Another comment request in my last video was to do Shinzou wo Sasageyo, so I had a go at it. This time, I did a bit of experimenting by adding soft backing choir vocals as the harmony and melodic support, especially towards the end, similar to the original opening. I also had an idea to start the initial melody on a lower register on the lute, then have it passed along numerous instruments on higher registers. While I think this made the beginning melodies a bit murky and repetitive, the buildup towards the end was way more satisfying.

I agree. A little more work and it'd be perfect. The one thing I don't think translated quite as well was the transition into the chorus. It felt a bit more sudden and jarring than in the original.
