It’s a powerful reminder that retirement isn’t only about money, it’s about finding purpose, staying healthy, and maintaining connections with loved ones. Thank you, Mark and Jody, for showing us that retirement can be a joyful and fulfilling stage of life. I'll definitely be sharing this video!
My parents are approaching retirement, and I want them to watch this. They deserve to enjoy it the same way you do. I admire how you guys would plan meet up with kids despite them living on different locations. That is the kind of set up I want in the future. Also, love the apologies when Jody interrupted Mark, and how Mark responded to it. What a lovely couple. A proof that retirement can be fun and fulfilling if you plan it ahead and take life as is. More powers Mark and Jody!
Great video! I really appreciated the emphasis on planning beyond just finances, especially the focus on setting goals and staying flexible. Reflecting on past achievements and building new routines for a fulfilling retirement is such valuable advice. Thanks for the practical tips!
I am planning to retire soon. I’m 67. The question for me that I’m still grappling with is --what is retirement? I think it’s a uniquely different proposition for each person ….but of course I can’t generalize and speak for others, I can only speak for myself. So far I feel uncertain which work related changes I want to make ( I own a business) that will allow me to spend more time in the other passions I enjoy that are not work related. What’s stopping me? The major internal conflicts I am working on are ones that typically revolve around money and security ie feelings of safety / having enough / feeling purposeful / letting go of beliefs around scarcity and instead embracing a belief system that suggests abundance ….these have always been my life long challenges. my beliefs that allow me to be free of those fear based beliefs of the unknown is definitely a process.
