No pir installed? Always on? I'm gonna build but not seeing easy to fit the pir in a slim frame.. I like idea of Spotify or playing from Google assistant but gonna need a better speaker..
ZeNex74 I would definitely build a frame that incorporated a speaker. I now use an Amazon Dot as a speaker connected via Bluetooth and that seems to do the trick without any extra work. PIR sensor is a great idea too, but I’ve found IFTTT is another solution for turning the monitor off at night/while at work, though the PIR is probably more efficient day to day. Good luck on your build!
@@bcotter I was also looking for PIR sensor and then thought of using cronjob to sleep monitor/display at times I am not around but IFTTT also seems to be a good choice! :) Btw, your videos are great inspiration for anyone looking of Magic Mirror.
Hello I was installing magicmirror on pi But there was an error it showed unable to download the dependencies please help me to solve this problem in very need of this I have my review in college so please What happened to that module
Hey! Great Video! I have a question. I cannot get the music to play on my Magic Mirror, and I don't see an option to do that from my Spotify app. I am using a Raspberry Pi 3 connected via HDMIv with a Bluetooth dongle that connects to my iPhone right away. I can see the song playing on my Magic Mirror but the audio playback is on my iPhone. Any ideas?!!!
The onboard soundcard on the RPi is tricky. I had the same problem, but was able to solve it by using the ROCCAT Juke (usb soundcard). Hope that helps!
*Hey I just Love your work !* In video you configure youtube to play video in MMM-assistent soThere is one problem... When I play video streaming from youtube then it would play means its working but the problem is I cannot stop the video 😐 Google assistant didnot listen anything, video going bang on. Only mouse double click stop that thing. *I want that when video playing and after some time when I would say ok google/smart mirror the assistant stop the video and back to that MagicMirror screen.* *So please Help me out by edit the code.* *Thank you !*
Closing time was one of my favorite songs, I still have to make a magic mirror, thanks for the inspiration
Yeah, the Mirrors are such great projects! Good luck!
Selling my magic mirror for $400 , it has relays and home automation in it. As well as a website hosted on it to control your home appliances
Yep, thanks for the inspiration! I have started to make a individual magic mirror with around 40' tv haha
Is there any module for playing youtube directly from smart mirror without casting from our mobille.
Yes, try MMM-ScreenCast. Lets you use your MM as a Chromecast essentially. Video window not visible until you cast.
Hey I’m curious if I can do a smart mirror with the raspberry pi 3 and 4. Is there any difference

@@VikasSharmaUSA I've never used cronjob, but I'd love to hear if it works! Thanks so much for your kind words and thank you for watching!
Такой же ролик ... с умным зеркалом) Smart mirror!) Есть ли видео, в котором описывается само программирование Raspberry pi for smart mirror ?
How did you configure the remote module? Whenever I run the mirror I get: ip-of-your-mirror:8080/remote.html
What are you using for the remote?

Brian Cotter Ah! Makes sense, I’ll pick one of those up. Thanks!
Brian Cotter actually, I have a question. Once I get the sound card, what’s the best way to set this up?

Is there any modules for SoundCloud?
I haven't seen a completed module for SoundCloud, but you could likely use Mopidy (www.mopidy.com/) and build a module that way.
Thank you!!
