I did this journey 27 years ago from KTM to Delhi with bus.
What a progress one can enjoy nowadays travelling this route with comfortable bus, roads and food on the way. India and Nepal now easy to reach. I am happy for both countries now.
I will do the journey now again with this good bus and good bus drivers again in 2023.

two advantages of going by volvo
1. A/C means, one is relatively free from dust and pollution from the roads and esp diesel fumes of heavy vehicles
2. Air suspension helps in avoiding most of the bumpy roads to quite an extent.

What is even more unbelievable is the fact that if you want to buy Made in India vehicles you gotta pay almost 200% tax. It's costly buying vehicles in Nepal.
Thanks for Sharing this vlog. I had travelled same route in 1987... Delhi to Kathmandu by road.. I was comparing scenario then and now... Indian roads have improved a lot... Nowadays All over India travelling on highways has become very comfortable.... Keep it up.. You are doing a gud job...

No bro these road U.P state government Road. Yamuna expressway make by mayavati, lucknow expressway by akhilesh yadav, Purvanchal expressway and Bundelkhand expressway by yogi. U.P state knows for world class expressway.

Nepal roads have always been better than bihar in all my 30 years. Not sure it has changed recently in Bihar coz I haven't been there in last 5 years.

@@amirhussain4558 Yeah, I have been there multiple times in thirty years, people bargain with vegetable sellers for Rs 2 discount. Bihar may have got better roads in recent years. Nepal always had better roads in last 30 years than Bihar. Read my first comment. Nepal had always good electricity. Most of Bihar had electric poles with no electricity. I doubt you get 24 hr electricity in Bihar. Talking about backwardness, Bihar is way more backward and poorer than Nepal. Check the world stats before blabbering here.

My biggest objection & most important with the bus, it doesn’t have any toilet .
It’s a long Route, there is no way to stop in terms of bathroom emergency esp. in Express ways and in nepal with poor road condition, and It's a long journey, we cannot miss the taste of different foods.
so it must need a toilet.
Adding little Fridge / little kitchen would be bonus.
Seats are okay , but it could be more comfortable.
It seems after this journey all passengers were quite exhausted .
if it had a toilet, i'd would definitely love to take a tour to nepal via bus.
Yes Toilet is not there. I have heard from many operators that managing a toilet is hard since passenger doesn’t use it properly. They clog it and all. Plus filling water, cleaning it and loss of 4 seats are hard for operator. But definitelya relief for lady passengers, today you can find many sleeper buses with toilet, but seater its hard to find
Whenever I have to travel overnight or a long distance by bus, I fast and avoid drinking water.

Siliguri to KTM bus. Much better road between SLG & KTM. Little over 12 hrs. Stay in Thamel. Awesome night life.
