I’m 19, grown up in cave creek my whole life, worked in two of the restaurants in the video, so cool to see how little our towns changed. I hope it never does.
I lived in Sunnyslope in 55-57 and my grandfather lived with Grace Baker from 1955 until she got sick in 71 or 72, Who is Grace Baker? Grace Baker and her husband homesteaded 160 acres in 1905. If you stand in the center of Cave Creek their homestead was almost everything south and east you could see. When I lived there I would walk to their house up an old windy asphalt road from Sunnyslope, would give the donkey at a gas station on the way an ice cold Dr. Pepper. 60 years ago time does fly
Makes me want to go there really bad. These are my kind of people! The only thing conspicuously absent is the presence of its original inhabitants, most of whom now live on some ole res. They deserve to live on this land. Great doc. 🤠✌
That was fun to watch. I know Bart a bit and I know Dave Anderson a little bit more. I enjoy getting into Cave Creek from Camp Creek. Much more my vibe than Carefree.
