Anyone in line behind me at a coffee shop, seemingly living quite modestly (on a budget) in a wheelchair, using a cane, wearing a veteran’s cap or a single momma trying to do her very best in that moment, will get a little something from me. As a tip for others, when I slip a $5 or a $10 etc, into the hand of someone like this, especially in a wheel chair, I make sure to say thank you for serving or you’re doing great, as I slip the money in their hand as privately as possibly, so they are not mugged later on, leaving that shop.

Making things better: Think about things from someone else's perspective. Homelessness is a very isolating and lonely experience. You're on your own and people out in public don't want to interact with you so there's no socializing. There are also a lot of stray dogs in this world already fending for themselves and still alive. Dogs need love and socialization too. Many people and dogs end up homeless and stray through no fault of their own which often leads to depression. Maybe it's not always a bad thing for a homeless person and a stray dog to have each other. ❤🐶🧔♂️❤ Just a different perspective.

Hi Gentlemen. 👋 When I make a Pizza with Pepperoni an Ham on it. I make a Large. I cook it at 400 degrees for 24 minutes. Good Stuff.
When I was 16 my parents got really mad at me because I went to go out deer hunting and I parked at my grandmas house and I accidentally locked the keys and my deer rifle inside my van and drove at the time. Yeah I remember my parents got so upset with me because I was always in a rush so while I sat there and waited for my dad to come over and unlock my van, I watched about 15 other hunters walk into the woods to the spot. I was about to go hunt and then they would allow me to hunt for like a week and a half on a very short deer season in Maine so I learned my lesson lol y’all show is awesome

Si was on point talking about how to help the human race. He was being serious. J.d mostly and the others after could humble themselves a little and act like true Christians . Serious conversation was being over run by smart ass bull.....j.d could use some growing up and anyone with more than others could use some humility.
I couldn’t agree more! The comments made were cringe worthy, uneducated judgmental assumptions, and reflected the true “Christian” they are.
JD was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, has had everything handed to him, especially his career and in darn near every episode criticizing people for not working or don’t know how to work. It’s disgusting. Spend one day on the streets, learn someone’s story, it isn’t as easy as “get a job.” Then his comments about homeless having a dog were completely uncalled for. Homeless folks who have animals, often adopt a dog/cat that they found also abandoned on the street. That animal is treated with love and kindness and often eats before their owner does. Why? Because that animal is the one soul in their life that sees them without judgement, without noticing a flaw, wants to be in their presence, loves them unconditionally, would protect them, makes them smile, brings them joy. JD instead of judging and condemning maybe you could learn from the dog. Pathetic.
That’s the issue with being rich their entire life idc what they portray. They slip up every now and then and they have said miss Kay’s side of the family was very wealthy. So they kind of portray the low class life. No malice intended but just listen close on unashamed and you will here a lot of family secrets
They were all in agreement that giving money to drug addicts was a bad idea. These days if you gave somebody money for drugs those drugs might have fentanyl in it and they die. I see your point about the attitude. Perhaps it is because this is normally a light hearted show and some of them have a hard time getting serious. My advice is pray for J.D. and the others.
Look up a video by Jeff Foxworthy where he talks about leading a Bible study to homeless men. His heart was touched by a story from a meth addict. One point he made was that if a person is on drugs and or alcohol then they can't work anymore because they are not fit to. J.D. is not wrong about people getting work. We are made to work and if we aren't then we either starve to death,become thieves, or have to live from the money given to us by others. None of those are good options for a good life. If a homeless person finds a good dog then that is very sweet. But I do know that in Detroit they have had a problem with feral dogs roaming the streets. @@MG-fx1sj
I do the same as Martin when asked for money. I buy them food or gas, no problem. You can tell how they act and by what they say after you don't actually give them the money if they truly need it for the reason they asked you. Now the dogs well they can't talk so we have the intelligence to know if you see ribs showing the dog is hungry and thirsty. I gladly buy two hotdogs and a gallon of water and cut the top part of the jug. If I'm not too far from home I load the dog up and take him home. It takes about a month to get him to the veterinarian, feed him well, and healthy enough to post a picture for a good home. And just take a guess. Now several good homes want the dog. It's ironic because they could have done the same thing at the gas station and load him up. Every dog I have ever rescued turns out to be very humble. They know someone saved me and they will protect you better than a pedigree dog. I just love dogs and I can't see one starved and do nothing to help. Remember they can't talk so you have the intelligence to know. God gave us that intelligence not dogs.

I have been homeless and addicted to drugs, had nothing and still gve to other homeless people because you dont know where the organizations spend yhe money... when i was homeless no organization was helping us...

Pretty judgmental to assume every homeless person is after drugs with your money, but it is easy to turn to drugs in that situation because the judgmental people.
A lot of people start doing what they are being accused of after a while because they are sick of false accusations and feel like its thwir only option. Now a lot of homeless are just wanting drugs but still shouldn't be judging all them on actions of the few
These guys said specifically that they have given fuel, food and water to those in need. Not handing over money to homeless people is not a lack of compassion, but rather a deeper understanding for the situation than you seem to have. You call the Duck Call room judgmental, yet you are sure quick to judge them. You can read or talk to any expert on the homeless and you can immediately find three groups: the mentally ill, addicts and those that have fallen on hard times. The latter group is the easiest group to help as they will accept a hand up. Good for you that you escaped, it is not an easy task.
A member of my family a long time ago down south, was behind a log truck and the truck stopped quickly and the family member got a log go through the window and pinned hero the back seat. Very sad 😔 yo

Heads up for tickets to the blind movie on Sept 28 th. You have to be living in the USA to get tickets. People like me who live in Canada can't get tickets cause it isn't available here. In order to get the movie to show here we have to sign a online form to show there is interest. I am considering just waiting till it comes out on DVD.

I understand not wanting to give homeless people money for drugs. But the Bible always said love thy neighbor. No matter which situation they are and you always must be kind and respectful. Because some people just need the opportunity to turn their life around and they will but most people live that way by choice. But the key word is most people not all of them want to live that life I just see no other way out

Guys, i promise you, if theyre out there homeless and asking for money, whether it be drugs or what have you, its not bc they want to. Im sure they didnt wake up as a young child and think, "i want to be homeless or be an addict one day." Theres so much more to this conversation than choosing how to help. Truly helping them takes time and effort, not money.
I’m with JD. Instead of paying for the guy behind you in the drive through, pay for a kids lunch bill at school. The guy behind you can afford his food otherwise he wouldn’t be there.

I sympathize with that first email. I dumped a guy after he took his hand out the glove and said “ow, don’t throw so hard” when we were playing softball. I was a teenager country girl and he a downtown city boy. I learned real quick that wasn’t for me. I married a tough city boy 17 years ago and moved him to the country.

I think one way we could change is not holding people to their past I am 9 years and I'm a single mom a struggle everyday because people don't because of my past they just think that people can't change is really sad because people do change I'm a totally different person now all I want is for my daughter to be proud of me and I want a job but when people do background checks it's over from there I think the people should believe that people can change they should believe in the person for changing all I want is to work and make my daughter proud
Best comment I've seen in a long time. Unfortunately some people will always judge for our past mistakes. I'm 15 yrs clean and sober, and my mother still makes comments. I've learned all I can do is not let it bother me, because doing so only sets me back. All I can do is keep proving and showing I'm not that anymore. Sounds like you are doing things right. Hey guys ask Phil if he remembers this he probably doesn’t but my grand mothers cousin had apparently found the address of Phil and Kay and went to visit them UNANNOUNCED but after they left ever since there has been no trespassing signs on the property I was wondering if Phil remembers that but another thing is that same guy killed himself last Thursday it was a big shocker and is just now soaking in I just ask for prayers for all of us

It's 12 min so the perfect length for one of yalls segments, you cut to the commercial which gives the steak time to rest and then you come back to the show trying out a Si steak and losing a tooth trying to chew on leather.

Si ask the question how do we make the human race better. It's not a very simple question. The number one thing we all have to do is unite together. And I have plans to make this happen all starting in the United States. Once I get baptized by Phil Robertson. I will start working on my plans to rebuild this world and bring peace on Earth. I have plans to do so and to unite all the people of this world together. So that we can make a perfect Utopia Society we're all will work together towards to make this happen .I believe this is why the lord choose me to do this labor as he know I have a heart of gold . And my love for all people and things of this world is overwhelming sometimes. This is a touchy subject and I could add more to it would take too long for a simple RUclips post.
