Georgia played a great game defensively. Texas had chances and failed to execute. The biggest difference was the 3 turnover that led to 17 first half points for Georgia. Texas held Georgia to less than 300 yards. The Texas offense was terrible but that had a lot to do with now well Georgia played on defense. Hopefully, Texas can right the ship and set up a rematch in Atlanta.
Look where the Texas offense turnovers occurred so close to their goal lines. Our defense was placed in horrible field positions and did a very good job.
That game had me low and high all night. Even being down 23-0 I never thought to myself " Man it's over. I just said we need to score a touchdown and pump up the defense and it worked in the 3rd quarter. People are gon have different opinions on how they think the game went. Blah blah blah. I was so pumped when it was 23-15 and Georgia faced 3rd and 9 then Carson completed a first down. I think that killed our chances even though I never felt we were out of it until Carson ran for the first down with about 6 minutes left. So many things went wrong. Even though turnovers were even we didn't do nothing with them. They scored on a short field off our turnovers. I thought we should've kicked a field goal on one possession. Ewers had no time to throw. That's due to Georgia pushing our offensive line around for most of the night. Carson had all night to throw. It probably would've been worse but Georgia wide receivers don't know how to catch😅. This was a good test for us. I like it.. The only thing I don't like is we didn't really leave people with nothing to think about. Like if we had lost 30-28 on a last second touchdown or field goal. We got whooped pretty much from start to finish even though we shut Georgia out in the 3rd. We didn't play 4 quarters. Now I gotta hear how Texas ain't ready for the SEC 😅. We just ran into a motivated Georgia team. Now if every team we got left on our schedule play like Georgia then we in for a long season .Until then. HOOKEM 🤘
Georgia out classed us , out coached us and was way more physical. I think we bought into the “demise” of Georgia talk. Defensively, it’s hard to continue to keep Georgia out of the end zone when they had short fields for a lot of their drives. It’s true that we really haven’t played anyone but I do feel we are much better than we showed. Hopefully we’ll eat this humble pie and be better for it. Hookem 🤘
Quinn Ewers is not a downfield threat so when you're playing within 30 yards it's easy to shut down an offense I don't give a damn how good you are. Arch Manning would have been a much better option in this game because we have excellent receiver's that are serious downfield threats and Arch can make those down-field passes where Quinn cannot if you cannot spread the field you're not winning
Quinn Ewers scared to step into his throws knowing he’s gonna get hit as well as not stepping up in the pocket. Also, there were many times where he wouldn’t go through his progressions and then he’d just dump it off for a check down. Georgia is too damn fast for that
I think Sark pulling him was bs. The problems on offense were not all on him, yet another example of Sark scripting too many plays instead of adapting to what the defense shows you. He is always too late to adapt, Washington game and this one are perfect examples.
Taking quinn out the game essentially BLAMED him for all the team's mistakes up to that point!! Play calling was a clear problem and they shedded the blame by reaching for the back up to accomplish nothing
Lets face it, Texas is not a #1 caliber team. Ewers is not a heisman caliber QB. O Line needs to get bigger and stronger- they were man handled. TX. didnt learn from last year playoff experience and neither did Texas fans(what an embarassment). Yes, the refs sucked and their should have been no question about the offensive PI but what some of the longhorn fans did was just pathetic. Personally, this is on the Texas coaching staff, they werent prepared for the bulldogs. They werent ready to deal with Georgia's defensive schemes. The Oline just didnt execute. Its not all on Ewer's or Manning. Georgia sucker punched Texas all game, dirty or not and Texas just didnt create an answer. Forget the analyst from ESPN. Forget Herbstreit, Finebaum, Shayshay, College game day, etc. They all picked Texas for an elevated gambling spread, to bring income to ESPN. Mich.and Okl. are not quality wins compared to Georgia. Tx should have never been favored against a SEC powerhouse, at least not Ga. Not this year. Questionable officiating integrity is not limited to the WNBA. Too little or not enough target calls, too little or not enough PI calls, subjectivity of timeliness of penalty reviews is getting ridiculous. The new college football, coaching ethics and officiating integrity at its best.
Texas fan. That's what I'm saying. You have Patrick Mahones back there and if you can't protect the quarterback it's gon be a long day. Georgia offense wasn't a big deal mainly because their receivers can't catch😅. It was there capitalizing on our turnovers. As far as yards go it was pretty even. We had some good moments. More bad than good though. If you don't get tougher after playing Georgia then you won't get very far. Growing pains. That's all it is. 🤘
You had PLENTY of targeting calls. Yes there was QUESTIONABLE officiating but it ALL went Texas way. They got exactly what they deserved. They were not tough and not ready. Call it any way you want, they got their butts whipped.
Ewers going to take a ton of criticism here, but Arch did the same thing. And would have. The snapshot of them looking defeated on the sideline after Arch fumbled speaks volumes. The dawgs were just better. Texas wasnt prepared for being out talented, out matched, and out prepared. This is what happens when you gain traction beating up on lesser competition while pointing fingers at Bama and Georgia for losing.
@@njrm98 I'm gonna have to agree but disagree at the same time, talent wise Texas is good but this is the SEC. Look at the size difference between Texas and Georgia. We're not big enough on the offensive line to compete with Georgia.
My aunt is a Vandy grad and she doesn't even pay much attention to sports, but she told me Friday evening that she'd be pulling for Georgia because nobody gets to come into the SEC and just run the place.
Why is because quinn didnt step up when needed. And didnt hit open throws. The D held good considering the positions they got put in. QUINN was terrible had 2 tds to wingo and over or under threw it. Thats 12 points there and changes things. They had drop passes to but if quinn makes plays those plays dont happen and the game changes. Quinn is last in sec on deep balls. Hes terrible anything over 10 yards.
Yes the OLine could not stack up against Georgia defense line and Arch manning quick legs probably helped them but still a quick fix but they still need to address several other issues.
Quinn never has been the #1 5 Star he was billed as. He is a very limited player who excels at a few things but does not have elite playmaking ability. I've never been sold on him as a guy who can win a championship unless the blocking/running /playcalling all go as planned.
I dont think Texas was ready for how FAST Georgia's defence was playing. There was an amazing camera shot near the end of the first half of Ewers and Manning sitting next to each other on the bench, both looking comepletely shell-shocked. Said it all, at least to me
Ewers is only effective under perfect conditions. He’s awful when faced with any adversity. He gives up on plays and is just not very competitive; he’s not a gamer!!!
He can't win the big game he couldn't win against TCU he lost the Washington twice he lost to George's yesterday and he's going to lose the Texas A&M later in the year
My main red flag was that Stark kept on calling slow developing plays when Georgia was out numbering the protection. Ewers had receivers running wide open and had time, but when playing out of structure too long. He started hearing footsteps instead of going through his progression. If Stark doesnt counter the blitz's with hot routes or play designs away from pressure. This is the Ewers we are going to keep getting against great competition. The OC and Stark have to hold this L. Both defenses showed out, but only one offense showed up.
Several reasons. 1. Our offensive line got whipped up on. You cannot say any clear than that. 2. Quinn played scared. There were so many opportunities in the first half, I’m actually looking forward (but also totally dreading) re-watching the film. He was jumpy, and, didn’t ever really get settled in (part of that was a Georgia secondary that clearly played their best game all year). He’s not playing like the Quinn in the Michigan game or the Alabama game of last year, or even the Oklahoma game from two years before that. 3. We miss Baxter in a major way. We have very good running backs, but the running backs that we have only really work if there’s a big, bruising, running back to soften up the defense. I don’t think we realized how much we missed CB until now. 4. Give it up for Georgia, they had their best game of the season, they were primed and ready to play, they played fast, strong, and were well coached. If you’re gonna play a team like that, you gotta play your best, and Texas played about a D+ to sea level performance. we are a lot better than we played, but we got beaten by the better team. The crazy thing to me is even though we played like shit, 10 minutes ago on the fourth quarter. We were absolutely still in the game.

@WhitneyGadison1 it is when texas hasn't played a top 5 opponent during the season in years. The fact texas had to play uga at all is a welcome to the sec moment.
@@jacobbowers5557 real Texas fans knew the sec still runs through teams such as bama and Georgia. Those were the bandwagon fans saying that. I called this, I’ve said numerous time, if Texas plays like the way they did against Oklahoma, they will definitely lose to Georgia and look what happened. I knew Georgia was still a great team but they just seem to shit the bed when it comes to Georgia. Did I think Texas was going to win? Ofc, it’s my team but I knew we weren’t going to win if we played like we did against Georgia. If you are a Georgia fan, congrats on the win, yall played extremely well defensively. I hope this is a rematch if both teams continue to win out
Even before the game the pundits were saying the key to beating Texas was getting pressure on the QB. That is easier said than done. Georgia is an elite defense and while other teams can watch that film to see how to do it but duplicating that outcome requires an equivalent level of defensive talent. It wasn't just that they were getting pressure, the DBs had the receivers locked down. No many teams can do both?
What went wrong? You finally ran into a defense... seriously thats it, Ewers and Manning could not deal with the pressure... It was 23-0 at the half and if Kirby had not made some questionable calls, like the squib kick and a couple INTs to keep Texas in the game, it could have easily ended 50-0
Perhaps Texas just listened to their hype too much. The SEC gets top TV money and time slots for games because it is the conference where the Big DAWGS play. Texas just hadn't played any other teams of that level. Get used to it...Texas, your season is not over yet.
They didn't "swing their sword" because the OL came out not ready to play a super physical game. They got punched in the mouth and in the process it affected Quinn which led to Sark modifying his playcalling to try and settle things down. Basically it didn't look like Texas did anything they planned outside of the first 10 plays of the script because Georgia was winning all the matchups on the line and on the boundaries. After halftime, the offense started looking like Texas but Quinn was rattled by then and couldn't quite pull off plays when the moments presented themselves. It's a barometer game and clearly Texas needs to raise their level another notch to compete for the championship at the end. This will be good for them.
Texas played nobody all year. No good offenses no good defenses. They finally played one and lost. To think people thought they would be Georgia is insane
I wonder this, if Arch had taken all 1st team snaps for the last 3 weeks would those 1st drives been more successful? Quinn’s inability to make off-schedule run plays killed our 3rd down percentage.
This happens every time Texas gets hyped too much and the confidence is running high. Me and most of my friends as Texas fans knew that Texas hadn't played anybody decent yet (including Michigan) and they were overhyped and overratted. It also seemed obvious that Georgia's players were much bigger (and more aggressive) than Texas which is usually the case. No problem with them putting Manning in at all because Ewers was like a statue back there and since the line wasn't blocking we needed someone with a little more mobility back there. Also, it seemed to wake Ewers up and he started playing better when he got back in there.
I think the ref who called the weird PI meant to call it as offensive PI, but the head ump announced it (wrongly) as defensive PI. It very much looked to me that the Georgia receiver pushed the Texas defender away while the ball was in the air (a fairly clear offensive PI infraction). Had it been correctly called, the game might well have ended very differently.
I think what worries me as a UGA fan is that assuming Texas comes to the SEC championship they are going to be an absolute unit now that they know what they are doing wrong
I once respected JD, this is crap! They didn’t take take chances down field because the Dawgs defense was all over him. Sounds like excuses! It doesn’t matter what you would have liked to see Texas, the Dawgs wouldn’t let them do anything! JD you need to find another job! Done with you!
It’s funny how Georgia got beat and people said that they were weak, ohio state got beat and they are weak, Texas gets beat and again they are weak. Texas just got to the sec. They still are a big dog in the sec. They have never played Georgia before. They will be better next time just like Georgia and ohio state. Texas will be fine!!!!Its just 1 game!! Also 1 loss sometimes places you back focused. Again Texas will be fine.
Texas wasnt the number 1 team they havent been tested until last night Texas line will get eaten up by A&M Defense o line.Still think they will play A&M in Atlanta for the Sec Championship.
Sounds like you’re a Ewers fan which is a small club. Yes he got sacked but also has terrible pocket awareness. Arch threw 5 touchdown passes against a tough team tooo. Sark has said if you’re a senior you start; hence Ewers.
At the end of the day, you can only play the teams in front of you. Texas handled the teams they were supposed to. UGA saved their best for Texas and proved they are that team after not putting it on film. Also, Ewers looks like he’s scared to death to get hit. Doesn’t step into throws and self sacking himself 🤦♂️
But we are at a point in the season we can say whether their previous wins were as relevant as we thought they were. Yes they beat a Michigan team who is now 4-3, Mississippi State who is now 1-6, and Oklahoma who is now 4-3. Frankly, Texas hasn't played anybody until yesterday.
Georgia's defense was impressive, the speed and tempo had the Longhorns on their back foot from the start. Ewers and the O-line play looked bad, they looked in over their heads with the Georgia front 7. Longhorns Defense was equally impressive. Longhorns now know what level they need to be at to be a threat. I don't know if Ewers has the talent to lead this team to a National Championship, he's not looked good outside of the pocket, has shown sloppy footwork and questionable arm strength. Manning isn't mature enough or seasoned enough to lead the team and I don't think it's fair to throw him into the fire just yet.
I get where you’re coming from on the QB situation but I can see reasons to make that swap also. The d line had his #, clearly knew where he would go if the pocket starts to collapse. All credit to Georgia here they played an incredible 1st half. By changing QB briefly it’s throwing a monkey wrench in that planning. Then when QE comes back the Georgia line just reverts. Yes & No, in the heat of the play those new patterns of Arch’s will carry more weight for the quick reacting subconscious. Effectively doubling the info the brain must process. It did seem to help. The super-human unrelenting pressure of the 1st half went back closer to what one would expect when 2 exceptional teams meet. Don’t know if Sarc did it for this reason but the 2nd half Texas still got outplayed but there were times when them turning it around was something one could imagine unlike the first half where it seemed more like a Cowboys playoff game…I say that as a lifelong Dallas/UT football fan so yeah it’s painful. Congrats Georgia! You absolutely earned it. In conclusion HOOK EM!
The past 2 games since Ewers has been back most of his completed passes have been for no more than 7 yards. That OU game was terrible for Ewers. He seems very off.
You gotta play more than one tough game a season in the SEC,Everyone saying Texas is #1 because they beat Oklahoma?Oklahoma ain’t even a real SEC team Texas and Oklahoma are probably begging to go back to their conference😂🤣
Texas ran into a buzz saw is all it was. They are a great team with one of the best coaching staffs in CFB. Nobody was scoring much on that Defense last night.
Real simple. The Dawgs dominated us in the trenches. Plus they created massive confusion for our QBs. Third, the disruption they created lead to a lot of short fields for Georgia. Just tip your hat to Georgia. They played an amazing game executing their game plan perfectly. 👏👏👏 Texas has a lot to learn from in the game tape review.
Texas gives UGA ball on UT 13: 0-7 UGA Texas gives UGA ball on UT 28: 0-10 UGA Texas gives UGA ball on UT 34: 0-17 UGA Texas gives UGA ball on UT 30: 0-23 UGA 20 points off of 64 yards of offense, that is where we lost. Only 10 points came from them actually driving the ball. Texas will be better from this loss. The defense was championship caliber and the score doesn’t paint the whole picture. The offense just has to regroup and step it going forward. UGA has won 44-45 regular season games. They are bad ass and I hope my horns get another chance to play them this year
If Texas is smart, they will do what Michigan did after we crushed their hopes and dreams in the Orange Bowl-use it and build. It made Michigan tougher and they could see the competition level in the SEC was clearly higher. The rest is history.
Georgia was the more dominant team last night, yall can say what you want but an off game with great defense is okay. It sucks but they gotta do better, see yall in the Sec championship 🤘
I hope Texas sees them again as well. But, before they get there. There's a lot of cleaning up to do. Sark should harp on they're 0-0 wins/losses going forward.
Did we really know how good Texas is? No, we didn't! They haven't played anybody. They have the weakest schedule in the SEC. They finally play someone good, and look what happened.
@Educated2Extinction Texas has not played anyone other than Georgia. All the teams they beat are terrible. And they're remaining schedule is weak too
Exactly! I'm a Longhorn, and I've been saying this all along. Quinn is also not an elite quarterback since he is not athletic or strong and can't throw on the run. Texas needs a true dual-threat quarterback with a porous offensive line against an elite defensive front like Georgia.
The TLDR - Georgia's defense is WAY better than the Longhorn offense, even thought the Longhorn dwfense might be as good or maybe better than the Georgia offense. Longhorns are very good. They are not great yet.
Texas got a big welcome to the SEC, punched in the face, now let’s see how they respond! Defense looked pretty good, the offense looked slow, and out manned! It’s only going to get tougher! Horns up!

HOOKEM 🤘
They ain’t going to Atlanta.
Mykel Williams and Jalon Walker are what went wrong for Texas .
Quinn Ewers scared to step into his throws knowing he’s gonna get hit as well as not stepping up in the pocket. Also, there were many times where he wouldn’t go through his progressions and then he’d just dump it off for a check down. Georgia is too damn fast for that
Georgia just played football. Welcome to the SEC!
Every sec team has Georgia's defense?
He's not heisman level because he doesn't make great throws that often. He is good though
It doesn't matter who the QB is if the line ain't blocking 🤷🏾
@@cfly87 Sark needs to recruit better. Banks is not the guy to be playing tackle he's to small
I agree to an extent, But Arch did not take any of the 1st team snaps for the last 3 weeks and by product would have a better command of the playbook.
@@Pyschedelicfunk Sark and Texas recruit exceptionally well. Look at their previous classes. Talent isn't the issue here. Can't win em all
@@njrm98 I'm gonna have to agree but disagree at the same time, talent wise Texas is good but this is the SEC. Look at the size difference between Texas and Georgia. We're not big enough on the offensive line to compete with Georgia.
Why? Easy answer, Sark will always get out-coached in big games.
"Why didn't Texas go for the juggler" 😂 ?
Maybe because they never got near George's throat.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I once respected JD, this is crap! They didn’t take take chances down field because the Dawgs defense was all over him. Sounds like excuses!

Georgias defense happened.
Quinn never does, its just who he is! He is not clutch or a big game gamer, never has been and never will be.
Georgia's d-line was insane this game. Ewer's and Manning had no time b/c of the piss poor play by a veteran o-line 🤘
Georgia’s defensive front dominated our o-line most of the game. The momentum swing in the 2nd half had us hopeful for a comeback but wasn’t enough.
He can't win the big game he couldn't win against TCU he lost the Washington twice he lost to George's yesterday and he's going to lose the Texas A&M later in the year
@@RandySmith-jk3pdhe literally beat Alabama
Yea, if the play collapses. He doenst have the skill to improvise and make it happen still.
JD just give Georgia the credit they deserve
Very good summary of the game. It’s the SEC this year.
Why isn’t there a Georgia helmet on your desk , I get your focus was on Texas in this broadcast, but it felt strange.
Can't believe in saying this, but yall better not overlook Vandy.
Agree. I am very curious abt that one!
Texas should not overlook anyone.
@@jeromes5183 Them DAWGS are just big BULLIES they showed out!
We didn’t stand a chance!🤬😡😡🤬 I’m ANGRY!!!!! They could’ve gave us a better chance at winning at least!
But NOOOO they served HUMBLE PIE!
I love how everybody is acting like Texas lost how everybody expected them to, you all said they played weak offenses and their defense is gonna get picked apart by Beck, that’s all dead. Texas’ defense is the best in the country. Our O line got blown up point blank period! Georgia D came to play
All yall Networks doubted my Dawgs!!! Keep betting against us...fatal mistake.
This is just the second game of the season where Georgia has beaten the spread. They earned being bet against, but they finally stepped up.
We don’t give a crap about a spread brother. We leave that to Vegas…..at the end of the day….just win baby…just win!!
about 68% of bets were on georgia
@@travismorris4306 A lot of people did doubt Georgia. I guess in a way I did too. I mean y'all weren't playing like Georgia. Y'all just seemed more motivated because of the doubt. We didn't really have anything to lose because we were playing great. Maybe we were overconfident. I don't know. Y'all defense showed out. @WhitneyGadison1 it is when texas hasn't played a top 5 opponent during the season in years. The fact texas had to play uga at all is a welcome to the sec moment.
@@WhitneyGadison1it is when you show up to the party thinking you own the place
Go Dawgs!
So how do you derive that TX can still win the SEC? That statement is absolutely ridiculous. Are the Dawgs leaving the SEC?
Don’t be shocked its UGA kicking some butt
Georgia better than Texas period. Georgia best team in the sec. The rest of the sec doesn't look good
The results of the Texas/Georgia game gives me optimism for Thanksgiving.
JD Pickle made a 5 minute video of making excuses on why the Horns got Skull Drugg...SMH
Sark’s gonna need a drink after this one…..
I think he helped Scholz's close up at 2am
Georgia looked like a big solid NFL team. Texas looked like a college team. Totally a different phisically talented team. Men vs boys
Really??? How often do you say the number 7 but meant to say 11???? Those are the jersey numbers by the way.
I think what worries me as a UGA fan is that assuming Texas comes to the SEC championship they are going to be an absolute unit now that they know what they are doing wrong
texas finally played someone, got street cred beating up terrible teams
I once respected JD, this is crap! They didn’t take take chances down field because the Dawgs defense was all over him. Sounds like excuses! It doesn’t matter what you would have liked to see Texas, the Dawgs wouldn’t let them do anything! JD you need to find another job! Done with you!
They played a real sec team and they weren't ready as simple as that
This is year of underdogs
I would’ve been starting manning last year…
It’s funny how Georgia got beat and people said that they were weak, ohio state got beat and they are weak, Texas gets beat and again they are weak. Texas just got to the sec. They still are a big dog in the sec. They have never played Georgia before. They will be better next time just like Georgia and ohio state. Texas will be fine!!!!Its just 1 game!! Also 1 loss sometimes places you back focused. Again Texas will be fine.
JD, I don’t know who you are, I now know how little you know. No excuses, GA whipped Texas butt.
Shoulda coulda woulda Texas
Remember, the Texas defense had to start 4 series from their own 30 yard line in. They were behind the 8 ball a lot.
Texas wasnt the number 1 team they havent been tested until last night Texas line will get eaten up by A&M Defense o line.Still think they will play A&M in Atlanta for the Sec Championship.
Ewers is no good.......
Sounds like you’re a Ewers fan which is a small club. Yes he got sacked but also has terrible pocket awareness. Arch threw 5 touchdown passes against a tough team tooo. Sark has said if you’re a senior you start; hence Ewers.
Why? Because Georgia is the better team Kirby is the best coach! Everyone doubted us and Texas is still just a good big12 team not a good sec team!
Texas needs to recruit a bigger RB too. Like 5'11 225 or 6'0 245
Georgia's defense was impressive, the speed and tempo had the Longhorns on their back foot from the start.
Thanks to world saying my dawgs ain’t got a chance it should’ve been does Texas have a chance
Was waiting for Texas to go more 12 personnel and keep them outside the tackles to help them out, but he never did it.
Texas has a lot to learn from in the game tape review.
Offense never settled never took advantage of turnovers incredible credit to GA but Texas was not prepared for that D Line.

20 points off of 64 yards of offense, that is where we lost. Only 10 points came from them actually driving the ball.
Texas will be better from this loss. The defense was championship caliber and the score doesn’t paint the whole picture. The offense just has to regroup and step it going forward.
UGA has won 44-45 regular season games. They are bad ass and I hope my horns get another chance to play them this year
In the SEC the game is won at the line of scrimmage first especially in big games. Don’t need to look anywhere past that. Poor knowledge
If Texas is smart, they will do what Michigan did after we crushed their hopes and dreams in the Orange Bowl-use it and build. It made Michigan tougher and they could see the competition level in the SEC was clearly higher. The rest is history.
