After many years of playing guitar, I'm starting to play around with slide. So fun and this song is pretty easy and jams so well. Thx for the lesson

I just went down a George Thorogood rabbit hole, and it all circled back to James James! Once again, well done sir! Who doesn't LOVE some 3 Chord George, especially when you're right down the road from Wilimington, DE!?!?

Hey James, you're former privettricker, right? You pretty much teached me how to play alternate tuning rock'n'roll several years ago! Good to see you're still on your game! Keep rocking :)

There are certain tunes you play that sound as if you've done them 1,000 times. This is one of them. Just great. The explanation of Duane's way vs Lonesome George's style is much appreciated. It would be interesting to hear how, for example, you'd do Joe Walsh or Don Felder doing a Thorogood tune and/or vice versa.
Second season starts on Wednesday. There is so much parity in the NHL (in a good way IMO), I don't think there is any clear cut favorite for the Cup. Each fan (of a playoff team) has a reasonable chance to argue why their team could hoist the Cup. Should be quite entertaining into June.

Great video for me to learn something! I know nothing about slide guitar, but my bandmates dropped this song on me to learn. Can you confirm the tuning that you’re using? I think your first string is in open D, and your fifth string is in open G. Is that correct? Is there any other strings that are detuned or tuned differently? Is this standard slide guitar tuning? Thanks!

    Big difference between
    Duane Alman and
    Most slide players
    With the exception of
    Derick Trucks.
    And Page might have
    Used slide in the
    Same positions as
    George but he was
    Way more creative !
    It's like the way people
    Use pentatonic scales.
    Everyone kicks it around
In so many different ways .
    Some create magic with
    Them.
    And some use them
    And bore you to death
    With them.

You did another video of move it on over with a different guitar with f holes and single cutaway. What guitar is it? I really like it.
You and I have the same approach to music. I don't know scales, can't read music, know the principle behind tab but have never tried to learn that way. I learn by watching and listening. I'm 58 and have played on and off over 35 years. You keep doing your thing. I love it. Oh by the way, I love your videos using slide a lot. Keep up the good work.
