Now consider this last movie. From Ankh's p.o.v. it happened immdeiately after the end of the main series and before the previous movie. So during the previous movie, Ankh was seeing Eiji after (SPOILER WARNING) Eiji's death. Ankh was seeing his dead friend one last time knowing he couldn't do anything to save his life.

Although, IF another OOOs special happens in the same universe, I'd have a feeling it would be a short series where Ankh becomes Kamen Rider Ankh with the TaJaDol Eternity combo and goes around helping in Eiji's stead while looking for a way to bring him back. And I suppose at the tail end of it he'll come across Eiji, but from sometime in the future or in a different universe, who will give him hope that they can meet again or remind him that they will always be together.
I'm sorry, but this movie upset me greatly. Eiji remains my all time favorite rider, but to kill him off before the movie even starts is messed up. Then to "bring him back" by having Ankh possess the body was a weird choice in my opinion... This wasn't the OOO 10 year anniversary movie I had hoped for, it was a modern toku mess. All I want to see is Eiji cracking a huge smile alongside a revived Ankh and hearing those horns start to blare after he transforms for the final time. Eiji was done dirty by this movie...
