I was a Jehovah's Witness and I woke up one morning completely knowing that I was believing the wrong things. It was a complete 100% change in 24 hours, and I just knew I didn't need any organization to speak to God for me. At what point in time to you realize that if you keep sinning... there is no sense in repenting because you are really not repentant at all. God knows your heart... not what you profess. If what you profess does not match up to what you do... then you are living a lie.
As a faithful Mormon, I can tell you that we do indeed believe in being saved by grace. We cannot "earn" our way to heaven. Grace is free. Mormon's do NOT believe that grace is earned. It is by His love and mercy that we are saved. However, because He has paid the price for our sins, He stands in a position to ask us to "do"...to repent, to keep his commandments, to serve one another, to overcome weaknesses. Not to earn grace nor heaven, but to grow to become more like Him. That is His goal for us and the purpose of His eternal sacrifice. Otherwise, why are we here at all? To grow. To learn...and finally, to be saved despite our sins and weakness IF we choose Him. Where are we going after this life and why would the atonement be needed at all unless it exalted us to something better AFTER we are allowed exert our faith and free-will toward change. True perfection in Christ won't happen in this life, but it definitely starts now.

I was a Jehovah’s Witness for 32 years up until last year. I worked and worked for God....that’s what I believed at least. In the end I felt empty, my work as an elder was not joyful, now I know why. I worked for an organisation not Jesus. And there’s so much resemblance between the Mormons view of works and the JW:s. Like ligaments connect our bones, when you are reconnected to your holy God by the born again experience, you will have a relationship with him. I’ve heard multiple forms of Mormonism but from what I understand they read the Book of Mormon. Isn’t that the book written by Mormon centuries ago on plates about the life of Christian people? The main difference from what I understand is that the Bible is said to be word specifically from God while Mormon wrote his information and the stories of others without the help of God.
@@elitaylor2934 I'm always hesitant to respond to these comments because the bottom line is you have to study it for yourself with an open mind and an open heart. Focusing on how you feel when you're studying. Personally, when I study the Book of Mormon, I feel peace, comfort, encouragement, and other good feelings. It talks about how Christ came to America after His resurrection. It gives a word-for-word of what the Savior taught when he arrived. Every lesson in the book is good. Every prophet who wrote in it testifies of Christ. All good stuff. Don't rely on other's opinions. Gotta find out for yourself.

Also, i believe the Bible teaches that if you are saved, then you cannot lose your salvation. Visit Romans 10:9-10. Then, rededicate your life. If you've stepped away from obedience to God then you surely know that it does not lead to peace or joy. Sin can look fun for a season, but it doesn't take long to see the darkness underneath.

I believed in Jehovah since I was a child ( did the study never joined and now I'm doing a study again to draw closer to him) not once have they ever used Jehovah to scare me even in their teachings. While I still wont join the organisation, the lady who does study with me is separated from her husband and left the organisation for 8 years before returning. This is in the UK though- I find in other countries,they are alot stricter. 🤷♀️ (just speculation)

People tend to be extremely ignorant and narrow-minded, so we really have no reason to let their opinions affect us is this regard/context. You are correct that we don't need to be rooting out all thoughts or ideas that we believe are incorrect and correcting them because that would take forever and not be time well spent, but if I have the opportunity to say that I believe in Christ and that that is the focus of the church I am a part of I will do it. I had left the LDS church when I was 33 years old after not believing it to be the true church as I had been told. I spent 2 years as an agnostic when I picked up a Gideon bible and began reading it in the call room. I read 1Corinthians 1:18 which read: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that are perishing foolishness, but unto us that are saved it is the power of God.” The Holy Spirit told me I was perishing. I told him I knew that and that’s why I was reading this Bible. He then said I didn’t need to perish because He had established preachers to point me to the cross. I sought a Bible believing friend that God used to help me get saved. God’s word is the key that opened the door to my eternal salvation

I'm bawling my eyes out, I never cried so hard MT abdomin hurts. This is very similar to my story. I was lost in the LDS church, a friend who is a pastor, showed me the way. He told me to have a child like faith. I been reading the Bible, wanting to learn all I can. I just started my journey, roughly 9 months ago. Phillippians 4:13 is the first verse I remember, and it's on my first cross I own!! Beautiful testimony!!! Jesus is amazing.

They left Jerusalem about 600 BC. and ended up in what is now known as South America. They never had contact with anyone else for 1000 years except their family members. 1/2 of the clan got wiped out by the other 1/2. So the whole book is about their dealings with God. Their visitation of Jesus Christ after he died in Jerusalem. These people were the people that Jesus spoke about in the Bible as being "other sheep" he has which are not part of the Jewish fold.

I watched this video while I was serving my Mormon mission. It opened the floodgates of grace. @@noneone8726 it is through Jesus and not men that you are saved. no works can ever save you in heaven, it is freely given. all you have to do is open up your heart and mind and freely give your soul to him, this is how you come to know his grace. and then you are saved then and after and forever more. that's what he is talking about that you cannot save yourself through works. you are already saved, he paid for your sins already. but to feel it, to feel his holy spirit, to feel him, you have to let go of all of your fear, face it like how this young man did and salvation is on the other end of this cross you are bearing, the cross that christ already bore to set your free forever from the sins of not knowing him and the chain of this world that keeps you from trully knowing him and the freedom you have on the other end of the bridge. again salvation is given, it is not earned. but you have to know him.

If you've read the Bible you may be able to recall John been confused someone not with the disciples was able to cast out devils, Christ then said if we're not against Him, we're with Him. Put it this way, there's only one me, my family will believe something about me and strangers will believe something different. Anyone serving their neighbours are serving Christ, in Matthew 25 Christ says, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." King Benjamin in The Book of Mormon tells his people, when you are in the service of your fellow beings, you are only in the service of your God. Everyone can follow Christ no matter which church or none they're members of, God gave his Son to the world, not gave his Son to a Church. There's only two churches on earth, anyone faithful in Christ following his teachings are members of his Church. Anyone fighting against Christ's teachings are members of the Devil's Church (the world/pride of men).

I’m not sure if anyone will ever see this but growing up as a minority LDS member I never felt like I was good enough, compared to the other members I grew up with who did everything right and stayed righteous. I’m becoming an ex-mormon. And for the longest time I was fearful of even going back to believing what Jesus meant to me as I thought Mormonism was what Christianity was. It took me a long time to come to terms with myself and let go thinking that I was underserving of the grace and love God had towards me cause to the Mormon religion, I felt like i had not done enough.

Your experience in the church is very different than mine. I was always taught that we're saved by Grace alone but that our conversion to Christ should promote good works. I'm sorry you weren't taught that in your wards. We shouldn't be doing Godly things to earn the atonement, but rather should be doing great things to honor Jesus Christ's sacrifice for us. I don't do good things in my life because I feel like I have to or I'll be punished I do it because I want to show Christ that I love him enough to become more like Him. The LDS church has been only a blessing in my life and I feel liberated through Christ just as all the evangelicals.
You can play that testimony a million times and each time it will draw many souls to accept Christ. This testimony is and will be the gift that keeps on giving in the best sense of the phrase. Thank you for reminding me I was not just foolish or just impressionable when I recognized Christ as the only way to the Father many years ago.

We have been married for 54 years. I have been preaching since I was saved. Now a Nursing Home Pastor for 28 years. Keep on Testifying. Blessings

I know he thinks he's following jesus. He found the easy way out. I have many born again Christian friends who sin freely like the world does. They tell me because they are saved they no have sin to burden them. Not committing sin is considered a work. They worship Christ in name only. They are saved by grace and not by works.

@Chris Blair I wouldn't gamble with eternity if I were you. What if the day you die you are faced with the fact that there is a Heaven and a hell & you can't go back and get a second opportunity? Gods Word says we are saved when we Believe in his Son Jesus Christ. By adding in "being saved" to 1 Cor. 1:18 indicates it's a process. So in my view he isn't quoting the Word of God, because God wouldn't imply it's not a done deal once we believe. We are not being saved, we are saved. And non believers aren't "perishing" they are "condemned already because they have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" John 3:18. That's why my bible says "to them that Perish". As a Mormon He was working his way to Heaven, it seems he'd recognize the bible he has, implies he hasn't quite made it yet.

Such an amazing testimony! My step daughter and her family are mormon as that was the religion she was raised in and I so wish and pray they see the truth as you have. As crazy as it sounds to you evangies, The Mormons are actually set up on the foundation of Apostles and Prophets just as Paul taught to look for. We have the apostolic Priesthood authority to act in the name of God. Jesus Christ taught the scribes and Pharisees as one having Authority. That authority was restored to the earth by John the Baptist to Joseph smith. The reason that we call the lds church the Only True and Living church is because we have a prophet of God and we receive revelation continually from God to direct the direction of his Church. The Book of Mormon is the most correct book on earth and a man will get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts than by any other book. Test it out yourself. I grew up Jehovahs Witness and now a Christian. As a kid I grew up with that cult forced on me and never was allowed thoughts of my own. It wasn’t until I reached middle school that I even thought about thinking for myself. Since then I’ve been researching and all that research led me to Christ. There is people out in the world who don't know the gospel so to them living the gospel and laws of God are not available, they can't fairly be held accountable for breaking laws they don't know which is why the Lord is more merciful to those who don't know his teachings and commandments. They are not receiving the opportunity so we offer and invite them to learn of the gospel and commandments of God. A God of justice will make sure everyone receives the opportunity to learn about faith in Christ, what Christ did on earth, how he lived, so we share the restored gospel giving everyone the privilege to accept or reject. I chose myself to convert to the Lord and conversion to the Lord is a lifetime process, it's not have faith in Christ then you're converted. It's not join the Church and you're converted. Whether they accept the invitation or not is up to them.

My friend was raised Catholic, and I believe hasnt given his heart to Jesus and is caught up in Religion n not Relationship.He is searching for answers but says whenever I talk about Salvation that hes saved and basically says all the right words but then when I press him to find out why he believes hes saved his answer is he wants find Jesus on his own in his own manner.What would you suggest? Truly sorry to hear you left the true faith that Jesus gave us. Having the Sacraments, which includes the absolution of sins and especially consuming the body and blood of Jesus at Holy Mass means we are connected to Jesus in an infinitely more powerful way none of us can imagine. This is the close relationship Jesus wants with each of us. While all Christian denominations share some or partial truth to a greater or lesser degree the difference between Catholicism and any other christian denomination can be described as the difference between drinking pure water from a spring to drinking water from a puddle on the road. Both options may quench a thirst but they are not the same thing. The very Bible that non Catholic christians read comes from the Catholic Church, as does the concept of the Holy Trinity, 3 persons in one God. This is not defined in the bible but by the Catholic Church.

This really teared me up. ONLY Jesus saves! I cannot express how amazing He is! He saved me from wrongdoing, and returned me to the Holy Scriptures again after ten years of disbelief. If Jesus was not real, then how come over half of the world believe in Him? Many people forget that He is essential in Islam as well, even though I do not adhere to that religion. Those who do not know Him yet just need to seek Him out, and He will reveal Himself.
This sent chills down my whole body. The Holy Spirit is moving through you in a profound way. I’m a student, first year here in Utah, and I’ve run into many social boundaries, as I am Christian and not a member of the LDS church. I have a friend currently at BYU who is just about to finish her 2nd year and is getting married in September. I so desperately want her to know who Jesus is. I am not an ex-Mormon and I never get to see her. I love her so much, but I have really no outlet to talk with her. This video reminded me that I can plant a seed, but it is God who grows it. I just want her to know how loved she is and how UNCONDITIONAL it is. A man who took the 19th century wedding vows to cherish one wife, took 39 more wives against the one man one woman teaching on marriage of the Lord Jesus Christ in the NEW TESTAMENT. In spite of this fact, his followers sing a song about him from their hymnal titled, "Faithful and True." The Lord is the only one worthy of these attributes as noted in Revelation 19:11 where he is called FAITHFUL AND TRUE. There is a marvelous blindness upon those who leave the path of righteousness. CONCLUSION: Christianity is a personal relationship with the the Lord Jesus Christ, which by following only him, believers will also be saved from being "tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive...(Ephesians 4:14)." PRAYER: Dear Jesus, I trust in your merits and grace to save me. I renounce and denounce all the false doctrines of men that you never taught or mentioned that are contrary to your Word. I pray that you'll lead me out of darkness and into your light of truth and righteousness. Being bought with a price and not my own, I will mortify the deeds and works of the flesh with the help of your spirit, and serve God by keeping your commandments. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Finally... he tells the leader that if he doesn't let the slaves go... he will kill all of the first born from all the families in his country... and all the first born of the animals too. And so what does God do??? He hardens the heart of the leader and the leader does not let the slaves go. So... God then kills all the first born humans and the first born animals in the entire country. All because the leader would not let the slaves go. And to think... he had to harden the leaders heart so he would not let the slaves go. How would you feel about that God?

I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.” "He again forbade me to join with any of them". Hmmm. None of them. Seems like God was not very happy with what the Christian world had become. The doctrines.. and oh... the creeds. The Romans had many Gods... and the Greeks had many Gods... and what did the Christians have. ONE God... that now that the Son showed up... that is TWO Gods... and the Holy Ghost shows his power... now there is THREE. So what do the Christians have? THREE GODS IN ONE!!! That is better than what anyone else has. And so it was voted on and it took years and years and years to become accepted by the Catholic Church... and then when the big Protest happened against the Catholic Church... the Protestants bought the THREE GODS IN ONE hook line and sinker. Now... that has become the ultimate doctrine of acceptance to be called a CHRISTIAN. It is no longer because one believes in Christ... NO... you must believe in the Trinity or you worship another Jesus. Yes... I can understand how God the Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to the 14 year old boy who knew nothing of these kind of creeds and doctrines and told him... no... forbade him... to join with ANY OF THEM!!! I left the Catholic Church. And when I became a Latter Day Saint... I was so happy to hear that the doctrine of the Trinity was a false doctrine. For it never set right with me. Never. I even asked the Nuns when I was taking catechism classes after school. And their answer then was... "My son... that is one of the many mysteries of the Kingdom of God. What is the real mystery was God the Father and his Son came to set the world right and teach the truth concerning many things about the Kingdom of God. And it was rejected mainly by those of the Christian Faith... just as in the times of Jesus the Jews also rejected the truth concerning many things about the Kingdom of God. This good young man never really understood what he was taught when he was growing up. He is giving testimony to exactly the doctrine of the LDS Church. Caution "faith without works is dead, as are works without faith! We are saved through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and Redeemer and the finisher of our faith. His mission leaders should have shown both love and compassion toward him, not what he explains as unkindness and ridicule. I was sad to hear that. We believe all men should have the right to believe as they see fit, as long as that belief does not cause harm to others. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for over forty years, I wish both he and his family, well.
Faith without works means you prove the amount of faith you have by living it. How can you prove to me that you trust your parachute - just by what you say with your mouth? No, what would be undeniably convincing would be if you proved it to me by your works. You jump out the plane. That way I have no doubt and I can see your faith by that action. The passage here is talking about how men can see faith in others. Since faith is believing in the unseen, it can't be demonstrated before men unless they see your works which is motivated and driven by your faith. Faith without works is dead. If you have faith, it will be demonstrated in our life. God can see the faith in our hearts, because He is God. The faith we come to Him with in salvation, He sees. But how can men know that we are His? It's by the fruit we bear. God wants us to be a light to the world and show our faith by our works to men. Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Salvation is trust in Christ alone. You have nothing to do with it, just believe on Him. But your testimony after salvation is shown by your fruit that you bear and the works you do. This testimony is what God wants His children to have in the eyes of men to be a witness of God's grace.
Raised in the Mormon church, I always felt that I just wouldn't be good enough. Now I'm a member of a 4 quare Christian Church. So proud of this young man. I still live in Utah and u have no idea how hard it is to be a believer in this state. You will be completely cast out. Your own blood will condemn you. I was a Jehovah's Witness and I woke up one morning completely knowing that I was believing the wrong things. It was a complete 100% change in 24 hours, and I just knew I didn't need any organization to speak to God for me. Sophia Cope... so what are you doing for God?? Are you still sinning? How often do you sin? Do you keep repenting for the same sin over and over and over and over again? At what point in time to you realize that if you keep sinning... there is no sense in repenting because you are really not repentant at all. God knows your heart... not what you profess. If what you profess does not match up to what you do... then you are living a lie.
As a faithful Mormon, I can tell you that we do indeed believe in being saved by grace. We cannot "earn" our way to heaven. Grace is free. Mormon's do NOT believe that grace is earned. It is by His love and mercy that we are saved. However, because He has paid the price for our sins, He stands in a position to ask us to "do"...to repent, to keep his commandments, to serve one another, to overcome weaknesses. Not to earn grace nor heaven, but to grow to become more like Him. That is His goal for us and the purpose of His eternal sacrifice. Otherwise, why are we here at all? To grow. To learn...and finally, to be saved despite our sins and weakness IF we choose Him. Where are we going after this life and why would the atonement be needed at all unless it exalted us to something better AFTER we are allowed exert our faith and free-will toward change. True perfection in Christ won't happen in this life, but it definitely starts now.

I was a Jehovah’s Witness for 32 years up until last year. I worked and worked for God....that’s what I believed at least. In the end I felt empty, my work as an elder was not joyful, now I know why. I worked for an organisation not Jesus. And there’s so much resemblance between the Mormons view of works and the JW:s. I’ve heard multiple forms of Mormonism but from what I understand they read the Book of Mormon. Isn’t that the book written by Mormon centuries ago on plates about the life of Christian people? The main difference from what I understand is that the Bible is said to be word specifically from God while Mormon wrote his information and the stories of others without the help of God.

Focusing on how you feel when you're studying. Personally, when I study the Book of Mormon, I feel peace, comfort, encouragement, and other good feelings. It talks about how Christ came to America after His resurrection. It gives a word-for-word of what the Savior taught when he arrived. Every lesson in the book is good. Every prophet who wrote in it testifies of Christ. All good stuff. Don't rely on other's opinions. Gotta find out for yourself.

Also, i believe the Bible teaches that if you are saved, then you cannot lose your salvation. Visit Romans 10:9-10. Then, rededicate your life. If you've stepped away from obedience to God then you surely know that it does not lead to peace or joy. Sin can look fun for a season, but it doesn't take long to see the darkness underneath.

I believed in Jehovah since I was a child ( did the study never joined and now I'm doing a study again to draw closer to him) not once have they ever used Jehovah to scare me even in their teachings. While I still wont join the organisation, the lady who does study with me is separated from her husband and left the organisation for 8 years before returning.
This is in the UK though- I find in other countries,they are alot stricter. 🤷♀️ (just speculation)

You are correct that we don't need to be rooting out all thoughts or ideas that we believe are incorrect and correcting them because that would take forever and not be time well spent, but if I have the opportunity to say that I believe in Christ and that that is the focus of the church I am a part of I will do it. I had left the LDS church when I was 33 years old after not believing it to be the true church as I had been told. I spent 2 years as an agnostic when I picked up a Gideon bible and began reading it in the call room. I read 1Corinthians 1:18 which read: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that are perishing foolishness, but unto us that are saved it is the power of God.” The Holy Spirit told me I was perishing. I told him I knew that and that’s why I was reading this Bible. He then said I didn’t need to perish because He had established preachers to point me to the cross. I sought a Bible believing friend that God used to help me get saved. God’s word is the key that opened the door to my eternal salvation

I'm bawling my eyes out, I never cried so hard MT abdomin hurts. This is very similar to my story. I was lost in the LDS church, a friend who is a pastor, showed me the way. He told me to have a child like faith. I been reading the Bible, wanting to learn all I can. I just started my journey, roughly 9 months ago. Phillippians 4:13 is the first verse I remember, and it's on my first cross I own!! Beautiful testimony!!! Jesus is amazing.

They never had contact with anyone else for 1000 years except their family members. 1/2 of the clan got wiped out by the other 1/2. So the whole book is about their dealings with God. Their visitation of Jesus Christ after he died in Jerusalem. These people were the people that Jesus spoke about in the Bible as being "other sheep" he has which are not part of the Jewish fold.

No chariot has ever been found. No ruins. No coins, No animals, no crops. No bones of buried peoples, no soldiers bodies on battle grounds. No peoples. Nothing. The Mormon Church has not been able to find anything and they have tried for years. Anthropologists have tried for years.
So you can go on believing in a Church who has no historical evidence. Or you can come to the hard terms that you have been duped, and study the truth you find in the Bible. It will fill your soul. It will fix that hole and you will finally be able to stop working for salvation.

If there were an omnipotent, omniscient and infallible god, it would be INCAPABLE of making mistakes. If humanity is flawed, either the god does not exist, or it is malicious, and deserves hatred, not worship. Which is it? If it is omnipotent, it would have NO need of any book, preachers, prophets, signs, angels, martyrs, churches, etc. It could, and logically would, communicate DIRECTLY and UNAMBIGUOUSLY to each individual being on an individual basis.

The Bibical (not the LDS one) story of gospel is God becoming a man (Jesus) in order to reconcile us back to God and restore the world to how it is supposed to be. Also in regards to the New Testament disagreeing with his logic. Begin at verse 14 in James 2 and read it all the way to 26. If you've read the Bible you may be able to recall John been confused someone not with the disciples was able to cast out devils, Christ then said if we're not against Him, we're with Him.

I’m becoming an ex-mormon. And for the longest time I was fearful of even going back to believing what Jesus meant to me as I thought Mormonism was what Christianity was. It took me a long time to come to terms with myself and let go thinking that I was underserving of the grace and love God had towards me cause to the Mormon religion, I felt like i had not done enough.

Your experience in the church is very different than mine. I was always taught that we're saved by Grace alone but that our conversion to Christ should promote good works. I'm sorry you weren't taught that in your wards. We shouldn't be doing Godly things to earn the atonement, but rather should be doing great things to honor Jesus Christ's sacrifice for us. I don't do good things in my life because I feel like I have to or I'll be punished I do it because I want to show Christ that I love him enough to become more like Him. The LDS church has been only a blessing in my life and I feel liberated through Christ just as all the evangelicals.
You can play that testimony a million times and each time it will draw many souls to accept Christ. This testimony is and will be the gift that keeps on giving in the best sense of the phrase. Thank you for reminding me I was not just foolish or just impressionable when I recognized Christ as the only way to the Father many years ago.

Gods Word says we are saved when we Believe in his Son Jesus Christ. By adding in "being saved" to 1 Cor. 1:18 indicates it's a process. So in my view he isn't quoting the Word of God, because God wouldn't imply it's not a done deal once we believe. We are not being saved, we are saved. And non believers aren't "perishing" they are "condemned already because they have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" John 3:18. That's why my bible says "to them that Perish". As a Mormon He was working his way to Heaven, it seems he'd recognize the bible he has, implies he hasn't quite made it yet.

The reason that we call the lds church the Only True and Living church is because we have a prophet of God and we receive revelation continually from God to direct the direction of his Church. I grew up Jehovahs Witness and now a Christian. As a kid I grew up with that cult forced on me and never was allowed thoughts of my own. It wasn’t until I reached middle school that I even thought about thinking for myself. Since then I’ve been researching and all that research led me to Christ. We don't force anyone to convert, they choose to convert themselves or reject. There is people out in the world who don't know the gospel so to them living the gospel and laws of God are not available, they can't fairly be held accountable for breaking laws they don't know which is why the Lord is more merciful to those who don't know his teachings and commandments.
They are not receiving the opportunity so we offer and invite them to learn of the gospel and commandments of God.
A God of justice will make sure everyone receives the opportunity to learn about faith in Christ, what Christ did on earth, how he lived, so we share the restored gospel giving everyone the privilege to accept or reject.
I chose myself to convert to the Lord and conversion to the Lord is a lifetime process, it's not have faith in Christ then you're converted.

If you were Catholic, you were already baptized and saved. By leaving the true church, you are rejecting the Church that Jesus founded.
Truly sorry to hear you left the true faith that Jesus gave us. Having the Sacraments, which includes the absolution of sins and especially consuming the body and blood of Jesus at Holy Mass means we are connected to Jesus in an infinitely more powerful way none of us can imagine. This is the close relationship Jesus wants with each of us. While all Christian denominations share some or partial truth to a greater or lesser degree the difference between Catholicism and any other christian denomination can be described as the difference between drinking pure water from a spring to drinking water from a puddle on the road. Both options may quench a thirst but they are not the same thing. The very Bible that non Catholic christians read comes from the Catholic Church, as does the concept of the Holy Trinity, 3 persons in one God. This is not defined in the bible but by the Catholic Church.

Jesus came to fulfill the Old Testament and by freeing us all. Therefore, when we get saved and give our HEARTS to Jesus , the Holy Spirit now dwells in us. Jesus came for a relationship. He wouldn’t have gone to the cross if otherwise. The spirit was with us before but not in us. I am not rejecting anything. I still pray to the saints and believe in their significance. This really teared me up. ONLY Jesus saves! I cannot express how amazing He is! He saved me from wrongdoing, and returned me to the Holy Scriptures again after ten years of disbelief. If Jesus was not real, then how come over half of the world believe in Him? Many people forget that He is essential in Islam as well, even though I do not adhere to that religion. Those who do not know Him yet just need to seek Him out, and He will reveal Himself.

I have a friend currently at BYU who is just about to finish her 2nd year and is getting married in September. I so desperately want her to know who Jesus is. I am not an ex-Mormon and I never get to see her. I love her so much, but I have really no outlet to talk with her. This video reminded me that I can plant a seed, but it is God who grows it. I just want her to know how loved she is and how UNCONDITIONAL it is. It has been noted that the book of Mormon was a novel written by Solomon Spalding according to Dr. Walter Martin, the author of KINGDOM OF THE CULTS, who is also related to Brigham Young. Over 4,000 words in the book of Mormon are alleged to have been plagerized from the KJV.
A former Mormon woman gave her testimony on CBN 700 Club on a RUclips video how she went to hell, or on her way as a Mormon. Realizing that she was lost as a Mormon, she left the organization.
Connie Downin of San Jose rented a room from a Mormon family. After a while, she had a dream, and in the dream she saw a scroll with the words: "DWELL NOT WITH THEM THAT ARE WICKED, NOR SPEAKETH WITH THEM." The important message here is that people who believe lies entangled in the cults cannot expect to be saved.
Christians are to "contend for the faith that was ONCE delivered unto the saints (Jude 3)," but Mormons and others, such as Ellen White followers contend for false doctrines/teachings not found or mentioned in the NEW TESTAMENT, and promote and defend, against the will of God, their prophet's book and/or invented heresies. How much more truth do people need to follow Jesus and be saved? NONE. "Truth claims/restored truths" or anything else that are not of his Word are to be rejected: "Casting down imaginations, and everything high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5)."
A man who took the 19th century wedding vows to cherish one wife, took 39 more wives against the one man one woman teaching on marriage of the Lord Jesus Christ in the NEW TESTAMENT. In spite of this fact, his followers sing a song about him from their hymnal titled, "Faithful and True." The Lord is the only one worthy of these attributes as noted in Revelation 19:11 where he is called FAITHFUL AND TRUE. There is a marvelous blindness upon those who leave the path of righteousness.
CONCLUSION: Christianity is a personal relationship with the the Lord Jesus Christ, which by following only him, believers will also be saved from being "tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive...(Ephesians 4:14)."
PRAYER: Dear Jesus, I trust in your merits and grace to save me. I renounce and denounce all the false doctrines of men that you never taught or mentioned that are contrary to your Word.
I pray that you'll lead me out of darkness and into your light of truth and righteousness. Being bought with a price and not my own, I will mortify the deeds and works of the flesh with the help of your spirit, and serve God by keeping your commandments. Thank you for hearing my prayer. Imagine that God wants a leader of a country to let the slaves in his country to go free. And so he brings a lot of plagues upon them but only after HE hardens the heart of the leader to not let the slaves go free. Finally... he tells the leader that if he doesn't let the slaves go... he will kill all of the first born from all the families in his country... and all the first born of the animals too. And so what does God do??? He hardens the heart of the leader and the leader does not let the slaves go. So... God then kills all the first born humans and the first born animals in the entire country. All because the leader would not let the slaves go. And to think... he had to harden the leaders heart so he would not let the slaves go.

And what did they say to that 14 year old boy who came to inquire of the Lord.. "was to know which of all the sects was right, that I might know which to join."
Did they tell him to become Catholic? Baptist? Lutheran? Episcopalian? Did they tell him to join any church he wanted... that it really didn't matter? Did they tell him to just go home and come back when he is older? What did they tell him? In his own words... this is what they said:
"No sooner, therefore, did I get possession of myself, so as to be able to speak, than I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong)-and which I should join.
I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong; and the Personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt; that: “they draw near to me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me, they teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of godliness, but they deny the power thereof.”
"He again forbade me to join with any of them".
Hmmm. None of them. Seems like God was not very happy with what the Christian world had become. The doctrines.. and oh... the creeds. I am sure he was not happy with the Trinitarian notion that Father , Son and Holy Ghost are all of ONE substance so they can match up the ONE GOD notion. Yes... you have Jesus Christ who is the God of Old Testament, and he comes to earth as the Savior of the World and introduces himself as the Son of God and introduces us to... THE FATHER. Now there are TWO GODS. We can't have two Gods... and if you throw the Holy Ghost into the mix... that now makes THREE. The Romans had many Gods... and the Greeks had many Gods... and what did the Christians have. ONE God... that now that the Son showed up... that is TWO Gods... and the Holy Ghost shows his power... now there is THREE. So what do the Christians have? THREE GODS IN ONE!!! That is better than what anyone else has. And so it was voted on and it took years and years and years to become accepted by the Catholic Church... and then when the big Protest happened against the Catholic Church... the Protestants bought the THREE GODS IN ONE hook line and sinker. Now... that has become the ultimate doctrine of acceptance to be called a CHRISTIAN. It is no longer because one believes in Christ... NO... you must believe in the Trinity or you worship another Jesus.
Yes... I can understand how God the Father and his son Jesus Christ appeared to the 14 year old boy who knew nothing of these kind of creeds and doctrines and told him... no... forbade him... to join with ANY OF THEM!!!
I left the Catholic Church. And when I became a Latter Day Saint... I was so happy to hear that the doctrine of the Trinity was a false doctrine. For it never set right with me. Never. I even asked the Nuns when I was taking catechism classes after school. And their answer then was... "My son... that is one of the many mysteries of the Kingdom of God.
What is the real mystery was God the Father and his Son came to set the world right and teach the truth concerning many things about the Kingdom of God. And it was rejected mainly by those of the Christian Faith... just as in the times of Jesus the Jews also rejected the truth concerning many things about the Kingdom of God. Both times Jesus Christ himself was involved, and both times he was rejected.

This good young man never really understood what he was taught when he was growing up. He is giving testimony to exactly the doctrine of the LDS Church. Caution "faith without works is dead, as are works without faith! We are saved through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and Redeemer and the finisher of our faith. His mission leaders should have shown both love and compassion toward him, not what he explains as unkindness and ridicule. I was sad to hear that. We believe all men should have the right to believe as they see fit, as long as that belief does not cause harm to others. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for over forty years, I wish both he and his family, well.
Faith without works means you prove the amount of faith you have by living it. How can you prove to me that you trust your parachute - just by what you say with your mouth? No, what would be undeniably convincing would be if you proved it to me by your works. You jump out the plane. That way I have no doubt and I can see your faith by that action. The passage here is talking about how men can see faith in others. Since faith is believing in the unseen, it can't be demonstrated before men unless they see your works which is motivated and driven by your faith. Faith without works is dead. If you have faith, it will be demonstrated in our life. God can see the faith in our hearts, because He is God. The faith we come to Him with in salvation, He sees. But how can men know that we are His? It's by the fruit we bear. God wants us to be a light to the world and show our faith by our works to men. Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Salvation is trust in Christ alone. You have nothing to do with it, just believe on Him. But your testimony after salvation is shown by your fruit that you bear and the works you do. This testimony is what God wants His children to have in the eyes of men to be a witness of God's grace.

Raised in the Mormon church, I always felt that I just wouldn't be good enough. Now I'm a member of a 4 quare Christian Church. So proud of this young man. I still live in Utah and u have no idea how hard it is to be a believer in this state. You will be completely cast out. Your own blood will condemn you. When he said "Jesus is all I need" you better believe him!!! God bless this young man. What a LION amongst all others!!!!💕
I'm a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and I also live in Utah. I know the culture here can be very judgemental, and can sincerely say that I'm sorry. I think I've been one of those people, and that's not right. That's not what the church teaches. Christ taught us to love and fill our hearts with charity. I hope you can forgive us. We are imperfect people trying to work on ourselves day by day so we can be like Jesus. Carry on, and God bless you.
