I saw a Sterling when I was 21 and thought it was so cool. I'm 43 now and I just bought one 2 months ago. I couldn't be happier with it. There's nothing cooler than driving something so unique 👍
I sold my 1978 Sterling ( which I built that year) in 1992 and the young man who bought it was so anxious to buy it, so no body else would, he gave me the cash, I signed the title over to him and he hadn't even taken it for a test drive... till he was ready to drive it away. No doubt that car was a real eye catcher. People would drive me nuts with the constant questions, always the same one...wow, what kind of car is that? If I was in a store parking lot....forget it, I had to look for an opening and drive away quickly. It was a fun project and what learned from that inspired me to go on a convert a 40 foot charter bus to a motor home. NOW THAT was a lot of work, a lot more than a Sterling.
