I've watched so many RUclips videos on Y seams. Being an intermediate sewer, I ended being lost & confused on every video. Then I found yours. Thank you for explaining it so thoroughly, while not speed talking like some auctioneer. I now understand how to sew a Y seam 😊
Absolutely one of the BEST Y seam tutorials that I have seen. Now I want to do a hexi quilt. Thank you for the crispness that you bring to the quilt world.
Excellent Video. I have been watching all of your tutorials and they are FABULOUS!!! I have learned a lot and laughed too. Thank you for being a breath of fresh air to quilting. 🙂
G'day Dale, thank you for yet another great instructional video... I'm starting to see my grandchildren aping your movements, it's so sweet. I've now got 4 mini cowboy quilters. Bless you and heart felt thank you
Thanks you showed how much better than others. I just did my first y seams and they leave much to be desired……tomorrow I will try what you explained and hope for better results
Great video, really easy to understand would never have thought to reduce the stitch length - guess that's why you're the Quilting Guru never mind the Quilting Cowboy!!! ☺
I have a question about the “burrito” ironing pad you put on top of cutting mat. Do you ever see melting or fading of lines? What’s it made of? Thanks.
Check out Gyleen Fitzgerald' technique for "Y" seams. You will never mark another quarter inch seam again. Looking forward to your fabric line. Liking what I see in your video.
HINT: Remember to relax your thread before you cut it off of the machine... your machine will be less likely to unthread because the thread won't be snapping back.
