My Aunt used to color in these 24/7, and she got me into them. She passed away recently, and we went through her apartment. Her coloring book pages were all filled 100%, and I have her colored pencils (which are organized in a perfect rainbow.) the pages or beautiful. These pictures can be so close to someone’s heart, treasure them.
So true!!❤️
Aww so lovely maybe you can frame some of them ❤
I love coloring so much.i could just sit ALL day and colour. It is like meditation for me and it has helped me so much. But i ABSOLUTELY hate intricate designs. They make me so anxious and stress me out even more. So i tend to choose more simple designs even if it's a children's coloring book. Works for me! 😁
anonymous •_ 💯
You're so right anonymous.........I have been using coloring books as pain therapy . I swear that it helps me so much. I focus more on laying down the beautiful color and less on the pain that never leaves me. It is so helpful.❤️
I have a hard time not finishing, I have to finish my page. It would drive me nuts seeing that much not finished
I also have over 120 books now
me 2
Same here. I feel like I couldn't move forward if I didn't finish a page.
I have 0 i wish i have one😢
I wish I was like you!
I love coloring books. And I can't stop purchasing them either even though I have ones I still need to finish coloring in. xD
Omg the Peter Pan and Alice ones are definitely my favourites!
Same
Me too!!!
''Olaf is very easy to colour because you just gotta to colour his arms and his nose and then you're good'' (':
You have so many beautiful books! Thinking about getting some and drawing while listening to an audiobook!
I finally got the Alice in Wonderland coloring book. The designs are pretty. I also plan to get the Lunar Chronicles and Mortal Instruments coloring books.
Jasmine Dubois where from
Where can I get the Alice in wonderland coloring book
I LOVE that your book shelf is sorted by colour!!!
Your colouring books are so pretty! ♥ Especially the Alice in Wonderland one!
I really want the Throne of Glass colouring book!!
Best comment I've read all day
I want that one too.
I just posted two adult coloring books on amazon...
Color My Heart and Amazing Grace
how do ur crayola markers not bleed through the pages? :o
Because there water based, it's the alcohol based markers that bleed through. Hope this helps.
The Water Life coloring book is awesome. That MANATEE picture made me jealous
I am completely obsessed with adult coloring books! I used to buy kids coloring books for myself at dollar tree all the time. I love having more adult "themes" and a variety of intricacies. That Peter Pan book is definitely on my list of books to buy!!
I have around 15 books now 😁 and almost exclusively use colored pencils. I've been teaching myself how to do some shading and blending but have also colored just using single colors with no fancy techniques. I love Johanna Basford's books! Definitely recommend checking them out!
Why do you buy colouring book that has intricate drawings when you don't like colouring in them -_-
simplybansari because when she feels like she's better at coloring she can move on to the harder coloring books
I now have 100 Adult Coloring Books. I love Prisma Pencils, vibrant & creamy!
Have you colored Soul Coat ? Waht do you think>
I only have the Enchanted Forest (by Johanna Basford)
And I really want the Harry Potter ones and the Throne of Glass one!
+Cornelia Sundberg me too
Same! :)
Cornelia S Johanna basford is the best
Cornelia S you have an awesome collection
I actually want Game of Thrones & Throne of Glass c.b. 😍 Btw nice video
I scan all my coloring books and blow the tiny ones up in Excel to go over like 4 pages. And use Sharpies. I haven't colored in forever... and I have a TON of books.
Impressive collection. I just published my first adult coloring book which is mostly about surreal drawings of nature with a psychedelic edge.
Micah Buzan Where to go to order the books you made and came out with? Because would love to check out your books also
Nice collection...
if you want to color in the Harry Potter book without it bleeding , you can place a few sheets of copy paper in between . I do that and it works perfectly
For coloring, put a piece of cardboard underneath the page you are coloring then it wobt blead through
I use a lot of different kinds of media, I use colored pencils, fineliners, gelpens, etc... The intricate ones are quite fun at times... I actually sometimes don't finish either but eventually I will, I think. Your Alice in Wonderland is really nice. I like that white rabbit. Staedler Fineliners work with Millie Marotta's books. Just put a blotter page-cardstock or construction paper behind the one you are coloring if you are afraid of bleedthrough. New Follower....on both you tube and twitter...
Have you tried Soul Coat ? What do you think?
I'm definitely a colored pencil type of person! But I do have a set of 120 alcohol markers and sometimes I will use them as a base layer and then go over them with colored pencils to do the shading. Alcohol markers are great because as long as you don't let it dry then they don't leave those streaks like water based markers do. The only downside to alcohol markers is that they bleed through pretty much everything, even card stock! So I only use them in books that have single sided pages and I put a sheet of acetate behind the page I'm working on so it doesn't bleed through to the next page. Coloring with colored pencils is a slow process but basing my page with alcohol markers first and then shading with colored pencils saves me a lot of time!
finally someone who doesn't like small spaces to color, I felt like I was the only one who prefers simpler designs!
I have two coloring books. I have the first Doctor Who one they released and then I have the outlander one. When I first got them I was so in the mood to color in them but I had loads of schoolwork to do and then when I eventually did have time to color I wasn't in the mood. I have only colored one partial one in the Outlander coloring book. I think it also has to do with the color pencils I have as they are a pain in the butt and constantly break and fall apart.
it's good to know that I'm not the only one with a bunch of coloring books! lol I've got animal kingdom, lost ocean, enchanted forest, Paris street style, escape to wonderland, color odyssey, Disney villains, and more!
I am 3 years late-
But I love adult colouring books! I recommend Cinnamon bun dreams: a comfort food colouring book By Squishable. I have it and i’m addicted! It has a bunch of cute foods. And it’s not that hard to colour either! Definitely recommend it.
One thing that helps with marker bleeds is putting blank printer paper under the page that you're coloring and it doesn't bleed at all
Well, I never thought I would be coloring as an adult. But I received a coloring book and colored pencils as a gift. Now that I have started it, I find myself looking for time in my day to start coloring. I am strange in that I start at the front and color to the back even if there is a favorite, I wait until I get there. Thanks for sharing. Sean
i'll never get how you can make a video about colouring books and still be amazing
OMG, u have so many books that I have already read, and I'm just happy about that :) (For example HP, Seleciton, Cinder or Throne of glass :)) That was the first video I watched from your channel, but I guess I will subscribe :D
I like colouring books too, I have got 3 of them, 2 from Johanna Basford - they are taking so much time to color, but they are so beautiful then :)) - and one which's title is just 'Creative Colouring' :))
I'm in love with the Shakespeare one!
I looked into the alice in wonderland one as soon as i had seen it on your last haul video and noticed the author also had the peter pan one which im glad you got and showed us. Did you know that the same author is having two more out on October (i think)?? One of snow white and another of the wizard of oz :)
I was browsing around to see if she had anymore coming out and couldn't find anything so that's good news! Yay!
Summer Nights and Daydreams by Hanna Karlzon are my favorite coloring books. They are hardcover and such good quality paper. What kind of Crayola markers do you use? I noticed they don't bleed through the pages too much.
I use a bunch of different crayola ones, not just one kind!
I totally agree
Crayola supertips don't bleed
I recently saw a Vogue colouring book at Chapters! It had bigger surfaces to colour than the more intricate ones, and the illustrations are all vintage covers of Vogue Magazine. I feel the need to buy it the next time I'm there because I LOVE the style of fashion drawings.
For the animal kingdom book I like to use a mix of fineliners and felt tips so it's easier to fill in the intricate bits :)
I have a few... To say the least :) and I'd attach a photo if RUclips let you do that. But as a skimmed selection I have the Alice in Wonderland by Good wives and warriors, the Harry Potter original and the magical creatures, Disney princesses in the same style as your frozen one, I have a few Christmas ones, the secret garden and enchanted forest are two of my favorites, I've got a wizard of oz and another Alice one that have the full stories alongside the coloring. And a few more...
I am da same way when i have a lot of coloring books when i still have a lot of pages to color really love the alice in wonderland one and da last one
i dont even have one... but I am going to buy "secret garden"
You can get them for 4.43 at walmart.
Try Soul Coat Its awesome.!
I do agree.. the intricacies are intimidating. So I have decided to make my own colouring book with the illustrations I make for my Instagram art page. Hopefully I’m able to pull it off !
hailey i love your honesty to say you only buy books and crayons you like and like me sometimes i do not finish you are only one of the people i can listen you .i am calling from england love your tutorial x x
I like your use of bright color in your books. My problem with the cheaper markers is the streaking that you get with water based markers. You can see where you have been and that is when the color overlaps that causes the streaks. I just can’t get passed that. But, if it does not bother you, then it looks like you are in great shape.
Manatees ftw! They're my favorite animal ever! Plus, you have some GREAT books. You might have inspired me to start up my coloring again.
Have you tried Soul Coat ? It;s awesome.
Hello, i started to create adult coloring book, i don't know if it's allowed to do this here, i published my first book, can i talk about it here ? thank you.
I love it!!! I also own four adults coloring books. But I really want that Harry Potter coloring book~~omg!! Love this
These are some great books! The Peter Pan and the Alice in Wonderland ones look awesome. Those will be added to my collection sometime soon, and I totally want the Harry Potter ones. Thanks for sharing your collection with us. :)
I love adult coloring books 💕
For the Harry Potter one, if you want to use markers, try putting some sheets of notebook paper underneath. It doesn't bleed into the next pictures then. I tried it for my Potter coloring books and am happy with the results.
You are so good at colouring I have to get one for myself ☺️
you should check the "coloreanding" ones. they're by a Mexican artist. It has really thick lines and its really easy to color.
I have a big coloring book collection too but almost just collect literary ones to have them. I get intimidated by the intricacies as well and never finish! I do it until it isn't fun anymore :)
Hello! Thank you so much for review my books!
I recommend using alcohol based markers. They blend a lot better and don't create those darker streaks water based markers do
your awesome I love how you never finish just like me
I use gel pens in I love it cause some come glittery 😊
I'm subscribed to a colouring book magazine and they send me 4 issues every month with about 12 A4 pages to colour in and they have a theme for each issue and then the rest of the magazine is like full of stuff about colours and ways to colour and techniques and all that stuff and they also send pencils and pens with every issue and pencil trays to keep your collection of pencils stored in. There's 100 issues I think and I've got about 65 of them so far.
It's called Art Therapy. I'm from the UK, so not sure if they sell it internationally but yeah haha. I would get all these colouring books but I've got so many of these magazines to colour in first lol.
CastleFlameGal I get that too
I have the Color Me 2 by PJC Smart and it's really quite large but it has awesome spaces for coloring! It's basically just a bunch of animals with lots of geometric patterns and designs in the illustrations, you should check that one out! :)
For Christmas the other year I got the Throne of Glass one and the Harry Potter one that you have, and my best friend just got me Mandala Meditation for my birthday. I also just ordered The Selection coloring book and the Lunar Chronicles coloring book and I can't wait to color in all the pretty dresses!
There is also Escape to Wonderland which would be right up your alley in terms of Alice in wonderland colouring x
Omg your books in your bookcase are organized by color! I love that!
I'm actually in the process of looking into designing one right now! Cool to see that people are still interested in them and have positive experiences from channeling their creativity.
I love that you explain how thick the pages are and show the ones you have colored. I love "the Alice in Wonderland". You did a stellar job. You might like "Botanical Wonderland" by Rachel Reinert. It's beautiful and is not so intricate. I enjoy it. It is also mixed media friendly. I have been doing water color pencils.:)
p.s love your book collection in the background!
I feel like I like the exact same colouring habits that you. Do, I don't like really intricate colouring books and I like markers over pencils, really enjoyed seeing your collection! I love the Alice In wonderland one!
A lot of people say they haven't finished pages in their coloring books...It makes me wonder ...why. purchase so many books and what real
pleasure or relaxation can there be.
I just bought one for a dollar on Wal-Mart clearance section, it's nature coloring, it was like 15$
Hope help me relax lol
do you have the fantastic beasts and where to find them coloring book?
I'm going to get my first ever coloring book and this really helps! So excited! And I saw a coloring book for the Beauty and the Beast live action and I'm so pumped to color it too!!
I've got tropical wonderland by millie marotta (I had another one by her but I gave it to a friend because she's really into colouring too and I really doubt I'll even finish this one) and I've got enchanted forest by johanna basford which I haven't even started yet, I haven't done anything in either of them for ages and watching this has made me want to start again because I did really enjoy it :)
Great collection!
I need to get back to work on my own coloring books! :)
For coloring utensils I find that Sharpie Fine Tip Markers work really well for intricate pictures with lots of small spaces, although they do bleed through the pages. I just tear mine out.
I'm a colouring book junkie. I have tons of them and I just keep buying them. I really want that Alice in Wonderland one..so cute
I use those coloured pencils and love them cause you can rub them out
I recently saw an adult coloring book and bought it, I like to use markers, but idk which kinds to use, crayola are to fat for my liking, and sharpies leak through.
I’ve just bought lost ocean ( by Johanna Basford ) exited about it 😇
I have the Throne of Glass coloring book. I'm more than halfway done with one of the pictures. Pretty soon I want to get the Lunar Chronicles coloring book. The Alice in Wonderland one looks nice. I might order that one on Amazon.
you should try the cryaola twistable color pencils they work really well.
Awesome collection! This made me want to start colouring again xD
Not really related to the video but I'm just wondering if you'd do a video of your Pottermore sorting? I'm curious to know which house you are in!
I've been getting into coloring books recently so I clicked on this video really fast XD Love the Peter Pan and Alice ones! I think I'm gonna get them :D
you can also use colored fineliners for the small spaces xxxx
Those are really beautiful colouring books. I like how you did a close up camera angle and it was seamless with your talking about the books. Really well done, ur very talented!.
I have Harry Potter colouring book and I haven't been colouring for quite a long time since I'm too busy with my study and reading books :)
I love your makeup in this video. You look so pretty!!
Book outlet has coloring books as their 50/50 sale. Beginning today.
I find it so weird why you have so many books and just don’t colour through them?? Isn’t that the point??
I’ve been collecting books also. I have more realist ones. Like I have 8 serial killer ones… the Friends show coloring book… Michael
Jackson, and Whitney Houston.
i love adult coloring books
you should check out the color me lisa frank adult coloring books there so awesome.
Enjoyed your video and your collection of books. I like that you admit the larger spaces are easier and more fun. Ditto!!
Hey!! I actually just found your channel today and already subscribed!! I was wandering if you had any mystery books to recommend. I have a short attention span so a good murder mystery keeps me occupied😂👌🏼 any ideas?? I need some new books before school starts😬
If you use water based colouring pens these won't go through the thinner pages. I've got the Harry Potter one and I use Faber Castell Grip Colour Markers and have had no problems with them. I got them on Amazon xx
I think my coloring books are called Wonders of the World or World Wonders but I'm not sure haha. One is of things of the ocean, the other of flowers.
Have you thought about using gel pens, especially for the more intricate pattern books? I don't have the patience for colored pencils for the same reason and I find gel pens more relaxing since they don't require a lot of layering and pressing down hard.
i don't remember what video it was but your recommended the night circus and i just read it and THANK YOU so much for telling me to read it the book was AMAZINNG, half the book i didn't know the plot but it was just so intriguing.
I have living wonders, journeys in coloring, magical jungle, the official game of thrones coloring book, Harry Potter places and characters, and 2 mandalas coloring books
Hey, I was wondering if you do colouring book wall through's ? For example receiving a free book from the artist and you create a video giving your opinions and a walk through of the book ?
I really want a junk food adult coloring book those are so fun
You work is amazing and the color choices are excellent.👌
How do you prevent your marker from bleeding through each page? I don't see any flaws or color bleed?
Try gel pens for the super intricate coloring books they are awsome.
