Sorry for some of the audio issues in this video! I had a faulty wire and I didn't know it! The problem has been fixed for future videos - PHEW!!! xo Thanks for watching ALSO - I got my annual and perennial messaging mixed up. ANNUALS are only one year - PERENNIALS come back EVERY YEAR. ok, thank youuuuuuu 😅
Your hair looks cute! And cutting off the bottom of long hair is the quickest way to get it healthy again. And if you miss the purple, just used colored anti-brass shampoo for blondes that is purple.
Danie! Your hair looks so LOVELY! Cannot wait for more gardening content. I'm also learning as I go with my garden, making more mistakes than I'd like to admit.
You dont learn if you dont make mistakes - I think that's the rule right? Im going to be sharing ALL the knowledge i've learned and will now put into practice this year - COME ON VEGGIES!!!
Danie, if you want lots of corn, you need to plant it in rows in the ground. You need about 6-10 rows for it to properly pollinate and grow edible ears. That little tub isn't enough room. But, tomatoes would likely thrive in the tub!
Have you considered water collection - you could place a water tank/barrel by your compost bin behind the greenhouse - and connect to getters around the greenhouse. Its what I am hoping to do this year. ;)
Not gonna lie. I cried when you cried. You feel like a safe space for everyone! I love your hair it might not be what your armor is yet, but it's a step. Time and patience. You are doing great. We are doing great no matter where we are in our lives right now. Your videos always give me the motivation to do something, even if it is small.
Danie, I´ve been a silent watcher for years but i just have to say: This is my all time favourite hair style of yours 😍 I know your purple hair ment more for you than just the color! But this suits you SO well! XO Eva
The greenhouse is everything. I am absolutely the sort of person who requires lovely spaces and things to keep me inspired and I can’t think of a more inspiring space to keep the love of gardening well fed 😊. I’m not much of a gardener myself. I do not have much of a green thumb, but I aspire to be at some point. I am surrounded by avid gardeners, though, and have been an up close observer to the process from being almost totally lost as to how to begin and what to do to them now being very knowledgeable and confident. There is one through line for them all, regardless of their natural talent for it: do not be afraid to “fail”. You will lose plants. Things just won’t work out like you planned them the first time. It takes years to really get to know your soil, sun patterns, weather cycles. Even insects have cycles and you may feel you have gotten all the details nailed down and along comes some random bug to upend it all. Various blights and rots and sometimes things just don’t flourish and you never can quite figure out why. It’s a very humbling enterprise but, from what I have observed, the more you let go and let the wild things tell you what they want, the more your garden will flourish and the more satisfying the experience will be. But it sounds like you, too, have avid and experienced gardeners in your family, so I’m sure you already know all this. I’m just wanting to cheer you on and affirm the entire enterprise. We humans are so used to being in control of our environments but nature always wins. Her wisdom is astounding to behold. I’m excited for you and look forward to seeing the journey unfold. Your hair suits you very well. It looks lovely 😊 I love how we so often mark a new chapter in our lives with a new haircut lol. I don’t know why we do, but it’s one of my favourite things about us. ❤
Ah, I remember watering the greenhouse plants every morning when the rest of my family was away on vacation. Fresh cucumbers and tomatoes can't be beat!
I love the feed bag, I'm a horse lover so this is just a true joy for me to see. I think it has to be one of those thing that you use and enjoy around the garden. Tools, veg collection bag, weeding bag, the uses are endless. Your a lady after my own heart. Those things bring us so much happiness. 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗
Love the hair it’s so cute! You’re so sweet to share your tears for your stepdad. There’s no rules set in stone for grieving. Wish I was there to give you a big hug! Love you, love your channel. You are amazing. 🌼🥰❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Love your hair. Looks great on you. As for the leather bag, I’d put your garden tools in it. That way you could carry it around outside if necessary. Thank you for showing us your greenhouse. Gives me hope that spring is around the corner. 🙏🇨🇦
I really felt that with you, when you had an emotional moment of remembering Vince. I know he was so special to you, and your greenhouse is such a lovely homage to his legacy. I'm an OG subscriber and so I remember the videos of you going to Vince (your) "my Italian" for help with wood working. One of my absolute favorite projects that you did with Vince was that large bowed/warped piece of live edge wood that you made into a desk for a woman's office. (I think she is the person who creates that beautiful paint you used in the makeover). You and he worked really hard on that wood to get it straight. And I thought he was so sweet and that you two had such a lovely relationship. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. He lives on in your greenhouse and in your videos.
Your hair looks GREAT Danie!! Love your emotions/feels shining through, it's beautiful to see the sheer joy and love you have for Vincent and this your Greenhouse.
It's such a cute hairstyle.. it totally fits you. I also have the same haircut, and yes, my neck burns, so sunscreen is helpful on the back of the neck, or a damp cool towel when outside in yard or hiking helps too, but it's easy to keep up and perfect for spring and summer hot weather.
Danie your hair looks great!!! ❤ You made my eyes well up when you went in the green house and cried. My heart goes out to you, sending hugs. I love watching your dog wanting to play with you while you are digging the square for the composite. He finally gave up and took his fresbee with him. 😅
I love the cut it’s cute. I love we’re back in Vincenzo’s garden. This is the first growing season how exciting. Getting more coffee. Settling in for some more epic content.
Loving the new hair style 😍. Definitely reuse the horse feed bag as tool storage as if you put soil in it, then it could rot the bag. Handy hint about your watering system, come time to put your garden to bed then remove the outside connection, then less likely to split in the bad weather.❤
... and make sure the tubing is completely drained, even if that means trying to suck any leftover water out with a shop vac. It sounds silly, but worth it in the long run!
I'm sure you've researched a bunch for this project but Epic Gardening with Kevin Espiritu, Regenerative Gardening with Brie, Gardening in Canada with Ashley (a soil scientist) and Huw Richards Garden are fantastic resources for sustainable, self-sufficient gardening. I'm loving the Gardening content from you and your new haircut!
@@choochalah ohhhh, WOW, electroculure gardening?! That sounds REALLY intimidating! Though, the more I read into it, the more I think my own grandparents did something similar waaaay back in the day (80's) because there was always an area of their greenhouse my sister and I were banned from because it was "dangerous." Hmm... Looks like I've got a new topic to research this summer! Thanks for sharing the term for this style of gardening!
Love the new hair, especially at the end where you had it without bangs, so cute! Got me in the feels when you were looking through all of your stuff, especially the truck.
Your new hair do looks fabulous, really suits you. I cried with you when you we’re remembering your step-dad. Looking forward to seeing this project evolve. I love that this has so much meaning for you.
I lost my brother the same time you lost Vince. Your video gives me hope that I can one day enjoy my creative spaces again. I can't right now but someday
Love your greenhouse xxx and your hair, and felt the love and the sadness and fondness and happy memories in that moment and just wanted to hug you until you were able to carry on xxx ❤️ Then you cracked on with it and bubbly again and I wad like 'Let's do this Queen!!!!!'
You rock that hairdo! Still can't understand how on earh you could make a greenhouse so stylish and beautiful. Like hanging out with you, no matter what your video is about.
Nice hair cut, looks great. Suits you very well...I really like it! Exciting that we start with the green house journey. Plants like cofee, so you can mix coffee grunsh with the soil and should be good.
Dani...how cute are you...I love the cut..so sweet...love the raised bed idea ...keep in mind with your plans cutting the grass..I hate edging so I like my lawn mower to push right past raised beds, walkways etc...have you thought about seating...little area under your arbour between the raised bed ..a place for you and your mom to cool off and have a cold beverage...hugs from Belleville
Your new hair is glam-chic-cute! I lost my mom this winter and I totally know the feeling of sudden tears when you see a beloved reminder... Gardening is so therapeutic and new projects are motivating.
I love the leather feed bag! I think it would be cool for tools when you go out to work in the raised beds, or maybe you could use it as a produce bag to carry your freshly grown veg to the house 😉
#1. LOVE YOUR HAIRCUT! Your compost pile may become the new sunflower garden....seeds?? I bet it was fun fixing it up for this season. ❤ Happy Spring!! Raining in Michigan, chilly. `~Deb @Debra L Pate Art
Love this!! Couple things: I am amazed that you knew how to set up the irrigation system! So awesome. Then, my heart hurts for your “old door” shelving!! Have you considered sealing with a water-based poly, matte finish? It’s a beautiful idea to use the door, but I would be concerned with water damage, as it seems there will be a lot of drippage and overspray with the watering system. I still want to be DIY Danie when I grow up (I’m 68!!). Best wishes and keep creating!
Hi Dani your new do is so cute 😊. Nothing better than getting into the dirt and playing with plants ! Enjoy … there’s such a healing power in gardening 😊🌞🌻🌾
Love the raised bed and archway design! One of my favorite things in garden design is when there's a kind of reveal or surprise element. To that end, the flagstone path that goes between the beds and is covered by the archway could have something visually fun at its end up against the fence. Maybe a nice bench with potted flowers around it, or a burbling fountain, or a birdbath or sculpture, or some art fixed to the fence itself. Something that, once someone walks through the archway, is a nice surprise for them to feel like they discovered! Can't wait for the next video Danie!
Love the hair and the greenhouse is as magical as ever! The raised beds expansion is an excellent idea, especially with the arch to continue the magic. I’m wondering why you don’t grow your corn in your yard since it needs a lot of room for a fairly low yield. Wouldn’t the bathtub be a good place for potatoes and sweet potatoes instead of the corn?
I love the haircut, I know what you're going through. For the past year I'm going through the same thing. It can be hard, but we are strong and the hair will grow as we are healing ♥ I send all the love Danie ♥ GREENHOUSE TIME !!!
I love your hair super cute. That horse feed bag I was thinking oh strawberries popping out the holes but it'll ruin with water. So I'm a tool girl definitely ❤
Your hair looks very nice and you wear the cut well. On the garden love the ideas with the raise garden with the arch and you can also have bistro seating by the garden with some coffee and tea.
Danie, your hair looks fabulous! It’s a perfect summer cut. :-) If you would have fun learning more about gardening, my favorite guru’s are Garden Answer and Epic Gardening! They may not be in your particular zone but they are very knowledgeable about what works where and how to get the most out of your space.
I don't know if it's the hair or the fact that spring is finally here, but man did I loved your mood today! Very fun video to watch and you inspired me to go work in my own plants.
That style of compost bin is designed with an open bottom for a reason. Drainage and contact with the worms, bugs, microbes that are in your soil are essential. Also being able to lift it up and access the whole pile is so much easier than trying to shovel out of the little trap door. The cleats you bolted to the board are meant for stakes into bare ground.
I'm so glad to see the greenhouse wintered so well! Just a note on corn: It's wind pollinated and it's likely to get MUCH taller than what your tub and greenhouse can provide. If you want actual corn, I'd suggest planting outside and in a grid configuration so the plants cross pollinate each other rather than relying on insect pollination.
LOVE the new hair Danie, almost as much as I loved Kenobi bringing you his ball while you were doing the piece to camera outside the greenhouse at the beginning. 😄 He's such a sweet pup ❤ (I know you won't mind me loving Kenobi more, but only just, cos your hair looks fantastic)!! x
That feeder would make a great tool carrier. I use a basket for all my small tools when I’m out in the garden. Helps me keep track of them because there’s a designated spot to put tools down. It’s easy to lose those smaller tools when you’re working in the garden.
Didn't anticipate all the feels and emotions that would hit me so hard in this video. 😢 Something about spring makes me so emotional, it's very healing! P.S. Your new hair looks adorable! You pull that off really well!
Love the new 'do! Cut my hair short this spring, too! We can be pixie sisters 🧚♀️🧚♀️ The raised flower bed is a great idea, but remember that you will need to be able to reach over it. Maybe have the arch consist of 4 posts and a roof? You can train vines to climb up the posts from the ground. Does Clematis grow well in your area? Something like that is colorful, beautiful, hardy, would return every year, get fuller with every pruning, and wouldn't take up space in your raised bed.
Making my day! I have a small raised bed! Cucumbers, tomatoes, and string beans! The beans fed my groundhog! HaHa! But so nice to pick fresh salad fixings! Love your green house!

Fab hair by the way! 😮🤍
Loooooved the greenhouse vids!
I loveeeee the new "do"!! So cute on you ❤
I love the feed bag, my first thought was that it would make a perfect bag for harvesting your vegetables to take in and wash
Hopeful for a great growing season! Good luck!🍀

Perennials…. Come up every year
I absolutely love your green house and the Tun is every thing!
I KNOW I KNOW - I just said it backwards haha I'm blaming my dyslexia for both saying it that way and then not catching it haha xo OH BOYYYY
I love everything from your hair to the vintage feed bag!! Maybe you could use the feed bag to gather your harvest?
ohhh what a lovely visual that creates xo
Harvest bag was my thought too.
Yep me too...my first thought when I saw that great bag🌹🌹
That’s a lovely idea!
Same here....I thought harvest bag as soon as I saw it.
Have you considered water collection - you could place a water tank/barrel by your compost bin behind the greenhouse - and connect to getters around the greenhouse. Its what I am hoping to do this year. ;)
Your hairstyle/cut is a real Kallmekris moment and I love it! Embrace the short hair life for awhile! Flirty, fun, and freeing!
LOVE the hair! Raised garden beds, the higher the better.

Corn is also wind pollinated - probably that is what went wrong with last year's ears,

LOVE the new hair Danie, almost as much as I loved Kenobi bringing you his ball while you were doing the piece to camera outside the greenhouse at the beginning. 😄 He's such a sweet pup ❤ (I know you won't mind me loving Kenobi more, but only just, cos your hair looks fantastic)!! x
Your hair is so cute!!!! It fits your personality perfectly. Love it!
Love your hair!!! I think tools in the bag and I'm excited to watch your greenhouse expand and grow💖
I like the idea of flowers for the horse feed bag! You are so sweet and smart. You go girl!!
Loving the new hair style, suits you.
Vincenzo’s is open for business again, corn crunching times ahead, fingers crossed🌈
I love the repurpose filing cabinets by taking out all the drawers and laying them on their back for a super easy raised garden bed
That feeder would make a great tool carrier. I use a basket for all my small tools when I’m out in the garden. Helps me keep track of them because there’s a designated spot to put tools down. It’s easy to lose those smaller tools when you’re working in the garden.
My 1st thought was a harvesting bag! You can pick your hearts delight❤
Didn't anticipate all the feels and emotions that would hit me so hard in this video. 😢 Something about spring makes me so emotional, it's very healing! P.S. Your new hair looks adorable! You pull that off really well!
Love the new 'do! Cut my hair short this spring, too! We can be pixie sisters 🧚♀️🧚♀️
The raised flower bed is a great idea, but remember that you will need to be able to reach over it.
Your hair is SOOOOO cute! Very flattering on you. Now I'm cutting mine!
