I love the music choice. Very inspiring. Edited to add: it's great that people were so nice. It just goes to show that we need to keep looking up and pushing ourselves instead of trying to push others around.
Well put! This hike really showed me when people have a common goal, they support each other. We all need to keep looking up. Thank you for the salient observation and thank you for watching. Keep Hikin'!
Well done sir! I’m 76 and I tried it last year in early June. The lower trail was very muddy from the Spring thaw and snow melt. That and the altitude forced me to turn around about half way.
Thank you. Yes, the altitude is a killer. Especially for someone who lives at only 700 feet above sea level. But, I stopped every 200 yards or so and took my time.
Did it the 1st time at 60. On the one hand it kind of cheeses you off getting passed by all these other people when you stop for a rest and they are just diddle-bopping along but then you think, "Oh yeah. I'm one of if not the oldest person on the mountain today and the dude that just passed me could be my grandson." Then it doesn't sting as much. 😊 I think "easy" is the wrong word because it's still tough as anything. Whenever I describe the 14rs I've done I go w/ "technical" instead of easy and there are no "easy" 14ers.
The easy came from what locals told me the night before in Georgetown. "It's the easiest 14er and the hardest 3 and a half miles you'll ever hike." Congrats on making it at the age of 60. And, thanks for watching.
Looks AMAZING

Climbed it at 76, third of fourth time.
I hope I can say the same some day!

No 14er is easy but Bierstadt is about as easy as a 14er gets. Did it this July(64 years old) with my son.
That’s why I did it first. Congrats on making the summit.
Good on ya! That's why I tried this one first. I've done a couple 13ers in the Bighorns since. Need to get back to CO soon.
