@@whatsdavedone104 thank you, i have a-sure unit cant get to activate the front camera theres a cvds cable on a back any idea pls saves me time and money to buy another one ? or some sort of module i can get
@ALKUKES I have had A-sure units in the past that advertised 'F-cam' but it didn't work. If it has 'f-cam' it will need activated in the factory settings. Not sur where in the setting as these units all have different settings layouts, probably under canbus settings.
Hi Dave, thanks for another excellent video. I have just installed a reversing and forward camera. For the forward camera I used the reversing camera off my old Passat which the previous owner had installed. It all looks great and works in the same way as yours (front camera comes on for ten seconds after coming out of reverse). I have an Eonon Q35 Pro unit. The only thing I can't figure out is how to turn of the trajectory lines on the forward camera. Not sure if I left an extra wire connected to power the lines? Any ideas please?
Unfortunately reverse cameras have the lines built in to the camera, no way to turn them off. On some cheap reverse cameras they have a wire loop that can be cut to disable the lines.
That's what I thought. Thanks for replying. Now the wiring is in place I may replace the camera at some point. Thank you for all your help and thanks for all the excellent videos!@@whatsdavedone104

Hi Dave Appreciate your videos, followed your installation guide and my reverse camera works perfect with my eonon q53pro headunit. Now with the front camera installation ; kindly let me me know where to connect the red pigtail wire [power ] . thus behind the head unit.
I have no pigtail connected to back of headunit....only connects are black to ground, red 12v to fuse 4 in cabin fuse box and yellow rca to back of unit....have you activated front camera? Think I have it in 1 of my other videos
Hey there, i ordered vwa12s-6g after watching your videos which comes with a rear camera as a gift for black Friday. I am going to install it around christmas. Since i already ordered the rear emblem camera i was thinking about installing the eonon camera as a front camera attached to the front grill of my eos (although i am really thinking of buying the same camera you have here). Now about the wiring, do you connect the reverse signal cable of the front camera to the back of the head unit along with the reversing camera?
Hi i have same headunit and installed front and back camera . Reverse works fine in camera in and even front camera aswell. But nothing will work in dvr video in no signal at all whats so ever rear or front camera. Any suggestion please basically i need another av in cable i got 10 pin of ebay but the still no help thanks
Dvr video tile is for an aftermarket usb dash cam, I have never found a dash cam that works the the dvr app as all usb dash cams come with their own apps
!I installed a front camera in the emblem on a passat and when I open the fcam application it shows me no signal, and on the avin the image appears the other way around. Do you have an idea why?
@zahariaradu3144 does the unit have 3 yellow RCAs or just 2? Should have reverse cam, front cam and AVin.....is your front camera plugged into front cam or AVin?
So front camera is plugged into cvbs yeah? When you come out of reverse is the front cam activated in the settings? On some of these units "fcam" refers to a dash cam and not a front camera like you have installed.
In this video it's a Pumpkin unit, now discontinued. I am now running Eonon VWA12S unit....see this video ruclips.net/video/dfeChMJUMEg/видео.htmlsi=kUZb9FGOHEqXhqhV

Did you connect the signal wire
No trigger wire required with android units as they work of the canbus
Where did you connect the red and black wires coming from the front camera? I couldn't see well. Thanks!
The black ground wire is going to a bolt in the body work and the red wire is extended and goes to fuse slot 4 ignition live fuse
Can I have a link to the front camera please???

I have three yellow plugs. 1 is connected to the rear camera, 1 is to the front camera (cvbs). And one with video output.
So front camera is plugged into cvbs yeah? When you come out of reverse is the front cam activated in the settings?
On some of these units "fcam" refers to a dash cam and not a front camera like you have installed.
Does the RCD330 can handle two cameras?
No....rcd330 only has rear camera input.
