  • In this episode, I show you how I create a scenic background for the slot car track using a panoramic image and some computer graphics applications. There are many free and low cost apps out there to do this, and even old versions will work just fine. The key is finding the right image to suit your needs, and setting it up to be printed in a large format. Since few people have a large commercial type printer themselves, you'll have to find a print shop for the job, find a friend to hook you up, or possibly use a public source, like a local library. After the demo, I'll show you a new car I recently purchased and a surprise I got while testing.

Great video Mark. 8x2 is what im planning to do on the main wall to go under my screen for Smart race.
Id like to wrap it around the corner wall too but I'm worried that the 2 foot gap where ppl stand might make the scenery look out of place. Should I just keep wall scenery flush to the track?

I'm having a hard time picturing this - can you post a pic or sketch in Discord? What kind of scene are you looking to create?
