Loved the opening with the music playing and the chill vibes of San Diego. The Atlanta base needs to get better trip construction too. So I feel your pain with the long layover. I've been off for 2 weeks as well from work. I do miss it a bit, but call it my recuperation from summer flying. I like the new hair length. You look like a "super model"
yeah I’ve heard a few complaints about the atl trip construction from my friends who are based there as well! I’m definitely thinking of transferring somewhere, at least just for 3 months, to change things up. thank for for the hair compliment!! that’s so sweet 💚 and yes sometimes we really do need that goooood long break from work haha
Hi from Berlin… just obsessed with your channel, it is really unique and I love how you share your love for books/literature as well as taking us on your layovers, you really have a gift for filming in a very arty/indie way, the soundtrack everything is just on point. WOW!!! Also, that bookstore in New York was absolutely stunning and will definitely check it out next time I am in town. If you are heading back there soon I would also recommend you check McNally Jackson Books in Soho (Prince St.) they also have a branch in Brooklyn, very curated book selection which I think you would love. Safe travels! Ricardo
massive congrats!!! that’s so exciting!! & thank you for watching & commenting to let me know. that means a lot. best of luck on the rest of training! 💚 hope to see you in the skies soon!
New subbie. Flyhi greetings from ur DL SEA crew. Came across ur ch and love ur vlog. 1 of my reason I left slc -> sea. Thank you for reppin us on what we do & go thru in our DL skies!!! Fly safe fly sister ^ *
thank you!! I’m happy to have you here! yeah I’m definitely thinking about heading back to sea maybe for December? the commute wasn’t too bad for me and my aunt & uncle live there so they were happy to take me in if I needed somewhere to stay. my trips were so high time in Seattle so I ended up having more days off a month. I miss that haha
@@KendraCus Hi Kendra! That would be awesome if you came back for a little in SEA to run into you at base. I’m so happy I found ur channel and look forward to ur vlogs. Thank you for keeping it real on what we do and go through! Take care and safe flights!
I like the haircut; it suits the shape of your face. I also love NYC. Have you thought about transferring there? I did a two-day solo last year, first time as well and felt like I always belonged there. I would give my left arm to leave rural Indiana for that place.
Continuing. Am seldom to recommend a writer or book but am going too this time since you and I are southern Californians - me from Echo Park close to downtown. The writer is Joan Didion from Sacramento. 5th generation Californian. Quite famous for some of her essays. The book is from 1971 and entitled ‘Play It As It Lays’. You will pick up immediately on the So Cal/LA lifestyle. The first sentence in the novel truly grabs me - ‘What makes Iago evil?’ Another one of her greats is ‘Slouching Toward Bethlehem’. She has such insight. In 1980 we were going into a bookstore in Solvang as she was coming out, and I did not say anything to her, but I wanted to. Re the drop of the 2 day JFK trip- maybe it was reassigned to the NY base. By the way, is SLC considered a senior base? It came to the company from the merger with Western. Take care. Your friend Herman
yea I’ve heard of Joan didion!! i actually just acquired a used copy of slouching towards Bethlehem and I’d love to read it before the end of the year. that’s so cool that you saw her in person!
Her sentences are short and terse. Play It as It Lays was made into a film in 1972 with Tuesday Weld and Anthony Perkins. Didion and husband John Gregory Dunne wrote the screenplay. It is a tense and bitter look at a woman trying her best to hold on. You and S, M, and N take care of each other. BTW, I got a CJO on Thursday. An almost 82 year old guy hit a CJO. Perhaps Guinness record book can record me as world’s OLDEST FA with LOWEST seniority. Your friend Herman
Why am I continuing my prospective FA saga? Today I emailed Frontier declined their invitation to flight training. And that is because I would So so so much prefer to be hired by Delta. Always my favorite since first flying experience in 1964. And the day before the CJO interview Delta sent me a message that hiring was beginning again. So I applied and am under consideration. For my interview with F9, I did not pay any attention to all these vlogs about what answers to have for 😮recruiters. Figured all airlines know about those vlogs and just brush aside those people parroting that stuff. Decided to just be myself
I would like to know first year pay. Can you make a living? Can you work as much as you want- meaning picking up lots of hours compared to what they require as a first year. Details please on expectations
I’ve gotten that just a few times but it’s been more recently! I can kind of see it but I also don’t know which of my features makes me resemble her haha but I think she’s gorgeous so definitely a compliment haha
I love the new cut!!
Great job.. Kendra.. The quality of your videos are chef 😘 kiss!! The best!!
