I watch this nest cam and then look at the one they have going today. There are 3 birds in it. However, unlike this one, the 2 oldest are males and the #3 female. Right now, at about the same age as this group, #3 is nearly as big as his older brother #2. She is huge. Yet, here, #3 is so small he looks as if he just hatched. The book on eagles says in a nest of 3, and the oldest is a female, #3s seldom survive more than a few days 'unless they're fortunate and 'lucky''. In that nest, #3 is both. She is aggressive, often running #2 off the feed and even attacking him now and then. #1 gets the first feed, but often is content to share with #3, even #2. He is very passive. But #3 is a very lucky bird. In this nest, she would have had a hard time with the #1 here, who was hyper aggressive towards 2 & 3. The day before he died, she attacked #3 viciously, tearing at his neck, eyes and tongue. #3 was mortally wounded and died from that. I think #3 here lasted about 3 more days, died, and then was eaten, with #1 getting most of his remains. Many people were secretly wishing she'd get the ultimate dose of karma and choke on his leg bone, skinny as it was. Yet, today, the #3 in the nest with 2 male older brothers is thriving and stands a chance to take over the nest as she grows, soon to a point when she is bigger than them both.
Older sister and its younger brother. And no she didn't kill him he died of starvation. Good riddance as it had deformed feet and wings was taking up nest space and food from 2 healthier ones
QUE ALEGRIA ME DA VER QUE EL PEQUEÑO ALGO LOGRA COMER.
I didn't watch eagle nests in 2016, I'm glad I didn't have to see this.
The life of the weaker chicken is in serious danger. His siblings may kill him‼️
