Erkenci Kus (English title: Early Bird) is a Turkish-made romantic comedy series by Gold Film.
Sanem (Demet Özdemir) is a girl who works in her father's grocery store and is loved by everyone. But her family tells her that she will marry if she can't find a job. Sanem starts working in an advertising agency to avoid getting married. But she doesn't know what awaits her in her new job. The manager of his company is the handsome, intelligent and cultured Can (Can Yaman). Since Sanem always manages to get into trouble, this situation attracts Can's attention and a great love story begins.

Im glad the Sanem came to the farm. Can you imagine her trying to recovery with her overbearing parents. She would have been back in hospital. Yes, parents do not ever want to see their child hurt but she is grown woman who needs to experience life. Theres a way of caring and looking after without smothering. When I first started watching this series I thought Sanem was a teenager just from how Mewkibe treated her.

She’s creative and lives outside of their understanding. They do try at times, but the hateful treatment of Can is uncalled for. Sanem was also to blame, but they made her a victim which made her unable to heal…..until she realized Can still loved her. Love heals. Hiding from your pain makes you a victim 😢
Agreed! The parents were very toxic, annoying, loud and never took accountability for their actions against both daughters relationship. They are blind to the fact that they contributed tremendoysly to their childrens unhappiness. Poor Emry can't even have his wife to himself! Jan and Sanem still have some difficulty getting some private time after a whole year. Look how the parents are treating without knowing all the facts. Thanks to Aziz who has to tell the group to let them be a couple of times so they can sort things out between them.

I get all mushy inside when Sanem calls Can Naughty!! She’s so sweet and so in love and when they are this , it’s love in its best and truest form!! The thought of Mevkibe and Huma interfering again breaks my heart!! You would have to be blind not to see the love and commitment there from them both!! I must say though that many outfits were rather skimpy and revealing, especially in the office environment.
i realise, as sanem is setting the table for breakfast, she's talking to her inner voice. she acknowledges that can was totally right about yighit.
She does give him credit, finally after all that chaos he caused.

Yes and seeing how happy she was and knowing damn well that can is a good guy and loves her so very much their behaviour was so so out of line and Nihat actually made me so angry and cross the way he behaved by going in his room and then being so awful using emotional blackmail to try to keep her close! Knowing that Mevkibe and Nihat had and still have their problems with Mevkibes dad they should have known better! Both of the, cause the later tragedy in a way and who pays for it ? - Sanem and Can yet again bless them! They should have been off living their lives not arguing and trying to please parents who can’t let their kids grow up!you have to be close you must t go far😡 in this last face time telling Can to take her home because she will get a cold etc -ffs!! her parents angered me so, that i had to skip their parts after can left for a year. rather than observe her return to health, they insisted she stay mentally unstable, when any fool could see her blossom and glow once can came back and they sorted out all of their nonsense...i admired sanem so much when can offered to cancel the trip and she said no, she remembered what happened the last time......that he should plot the course, and she would find a way for them to leave happily.....nihat and mevkibe ---- shame on you both.

Totally agree with you in everything you’re saying! My reactions too, every time I see EK. Yigit is pure evil and it also irritates me that Huma also got away with what she did. The way she was "embarrassed" by this (in my opinion) ridiculous scammer wasn’t punishing enough, for all that she did to them. Sanem’s parents are very unfair against Can, he shouldn't get the whole blame in what happened between the two of them, because Sanem isn't flawless...!

Yes I do feel he got away with so much- the deceit, the schemes and the controlling behaviour telling Sanem what to do and where her attention should be, the fact that he pretended to be gravely injured and permanently damaged from he incident with Can and taking every single opportunity to bring it up and slate him, then he got away with corporate espionage by the fraudulently made creams and his informant on the subject and help and manipulated issues with fake allergies etc, that was an arrest able offence with jail time probably yet he just moved away and paid her off essentially. Should have come to light about Humas part in all the schemes too even if they found a way to let her repent and find a way to make things right with Sanem for her horrible behaviour and a way for her to make it right with Can! We can see how alike Aziz and Can are now and how Emre living with his Mother made him more manipulative in the beginning and more able to be manipulated by Huma most of the time when Can was blunt and showed her he wasn’t falling for her dramatics and bull crap!! Fabulous series! So glad Yigit is gone he made my skin crawl!!

You have to see it from their point of view, he left and it shattered their daughters mind, needing therapy and medication. If they didn't have worries about this, that would bad parenting.
Yes in tersm of the parents. It is really bad writing and storytelling. Yes they can be concerned about their daughter's well-being but they also have to let her live her life as she sees fit. If they know their daughter well, they know that she had her part to play in their break up too. The writers should have closed that storyline with Sanem telling their parents that Can was right about Yighit all along and continuously protected her against every effort Yighit made to destroy what and whom she loved. The fact that the writers did not close that storyline now lets people think that this kind of toxic meddling should be equated with parental love. It is a really dangerous message to send to people that children cannot make their own mistakes and live their own lives.

It feels like we missed an episode - which we'd really want to see! How did they go from Sanem kissing Can in 146 and acting coy about it in 147 and then suddenly in this one Can says "...since I love you so much..." and she hardly bats an eyelid, like of course he does, but they never talked about being in love again. They just suddenly are together. It's a gorgeous couple scenes at the start of this one where they're cozying up outside but it just seems like agreed to be together again without us seeing how it happened.
the pieces of can and sanem slowly came together.....
the scene in the parking lot where sanem says she trusts can....so important to him.
where sanem says promise me you'll never leave me and can says i am with you always, what more

then, she opens the cage for the albatross, can, to be free....she buys the boat and returns it to can.

there was never a doubt about the forever love. it's stated repeatedly throughout the series.
After the debacle with the Art Textile people, Aziz sort of outs Sanem and Can, admitting that they are in love again and that that was the only goal Aziz really had.
