Hey Enrique its Howie D your Uber driver that gave you a ride to the Tampa airport the other morning! It was great to meet you in person and I certainly enjoyed our conversation!! Wishing you and yours all the best for the Holidays and the New Year!!!
There are a ton of nice used fake trees at the thrift shop. I had a very expensive tree for a cathedral ceiling. When I moved it did not fit in my living room. I gave it to my friends children. They still use it to this day.😊
Yep, was given a fake tree last to use this year. Love it. Doesn’t shed. Pre lit. Perfect size. After buying a locally grown tree last year and paid $109 for a 6 foot tree. We just decided after last year we were done doing that. I noticed that Costco usually has trees. I think they did but, it was fast gone. I never saw the containers. I don’t think they ordered much as well. Really sad. The old traditions are disappearing 😢
As a Batchlor I have a 2 foot table top tree I've used for years. Half the lights quit working, and the cat likes to attack it. I strung it with Mardi Gras beads this year. It looks pretty good. Can't see spending money on a new one.
I bought my pink-colored artificial 4-foot tree this year. I will keep it for many years ahead. As a child I remember my parents took us to buy a real tree at a lot every year. It was fun. But after awhile , they invested in an artificlal tree . Still, I like the scent of those real trees. But now , I just make sure I have a Christmas-scented candle for the holidays .
When our children were young we bought only rooted evergreens for Christmas, then planted them on our property afterwards. Now in our old age we have a ceramic tree. Here in southeast TN I've noticed that poinsettias are not selling at all. Saw racks of dead ones in Tractor Supply, Walmart and Food Lion today marked down to $1.99. Very few homes in our area have put outside decorations up this year. I pray Christmas doesn't go the way of Thanksgiving.
I can never pay out 500$ to 1200$ for a cut tree to only throw it away as garbage after the holidays, I for many years bought living Christmas trees in pot 8' tall with the roots at Christmas tree farms generally selling for 138$ , after the holidays I plant them on my property today they stand 50' tall now some have died from gophers getting to the roots , last four years haven't been buying trees I rather spend my money on more important things in life.
In the 1960's and 1970's; my little rural town had a nearby, local "Christmas tree farm". In early fall; many local town people would go and choose their Christmas trees and tag them in early fall. We would tag them with our last name, written on a card. The trees were not cut until time to haul home. Each family had to haul their own tree home themselves, usually with a pick up truck. Back then people behaved and did not disturb other family's pre-tagged, uncut Christmas trees (in the tree farm). 60 years ago; Christmas trees were not very expensive. $500.00 for a fresh Christmas tree sounds absolutely outrageous! No way would my family or I would pay such a high price. Since the 1980's, it made more economical sense and much more convenient to simply reuse artificial Christmas trees. It is cheaper and more convenient to reuse artificial Christmas trees. In rural Missouri.🌲🌲🌲
We got a artificial tree years ago, saves time and money now. The trouble with pine trees you cant burn them in your fireplace. It's off to the dump if your County does not plan to pick them up then they want you to tie them up, or you have to cut them up and put them in your green garbage can, extra work after the Holidays. A lot of tree farms probably got feed up with California regulations and decided to sell the land and get some bucks for the land, also the next generation in the family do not want to play around with the farming lots of work for so little payback not like years ago.
Artificial since around 1996 so some 28 years. I used to live in Oregon and we would go to an area where I was able to choose and cut down my own Xmas tree.
@enriquereacts88 STILL WATCH YOU AND JEREMIA TAKE ON THOSE FANCY CHRISTMAS 🎄 TREES, THINGS IN THE UK 🇬🇧 IS EQUALLY BAD WITH DODGY WOKE LABOUR GOVERNMENT, ECONOMY IS STAGNANT, 2025 GOING TO BE VERY DIFFICULT 👀
I have been buying artificial trees since 1986.i am cheap and I don't want my house 🏡😁 to burn ❤️🔥 to the ground.pretty simple in my expert opinion!!😊
I dont do Christmas as I did as a Younger person as You see the shopping center carpark full of consumers buying products from A country I dont support and have learnt th be at home with Your Family and every one is ok is Christmas to Me.
My fake tree is easier and cheaper for me. I miss the smell of a real tree, but not the mess and cost. Maybe I can spray pine tree air freshener on my fake tree.🤣🎄
The lady at the tree lot said that people actually scrounge up real tree branches from her lot and place them around their artificial trees to give it a little bit of that real tree smell
I saw that show tonight with you and JB...You didn't ask her how sells were this season. PS Haven't had a real tree since the 80's You probably weren't born yet!

Yes Costco also has very limited inventory!
It was a family tradition for us to go out and cut down a tree for Christmas. They were precious days.
As a Batchlor I have a 2 foot table top tree I've used for years. Half the lights quit working, and the cat likes to attack it. I strung it with Mardi Gras beads this year. It looks pretty good. Can't see spending money on a new one.

Hi Enrique, I agree people haven't been spending much this Christmas. They are broke.
When our children were young we bought only rooted evergreens for Christmas, then planted them on our property afterwards. Now in our old age we have a ceramic tree. Wow that’s a good observation about Poinsettias
Great commemts. For the first time, i bought an artificial tree for $60. Prices for a nice live six footer are $159+.

Wow amazing story
When I was a kid, I would cut down a cedar for Our Family Christmas Tree "
Not many people have that luxury
Hey Enrique, my family has had a fake tree for over 10 years. Real trees were getting expensive then! Now it’s ludicrous.
It’s insane!

I can only imagine what they cost back then
Everything was way better 1990s down

I haven't had a real tree for years.
This year I didn't see any for sale in the usual places.
I enjoy your videos.
JB & Enrique have the best Fieldtrips
My kids grew up and moved out, this was the exact moment my wife and I bought a fake tree.

At least were saving the environment.
The last real Christmas tree my family had was in 1995 than in 1997 went to artificial. After 1997. we stopped honoring this practice altogether,

The prices 250 for a 10 ft tree is nuts
They have Hallmark price tags!
98% of the X-mas trees grown in Quebec are exported to the U.S. 🎄

Interesting and you live near tree capital of america
@enriquereacts88 yes Enrique you can get tax credits on your land for growing so many acres of Christmas trees 🎄😀
@ nice!
Well, I prefer to give a woman Live growing flowers, rather than dead cut flowers "

Great Channel!
Thanks!
Real Christmas trees are very expensive, and when they dry out, are a fire hazard.
Yes exactly!
We don't celebrate Xmas or anything..,...............from the Ozarks drinking fresh spring water 💦 since 1991
Greed, why would anyone pay that much money for a cut tree that you throw out?! Artificial tree last for years and not as messy.
I agree it’s a lot to swallow for a real tree
If no Christmas trees are being sold that means the economy has collapsed and the WW3 is about the start
I saw that show tonight with you and JB...You didn't ask her how sells were this season. PS Haven't had a real tree since the 80's You probably weren't born yet!
JB actually did ask her that question but she didn’t really give a clear answer
