Hi

Oh third

The only thing my son does automatically is *lose hair* 😂
Bro?😳
Roasted by ur dad who has a full head of hair. Dang the old man was cold as ice lol
Another old man quote of legendary proportions 🤣
I miss the old man , that was colossal burn towards Rick 😂
Hey Bald is beautiful 😂
That was the most respectful, & simple trade I have ever seen on this channel.
I feel like as soon as they got the new scriptwriters in, the show became far too dramatic for what it actually is
Yeah because he sold them the equivalent of a thousand dollar bill for $950.
It wasn't a trade it was a sale, and it was probably faked I assume with all three of those paid extras in the background pretending to be customers

Facts.
Old man: "Nobody could build anything like that now, because the regulations and tree huggers..." 🤣
There is actually a bigger sculpture of crazy horse being built pretty close to Rushmore. Can't wait to see it completed
Well, not just tree huggers but mostly the natives, it was built on their land so we can't be doing that anymore, it ain't right
@Mea Culpa subjective but that's fine. Look it up it's really cool. Also it's crazy horse on a horse, not just a horse
@General Pershing I don't think they do 😭😂
@@DJDeezNutz i remember reading that in first grade and then looked it up last week again and here you are my dude being cool bringing it up 👓
"Yeah I can melt it..."
Man we lost a real treasure didn't we? 😟
You dont melt cool stuff like that.
Thats insanity! It's worth at LEAST $1500 in my opinion. Phew, this got me worked up. Lol
@@_BeansAndCheese_ but what if silver price goes down
One of The Old Man's favorite things to do was ship stuff to the Refiners. Didn't matter what it was, . . . he just loved to see everything melted down. Especially U.S. Coins. He really did not like to keep anything made of PM on the shelves, for whatever reason and usually fought with Rick over it.
@@horseslong1766 but value is more then material cost. This was made by the son of the person who created Mount Rushmore AND was as a tribute to the father. It’s has very strong historical value, material value and even just coolness/collectible value. If I were rich and into this I’d pay $2k for it. It’s super cool.
He was a precious metal guy through and through. Sees silver and impulsively wants to scrap and melt it before spot prices drop. RIP sir.
Yeah .. he probably melted down a lot of beautiful art for scrap prices... Kind of stupid.
@@kevinkarbonik2928 easier to sell in
@@kevinkarbonik2928as they always say in the show it costs money for them to hold it and sell it, but scrapping it doesn't really cost anything, it's more of a risk laying around for a pawn shop at least
@@kevinkarbonik2928 u do realize last scene was scripted and he did it only for camera right?
it was scripted for comedy@@bulletholeteddy9223
As soon as the old man heard the word “silver” he started smiling.😆
"You can't scrap George Washington"
"Why not"
Lol
"Because you can't"
scripted comedy scene
The way he said no no don’t melt it 😂
The seller kind of looks like an old Apollo Creed
LMAO
Racist
"You can never lose with precious metals"
2mins later....
"We need to sell before we lose money"
😂
scripted comedy scene
Oh wow, Bit outdated though..... there's a little more than 4 Hokage.
where kakashi face?
That was copied from rushmore uk
hok age? What age is that? huh???
You sure right. There 3 kages missing
@@NeoGamemaster It's a Naruto reference. It takes place in the village of the leaf, which immortalizes their hokage(leaders) in a mountain above the village, just like Mt Rushmore.
I just realized the Old Man had more hair than his son 😂 3:45
Only the old man could blatantly offer less than scrap value on precious metals right to the face of a seller 🤣
It's a pawn shop, if you think you're gonna get retail on anything you bring in you don't understand the business
The old man the absolute legend
Old man : Nobody can build anything like that now because of regulations and tree huggers.
Rick:😂😂😂
I couldn't even tell if he was agreeing or disagreeing, almost both too me.
I’m with Rick on this one. As a collectible combined with it being made of pure silver, you could probably get $1200 for it.
Yeah the fact that it's made by the son of the sculptor makes it a valuable item.
scripted comedy scene
I'd love to know how much silver (and gold) the Old Man had stacked before he left this world.
10,000lbs
He likely had more than ron Swanson. I remember his pre-1982 penny hoard.
Should have asked for $2000.
Silver in 2002 was $5oz - Late 2011 $48oz - now $27oz
...the Old Man was right about copper too! It's over $4 a pound now, with the bullion being bought up faster than it can be smelted.
I actually knew a guy that worked on Mt. Rushmore when I was a kid (Walter K. Long). He always told this joke... "I'm so old I blew Lincoln's nose." (somebody would invariably say something akin to "you can't be that old") "Yeah, I just stuck a piece of dynamite up there and blew it out!"
Watching the old man get excited after talking about it being .999 percent made me laugh
Man the show won’t be the same with out the old man. Rip
*This is an insult to the scrapping community*
The Old Man loves silver 😂
The only thing he does automatically is lose hair. -Old Man
2012: You can't scrap George Washington.
2021: Hold my jack hammer.
Liberals be like:
Some one else wants to put their face up there.
Some should snipe who ever gets close to mount Rushmore.
Rick “You can’t scrap George Washington”
Old Man “Why Not”
Rick: You can't scrap George Washington.
Liberal today: Hold my beer.
Not real no trump on it
Fake news
I think you meant Hold my vegan locally sourced wine cooler
3:52
rick: "because you can't its raw"!
Gordon Ramsay: ITS RAW!!!!!!!
"You can't scrap George Washington".... meanwhile.. people scraping pre 64 quarters by the bucket load! ✌️
When I worked at my uncle’s gas station in 2016 while still in school, this guy sold me $30 in old coins. I didn’t know much, but I saw a 1922 Silver dollar along with an 1863 quarter as well other very valuable coins, and knew I was in business for that price. Went and had the 15 or so coins appraised for $165+ and, the silver value is probably that now. Unfortunately, I sold them myself for a quick $100 when I was young and dumb. I probably came across a pre ‘64 around once weekly back then because I saw so many coins!
European here, I've not used paper currency here for about 10 yrs now.
We scrapped our "cents" recently, so our lowest coin would be roughly 14 cents.
It's so weird being the US when I just tell clerks and stuff to keep the below-dime change for themselves, when I have to pay in cash and get change.
Wish it could all just go digital in the US.
"tree huggers"🤣🤣😂
“And Tree Huggers” lol Old Man don’t give af
Usually the show begins like this:
Anybody: "Hello, how are you doing today?
Rick: "Do you mind if I call in an expert?
You forgot to mention before he calls in an expert to ask how much they are willing to sell for, so then Rick can tell the expert to lowball their offer when they come in.
''only thing my son does automatically is lose hair'' lmaooo
Rick - Mountain rush more
Old man- melt get cash more 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
Old Man: MELT IT DOWN 😂😂
Seller is crushed
Mr. Brown and Lincoln Borglum sculptured sculpture sculptures famously.
"You can't scrap George Washington"
*"Why not?"*
"You can't scrap George Washington." Pretty soon you'll be able to.
A beautiful and very wonderful offer. I wish success and progress in your wonderful work. Health and safety to you. My thanks, appreciation and respect.
I'm pretty sure the old man had the soul of both a dwarf and a dragon.
Pretty cool piece. Old Man was ready to scrap it. Was fun to watch. Great video
More “old man” is like having more “cow-bell” a little is never ever enough.
i love how rick and old man argue😂😂😂
$8 is about $150 in today’s money. So it was actually a fair wage.
Every dad in the world....And love such dads...❤️❤️
Knowing these guys actually melted a bunch or rare gold coins from a stolen collection, I would never sell any precious gold or silver items to these guys. They just melt everything.
Scrap it? That is an insult the the Mount Rushmore silver plaque community.
Your comment is an insult to the RUclips comment community.
@@moolissa379 your insult is an insult to the insult community.
I’m happy it sold in his sell range
Another reason for Teddy Roosevelt on Mount Rushmore
He created the National Parks and famously refused to shoot a black bear and of course led to Teddy Bears.
Old Man always spoke his mind. R.I.P., sir!
Rick: “You can’t scrap George Washington”
why not?
@@eeJOKERee George Washington was the 1st US President and Rick is patriotic I guess.
@@ECiT745 Old Man: why not?
if I am understanding this correctly, 8 dollars in 1941 was a lot of money. if the inflation calculator I am using is correct, that's the equivalent to $143.14. that's what these workers were getting paid every day.
That’s $700 a week. That’s nothing.
@@isailevilopez5134 That actually isn't terrible. considering its a job that someone could do without a college degree. Also, i did the math and if they worked 8 hours a day, they would have been paid 17$ an hour which, at least to me, is s pretty good amount. in my area i consider that to be s lot of money.
That’s worth 1500 all day long and they both know it!
ITS A PAWN SHOP
Lol idk why I keep rewounding the part where the old man asks "why not" just sounds funny af
The Old Man was clearly the best part of the show
Old Man starts smiling when he sees its .999 silver.
I laughed so hard at that "tree huggers" comment
To scrap or not to scrap ? That is the question here before us.
3:45 classic old man
I truly miss the old man…😭 he was a joy to watch always made me laugh… n never met him… just watch is show… he’s differently one of a kind…..
If that silver was worth $1000 in 2012 up until this year the price was only going down so hopefully they sold it.. in 2019 they would have lost about 400+ dollars on it
The Old Man sure does love his silver :)
The old man “nobody could build anything like that now. Cause of regulations and tree huggers 😆😆😆😆☝️
I’d like to see what the art expert would appraise that at. It may have an even better value as a sculptural piece than even Rick thinks.
Its an replicate item wouldn't go for much. It's not an original piece.
@@TheAazah Its still made entirely out of silver, but either way how are you going to carry the entire Mt. Rushmore into a pawn shop?
Lmfao regulations , for real was a great episode of pawn stars lol
@top RAHmen if it's too do with killing nature I agree
The old man is like a kid now haha
A beautiful little silver piece.
We all miss the old man!
The Old Man looked adorable when he was grumpy/frowning. R.I.P.
Smoothest pawn stars transaction I’ve seen
"No one can ever build anything like that anymore" *coughcough* Crazy Horse memorial *coughcough*
"Thats why we call it gold and silver, not copper and lead..actuallu copper is over $3 a pound so I'd probably take it" 😂😂
My dad used to do cleanup of copper in old demolished buildings. He'd pull often 3 to 4 Gs a job just in copper.
*Well if Rick still has that plaque, he's going to have to wait to sell it, because silver is down at the moment... but it'll be back up soon enough.*
Not sure when this was filmed but I doubt it, silver is up big in the last uear. And with the premiums it is much more valuable.
@@DJDeezNutz *I don't believe silver has fully returned to its high watermark it was at in the early 2010s. It will soon enough though.*
@@superbrownbrown yeah I guess you're right. $950/30oz would be $31.66/oz. Pretty close to today though when factoring premiums.
Silver gang rise upp.
@@DJDeezNutz *Give it time. It'll happen.*
Dang tree huggers....Classic Old Man!!!!
There’s actually another sculpture bigger than Mount Rushmore like 30 minutes away from there of a Native American
Has it been completed?
Chumlee ended up dropping it and put a dent into it.😂
Rest in peace old man
You know when I see old man face I drop a tear
Expert : It's fake
Rick : The best I can do is laugh at it and I'm taking a huge risk here
😂😂😂🔥
Wow this is so cool seeing videos still being posted 😎🙌
Must be weird to see your dad on youtube still after his passing years ago
Silver went down. It's now worth about $665. The old man was right all along 😅
The ol man knew what he was talking about. Silver is in every electrical device...hence the price keeps going up.
$8 in 1925, when Mt. Rushmore was authorized, is worth $120 today. So that's really not that bad for physical labor.
1:43 lmao
It’s like RUclips already knows I’m about to grub so they recommend a pawn stars vid
Who else loves scraping steel tho steel prices are pretty good in the US right now down here in Baltimore Maryland its 175 dollars a ton a ton is 2000 pounds and for an example a stock bike wit no mods weights between 3 to 7 pounds
1:45 did i see the old man smile?!!
I wish copper was at $3 a pound 😂
Omg the seller man looks like the main character from soul.
Mt Rushmore still isn't finished. They ran out of funds.
What didn't they finish?
@@sovereign831 they were supposed to complete all of them down to their waists
I work near the borglum museum 😆 doing Chainsaw art, not far from Mt Rushmore
I could watch guys all day
Rick is a great patriot. Not sure if his knowledge of history is scripted, but I don’t think it is. Did really good for himself to be a 9th grade drop out. I can relate
if you listen to his speeches at CPAC he really does know his stuff
scripted comedy scene
3:18 i figured that happen lol.
What a LEGEND.
Three of the presidents on Mt Rushmore were Land Surveyors.
I wonder if they ever had an art collector check out that plaque. It is a limited run sculpted release by a famous sculptor. That may be best knowledge to make the scrap vs sell decision
