Thanks, I paid 400€ including shipping for the lot. I don't know but by the condition I am leaning toward it being original, I may look into buying some parts to complete it. Indeed Kpemig is an idea though I find some of his party pretty expensive.
Wow! Great find! I just discovered you today and I've been watching some of your videos. I have two questions, I already have one M42 helmet that I want to restore, makred NS62 1620; do you know aproximately when was this helmet manufactured? Also, what feldgrau spray paint do you useto restore Heer helmets? Thanks for sharing and take care! Keep up such a good work!
Thank you and welcome :) If it is just marked 1620 without a D. prefix and it is side marked I would guess it is a fairly early M42, so around 1942-early 1943 production and should receive a decal. I buy my paint on militaerlacke.de as I found their paint a fair price and good quality, plus you can also have them mix up paint for you. Thanks! Luis
@@PotatoDiggerthank you very much! You were so kind! In their website there are two types of spray cans the 1K and the 2K. What are the differences? Should I buy aluminum oxide too and any other thing like a varnish or something? What products would you use to restore an early M42 helmet SD in Heer service? Thanks before hand!
@@ericbadia5 No problem! 1K is one component paint, meaning it doesn't need a separate hardener. It will be just fine for painting helmets, I use their 1K paint, too. 2K paint is more for automotive use IMO. If you playn to restore an M42, I recommend you to buy aluminium oxide, too. About 1kg of it costs about 10€, and it will last you forever pretty much. You don't need any sort of varnish if you are just going for the factory finish. The paint and oxide will suffice.
@@PotatoDigger Hello again! I promise it will be the last question here I apologise. When I click to the Feldgrau paint No.3 which is the most accurate color, there is a chart to the side that says something about numbers (up to 5, until 11, until 23 and from 24). What do these numbers make for? Thanks beforehand!

Nice find! 👍 Best regards from Norway 🇧🇻😊
Thank you, glad to see you watching my videos as well :)
I really enjoy your videos, too!
@@PotatoDigger Always 👍😊 Thank you - I really appreciate that! ❤️
Great video ! I wish that I had a box of presents like that ! Many thanks for posting.
Thank you! And yeah, it doesn't happen too often to me either :)
Great purchase. How much was that? You don't find great items like that any more. Is the SA dagger authentic? KP EMIG sometimes have spare parts

@PotatoDigger at what age did you start learning English?

the sa dagger looks like a cheap repro
Could be, I don't know much about them. I'll see what a forum says. What makes you think it's a repro?
I don’t think someone would denazify a reproduction dagger.
@@mira269 Yeah that was my thinking as well, let alone going to such lengths to remove the eagle and the little badge.
Schöner Helm!
Von ebay oder Kleinanzeigen?
Danke!
Ist von Kleinanzeigen.
