My son was emotional as well. It makes sense during such an iconic and historic event for those who grew up with and were influenced by these people and their music. I'm 76 years old and heard all of it. I love it too. It's very good to admit one's emotional attachment to something that moves us deeply. This event was such an important gift to so many for so many reasons. Thrilling and exciting. Inspirational and encouraging. Provoking tears and memories. A deeply felt memory and experience. Congratulations and thank you to everyone involved.
Yo watched 6 different reaction videos of this half time performance this is my favorite not just because of your reaction but because you got your boy with you as you witness it. I’m 19 and the reason I know most of these great artists is because the few good moments I remember with my father were us jamming to these very songs. It is important to share these sometimes unimportant moments with your kids it gives them some idea of how you grew up and who you are. I'm not sure what helps with mine but I think it's my adblocker on my google chrome in the add-on's or something. I don't remember the last time I got an ad on my pc, still get them on my phone sometimes and my tv is ridiculous with ad's. As far as you putting the headphones on your kid, it's never too early to educate them on the classics.👌
A lot of people say they could have done more. However, the halftime show as a whole, is like around 13 to 15 minutes. So you have to try to cram as much as you can into that short amount of time, plus setting up and taking down the stage set, hence that's why you only hear snippets of songs and not the whole thing. Still for that limited amount of time, it was one hell of a show.

It was a historic moment. FYI - no artists gets paid when performing at the Superbowl. However, the organization might provide partial cost for entertainment setup or some of the props used.
