know the storyboard artists of Spider-Verse? I’m trying to find the ones who drew the animatics for Peter B.’s backstory and the Alchemax break-in.

    Yeah totally, actually i believe that together with the effort, you have to enjoy what you do, recruiters etc really have to feel those enjoyment vibes when they review your work, you have to be really into it, of course in the end its just design, but you have to have that passion also

    Great video Bobby! Even not just effort with fundamentals, but with health too. I use to practice teh fundamentals so much to teh point i wasent enjoying art anymore, but jsut doing what i love and seing where that takes me helps.

    Hi Bobby, thank you for sharing this inspirational video. I for one am also curious about your opinion & stance regarding the latest Proko podcast interview with Karla Ortiz and Steven Zapata (please do see it if you are able) and what advice can you give for upcoming artists trying to pursue a living on this artistic route with the way things are progressing.

    Sometimes is difficult to gauge 100% in my head. Am I doing a 100%? Like what does that constitute. I don't know, I'm kinda slow :D

    The hardest part for me is putting in the effort every day. I can do about 4 hours a day consistently. How do you increase your art stamina?

    • @merlelavie
      @merlelavie Год назад +1

      hey same for me and I stopped worrying about it. If you mean art stamina as in "literally drawing/painting/making art" then I would just use the rest of the day for organization, exercise, planning...
      And or try having just one push day were u set a timer to maybe 9h and u just have to create for that time. I got a bit more stamina after doing the 24h comic day. It was exhausting but it pushed my limits.
      xo
