If I remember correctly, Funimation bought the licence, they dubbed 3 episodes, after which they declared that the series "doesn't live up to Funimation's standards'" followed by the community's confused response of "Funimation has standards?" Basically, Funimation bought the licence and they are still sitting on it in spite of not releasing the dubbed version, which in practice means that they are paying to stop anyone from dubbing and distributing this series outside of Japan.
Well, funimation was bought by crunchyroll, and they were bought by Sony. Sony won't implement an 18+account login, and doesn't want to lose demonhunter kids if their parents saw they can watch anime bewbs.
