I saw them at the Roundhouse shortly after this, but arrived so late I was stuck at the back. Still totally awesome, played many of my favourite songs despite a shorter set. Can't wait for them to come back in 2024!
@@SimonSanders1 at the roundhouse as part of some festival (Pitchfork I think). They played just shy of an hour. Still the best hour I've had since I saw them back in 2020 so I can't complain!
@@kristinmeyer489Do you ever attend a concert when Janet Weiss was a member? She is amazingly powerful. The drumming here is solid, but not amazing, at least not compared to Weiss.
As a musician friend of mine said, "who is in the band is usually about who can leave town and go on the tour." Janet retains her Sleater-Kinney publishing rights, on tour or no.
The blonde girl singer slides along the E string and this seems to pass as a bass guitar for these gals. OK, if you like that type of thing. She sounds a little bit like Geddy Lee, vocally.
I saw SK in Glasgow, August 27. Loud, intense, superb. I was almost in tears halfway through their first song ("Hell") - it was so good.
I saw them at the Roundhouse 2 days later. They were intense, as they are here!! Makes me glad to be alive. well done the guy who recorded this.
Almost blew my left eardrum when 'Hell' kicked in...speaker stack was about a foot away!

They played a shorter set at the Roundhouse? Or here?

I JUST STOOD UP AND SHOUTED WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! AS LOUD AS I COULD...............
thanks so much for this! my dream gig come true
Seconded, so so grateful. Feels like they’re in my living room! Littlies like me get squashed at the front normally - you rock!
Thanks, Simon, for the upload and for time stamping, too.👍🥰💚🌱Excellent.
You’re welcome 😊
Very good performance. The drumming on the new songs is better live than on the studio versions, which is pleasantly surprising.
The drumming is amazing

@@alankoslowski9473 Will check it out. Thx

Well, say hello next time 😂
Thank you so much!! I was there and it was incredible!!!
Thank you for uploading ❤️ all day Long on my tv 😊
Thanks for sharing
My pleasure!
Bravo!!!
Sad I missed this!
I SEE THAT CARRIE HAS A RED GIBSON SG JUST LIKE THE ONE THAT SHE BROKE AND IS NOW IN THE PROTLAND OREGON HALL OF FAME!!!
This band will never be the same without Janet Weiss. They allowed one of the absolute best drummers in the game to go because of an ego/power trip.
How so?

Is that the drummer from the latest Built To Spill line up?
🖤
Why I keep hearing the bass guitar in the songs but I can’t see any bass player
The blonde girl singer slides along the E string and this seems to pass as a bass guitar for these gals. OK, if you like that type of thing. She sounds a little bit like Geddy Lee, vocally.
They tune both guitars down to c#. Corin sounds like a bass sometimes doing rhythm at that tuning.
..
Is it my imagination or do these girls never get any older?? They’re my age but they look the same as they did in the jumpers video!
