Hi! This was an excellent tutorial! When some of the parts confused me you never failed to explain anything I was missing in the video! The bracelet turned out great! Thank you!
Loved this tutorial so much. Very well done and understandable. Excellent! On my second one, I threaded 1.5mm leather through the center to make a button and loop closure. I love the combo of beads and leather. It also gave the bracelet more body.
Hello , Today I came across this video and watched how this stitch project was done. I’ve been shying away from doing anything tubular until I watched your awesome teaching. I took on the the tutorial and loved it. This helps my beading confidence which I greatly appreciate. Thank you for all your tutorials
Thank you Nan Stanton - that' some of the best feedback to read!! Many people shy away from seed bead projects - myself included in the beginning - because they sometimes look a little too complicated! BUT when you know where to start - the stitches themselves are really repetitive - and suddenly making something that looks quite difficult, becomes fairly easy! Keep beading and keep well...x

Hi Jo, I absolutely love your tutorials! I'm newer to beading and have learned to bead with your videos. You take the time explaining and don't go too fast. I love the bracelet your wearing!! Do you have a tutorial on that? Just finished making new stitch. It came out awesome. Thank you for all you do and sharing!!
Hi Heidi - I'm sooooooooo sorry for my delayed response - for some reason your comment has been hidden until now! I LOVE hearing how everyone is progressing with their beading and I'm so pleased that you're finding my tutorials helpful! The bracelet that I'm wearing is actually a PDF pattern which is available in my Etsy shop. I'll pop the link below in case you feel like taking a closer look! x www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JoBarclayLoggie
Thanks and i'm love it ! But when I'm done I can't make a circle, some places will be flat and not round😭 I don't quite understand when the stitches need to be tightened or loosened
You'll get a neater finish using all the same sized beads but adding in a different size will add texture to your design. Give it a go - bead up a small section and see if it works for you...x
I love the colours too! The bracelet I'm wearing is a PDF tutorial available on my Etsy site and you can find it using the following link: www.etsy.com/uk/listing/706781379/a-stormduo-and-wibeduo-bracelet-cuff?ref=shop_home_active_4&crt=1 xx
I’m so sorry Yvette... I’m not up to speed on shops in the US ( I’m in the UK) but Potomac (website) would have everything that you need....6lb Fireline and Size 12 beading needles...x
As I mentioned in one of earlier comments to you...I find toggle clasps the easiest to do up and undo again at the end of the day - especially if you done have someone to help you! x
Hi Kalene...I don't know the exact number and of course it would depend on the length of your bracelet....but I used about a quarter of a tube of each....around 5-6 grams of beads...x
As I mentioned above - I couldn't possibly sit and count the number of beads I used but if you fo by the gram weight I gave you - that's what I sued to make a 7 inch bracelet....so you'll need to increase this a little to make 7.5 inches. So, in other words, if you have a third of each tube available, you should be able to make it...x
Hi...So in the intro I show a couple of bracelets and there is one that is pink/salmon, white/ivory and bronze...or there's one that's pink, purple and blue...Hope that helps! x
Hi Julie....sorry you're confused - that's never my intention! The pattern for twisted tubular herringbone is "Down 2 Up through 1". If you did the at the end of the row - you wouldn't be exiting the correct bead at the top of your beaded rope in order to continue. You'd be exiting 1 bead below where you should be - so your final step in a round is not "down 2 , up 1" but "down 2, up 2" in order to be in the right place to start your next round....therefore it is known as a "stepping up" (The coming up through 2 beads to get to the outermost edge of your beadwork). Not sure that I've made things any clearer for you - this is when I miss face to face workshops where it's so much easier to talk through something whilst showing it. Hope I've made a bit of sense...x
I would love to follow you. The problem is I can barely hear you. I have the volume turned up as loud as it will go, but unfortunately your words get muddled and I cannot understand what you are saying. Yes I can turn off the sound and follow along, but I would miss points you are trying to pass along. I'm sorry.
Every now and then someone says the sound is too low and every time I check it, I think it's too loud!! lol!! Sorry you're having issues with the sound during the demos, but I don't think there's anything else I can do and as it's a comment that's not often made, I'm not sure that the problem is my end? I have bought a new microphone - so fingers crossed that'll sort things for the few that have had issues...x
My all time favorite stitch ❤❤❤
It’s one of my faves too! Beads up nice and quickly! x
Love this tutorial, and loved the colors, made it the same colors, love, love, love! Thanks so much!

Muy bonito gracias por compartir
My pleasure Martha! x
Thanks and i'm love it !
But when I'm done I can't make a circle, some places will be flat and not round😭 I don't quite understand when the stitches need to be tightened or loosened
Hi Mika... It's possible that your tension is a little too loose resulting in the rope not holding its shape and flattening....x
Can this technique be used w different size beads, or do all the bead have to be the same size?
You'll get a neater finish using all the same sized beads but adding in a different size will add texture to your design. Give it a go - bead up a small section and see if it works for you...x
Thank you for the tutorial.... , did you ever try with different size of beads for tubular Herringbone ?
I have done so in regular tubular herringbone, but not in twisted... that would be an awesome idea...x
Bellissimo💯💯💯
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Mariana! x
Love the color combo ! Also love the bracelet your wearing . Will you be doing a tutorial for that ? 🤞🏻

Jo Barclay Loggie haha, funny. I already had it favorited.. 😊. Thank you
🤣🤣🤣 xx
Would this work with size 11 seed beads??
Absolutely Morgan....and with 15/0's too! The width of your bracelet will alter as will the length of time taken to bead it up! x
I’m new to this type of beading. Where would I buy the thread and needle?
Hi Yvette....Welcome! Do you live in the UK?
Jo Barclay Loggie no I live in the lower rio grande valley. Texas
I’m so sorry Yvette... I’m not up to speed on shops in the US ( I’m in the UK) but Potomac (website) would have everything that you need....6lb Fireline and Size 12 beading needles...x
May I know what is the name of metal beads used in pink and white bracelet.
They're metallic Bronze....I love them - perfect for Summer and Winter designs! x
What kinds of clasp can you use for these?
As I mentioned in one of earlier comments to you...I find toggle clasps the easiest to do up and undo again at the end of the day - especially if you done have someone to help you! x
Jo Barclay Loggie oh okay thank you
Hi how many beads are used for each color?
Hi Kalene...I don't know the exact number and of course it would depend on the length of your bracelet....but I used about a quarter of a tube of each....around 5-6 grams of beads...x
Jo Barclay Loggie hi I’m trying to make 7 1/2 bracelet in this stitch and I wanted to know how much beads for each color to use?
As I mentioned above - I couldn't possibly sit and count the number of beads I used but if you fo by the gram weight I gave you - that's what I sued to make a 7 inch bracelet....so you'll need to increase this a little to make 7.5 inches. Helloo madam may I know the colour combo of another bracelet which is pink white and _____. Iam not sure it is black or something.
Hi...So in the intro I show a couple of bracelets and there is one that is pink/salmon, white/ivory and bronze...or there's one that's pink, purple and blue...Hope that helps! x
Yep and again 😉
🤣
I thought there was no "step up" w/ twisted tubular Herringbone...I'm confused.
Hi Julie....sorry you're confused - that's never my intention! The pattern for twisted tubular herringbone is "Down 2 Up through 1".
