This is an old video but as a casual drummer myself Ik a lot of people came here for her looks and don’t get me wrong she’s beautiful but her skills are pretty good and she’s having fun playing drum set which really shows and makes it more fun to watch a lot of drum RUclipsrs are so uptight and stiff so she’s definitely refreshing to watch
She's only been drumming since 24, that's the coolest part about her but she does have a musical background playing piano/keys since childhood, which I'm sure helped since she already used 2 hands independently and foot pedals on piano.

@@charliepearce1886 yea once I found out she is a pianist it made sense to me why she is so good on double-bass pedals after I took another look at her foot cam, first it's her high piano posture on a seat that ensures that her heals don't touch the floor at rest state, that results in economy of motion and allows her to pump those bass pedals with just tippy toes, while other traditional drummers anchor themselves lower to the floor with their heals to the floor and have to pump bass with heal-toe motions which is less economical and more tiring and just can't be faster and tighter than her way due to simple physics, this was a nice little research project because at first I just discounted it to her slim figure and legs but there's more to it

Not sure he would agree MJ songs are all about playing to the song and the as good as the drumming is on this It just don't need all the fills (play to the song) not chop away but that might have been the whole idea she was trying get across (personally I would play it as SJM did no fills boring but serves the purpose as it was intended) (guess we can all agree to disagree with anyones comments) It was Jeff Porcaro that played the drums on the original MJ beat it Thriller album BTW not SJM

She is killing that high hat and adding to many cuts is making a perfect song just more perfect. I dont know where she gets those backing tracks but they are on point. I guess I am actually the only one here that is checking her skill. If this Roland E-drum sounds that great I need to get me that computer. Drums pads are just MIDI triggers which I have so that drum computer is making shit loads of difference in the sound.

@@AtomicExtremophile well she has a deep musical background, she's a pianist since childhood and only started drumming at 24, she plays piano even better than she drums but for some reason she doesn't really like to play it often, her passion now are drums and it shows, she has one of the best double-bass kicks I've heard and it's because of her pianist posture when she plays drums, in the future drumming instructions for posture might have to change because her way is clearly more efficient than traditional drummer posture, I've done my research and I'm convinced
@@LogioTek I was wondering about her posture - reminded me of the days of ladies' 'finishing school'...when a young ladies posture was improved with exercises like walking with a book on their head! Piano playing is clearly affecting her posture - positively!
@@AtomicExtremophile yep just watch her foot cam, you will see she is sitting higher up than traditional drummers, her heals never touch the floor at rest state, she is pumping bass with just tippy toes instead of heal-toe pumps other drummers use, that's why her double-bass is so good, it's way more efficient due to economy of motion
