Too Good a rendition Rohit Ji. We have been hearing these songs from our childhood days, but every time we hear them on radio or from an expert like you, it's a new and refreshing experience. I happen to hear Naushad ji's comments on the raag-based songs and I quote." It's not the songs but the raag by themselves are so sweet that the sweetness of the songs , based on the raagas can never fade". How very true you have proved him. Maestro ILAYARAJA alone has composed over 100 HIT EVERGREEN SONGS with intricate orchestration (and Background Scores) in Yaman! Applies to other raagas as well. Just for the sake of information.
Most of his compositions are in yaman Kalyan and Mohanam

Just one correction, if you don't mind. The sa re G turns into J when long becomes longevity. It's pronounced as "lonJevity". (NO problem bhai, you are obviously a master in Hindi & music and are incredibly talented) I LOVED THE END PART WHERE YOU SANG ALLLL THE SONGS, BACK TO BACK IN THE SAME RAAG - WOW!! At the end of your video I wanted to sing "Abhi naa jao chod kar..... Ye dhil abhi bharaa nahee"!? Namaste from USA - Jai Hind!!

However, I think that you shd have included more than 10 songs to give justice to other top music directors like Naushad Ali ( Dil e betab ko from Palki Dilruba Maine tere film Dil Diya dard liya ), Nayyar Saab(phir miloge kabhi is baat ka vaada karlo film Yeh raat phir na aayegi, ...Aapke hasin Rukh pe aaj Naya Noor hai film Baharen phir bhi ayangi) .

You have explained very well each song. Nice songs are made on this raag. No example from Naushad Sahab, s song. Ehsaan tera... by Rafi and Kabhi kabhi.. by Mukesh are my favourite.
