Hello Joseph, regarding Qualtrim, I can't have the KPI like Net Booking on ASML, it is really annoying as it is a feature I find really intersting, do you know why your screen is different ?
My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.
I totally agree; I am 66 years old, recently retired, with approximately $1.2 million in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, I didn't do all this alone, but with the help of a financial advisor. Having one is currently the best way to trade in the stock market, especially for people nearing retirement.
Is there any chance you could recommend who you work with? I've wanted to make this switch for a very long time now, but I've been very hesitant about. I'll appreciate any recommendation.
Finding financial advisors like Melissa Terri Swayne who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
I'm really interested in investing in stocks, but I haven’t put in a lot of money yet, despite seeing news of people making millions, because I’m always concerned about the risks involved. What are the best strategies for less risk and more gains?
I totally get that! I’ve been able to grow my portfolio by about 380% since 2021, and a big part of that success came from working with an investment advisor. They helped me navigate the market, identify the right opportunities, and make informed decisions that really paid off. It shows how valuable their guidance can be!
My CFA is Laurel Ann Watkins, a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market. To be honest, I almost didn't buy the idea of letting someone handle growing my finance, but so glad I did.
Thank you so much for the suggestion! I really needed it. I looked her up on Google and explored her website; she has an impressive background in investments. I've sent her an email, and I hope to hear back from her soon!
Working with a financial advisor has been a game-changer for me. They provided invaluable insights and tailored strategies that aligned perfectly with my risk tolerance and financial objectives. With their support, I've seen significant growth in my investments and gained confidence in my financial future.
Sure, only one person comes to mind, the popular lady Sophie Lynn Carrabus . You'd find her basic info. on the web to set up appointment as she offers free consultations.
There is obviously a compounding effect in the very long term for large capital, but is not "automatic", and with the wrong strategies you can even lose more than you have, and selecting the correct stock without a proven strategy can be exceedingly challenging. I've been working on expanding my $210K portfolio for a while, and my primary obstacle is the lack of clear entry and exit strategies.
A lot of folks downplay the role of advlsors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for licensed advisors and came across someone of utmost qualifications. She's helped grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to $850K.
This is definitely considerable! think you could suggest any professional/advisors i can get on the phone with? i'm in dire need of proper portfoIlo allocation
Viviana Marisa Coelho is her name. She is regarded as a genius in her area and works for Empower Financial Services. By looking her up online, you can quickly verify her level of experience. She is well knowledgeable about financial markets.
I now agree that many people are considering TESLA as the "Stock of the year." However, I'm curious about which stocks could potentially become the next META in terms of growth over the next decade. I've allocated $200k for investment, looking for companies to make additions to boost performance
The key to achieving substantial returns isn’t chasing big-moving stocks; it’s about managing risk relative to reward. Position sizing is crucial, and consistently applying your hedge as often as needed to reach your goals. This principle applies to everything from long-term investing to day trading.
This is why I entrusted a fiduciary with my investment decisions. Many underestimate advisors until emotions lead to losses. My advisor crafted a tailored strategy aligning with my long-term goals, guiding entry and exit points for the equities I focus on. This has grown my portfolio to over $850k. My personal best so far
Interesting. I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation..
I definitely share your sentiment about these firms. When I was starting out, I checked out a couple of freelance investors online, so you could do the same. I personally work with “Judith Lynn Staufer”, and she's is widely recognized for her proficiency and expertise in the financial market. With a comprehensive knowledge of portfolio diversification, she is acknowledged as an authority in this field..
Thank you for saving me hours of back and forth investigation into the markets. found her web instantly. After reviewing her credentials and conducting due diligence, i reached out to her.
Strong BUY. Still early innings. NVIDIA is the dominant leader in AI and the preferred technology partner globally. Even w new competition on the horizon, NVIDIA is far ahead of the competition. 85% market share. 76% margin. Unrivaled demand for new Blackwell chip. Demand far exceeds production for Blackwell through to 2025 and beyond. No competitor has anything close to Blackwell. And forward P/E is about 33 (cheap for a high growth stock). Buy this stock and wait. You will be rewarded.
This is Interesting because i bought NVIDIA around September last year. The company is selling shovels in a gold rush. It accounted for almost 80% of my market return last year, and I'm sure this year will present other interesting stocks.
When it comes to investment, diversification is key. That is why I have my interests set on key sectors based on performance and projected growth. I actually subscribed for a few trading courses but it didn't help much, been getting suggestions to use a proper financial advisor, how did you go about touching base with your coach?
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Marisa Michelle Litwinsky’’ for about two years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.

There are a lot of strategies to make tongue-wetting profit especially in this down market, but such sophisticated trades can only be carried out by proper market experts
I think having an investment advisor is the way to go. I've been with one because I lack the expertise for the market. I made over $490K during the recent dip, highlighting that there's more to the market than we average folks know

Since I've only recently started learning about value investing, I've discovered that a lot of good stocks have intrinsic worth but are undervalued. Which stocks would you pick if you had $200,000 to build a solid investing portfolio in order to maximise returns?
For the average person, the tactics are fairly demanding. In actuality, they are typically executed effectively by professionals who possess the extensive information and skill sets necessary to execute such trades.
I concur with you. My financial advisor's advise was very beneficial as an early investor in NVDA, AVGO, ANSS, and LRCX. She has assisted me in finding stocks that have performed 10x several times over the last seven years. I've increased my portfolio to over a million dollars with her assistance.

The US economy is a powerhouse with a diverse range of sectors. The stock market and the dollar have traditionally been safe havens due to their long-term growth and stability. However, potential downturns are part of the economic cycle, and laws are in place to manage defaults and asset seizures. Inflation can be a concern, but remember, certain assets like stocks and Crypto’s acts as a hedge. Long & short-term trading is generally safer, allowing investors to weather market volatility. I have managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 532k in the space of a few months... As an investment enthusiast, I often wonder how top-level investors are able to become millionaires through investing. I have a significant amount of capital to start with, but I'm unsure about the strategies and direction I should take to help me generate substantial profits like some people are this season.
I’m not in a position to offer financial advice, but given the significant amount of capital you're working with, it would be wise to consult a financial advisor who can guide you in developing a strategy tailored to your goals and risk tolerance.

AI stocks are expected to lead the market in 2024. My top choice is NVIDIA, as they have strong potential for long-term growth and play a crucial role in supporting other AI companies. A friend of mine saw gains of over 200% with NVIDIA. While it’s my preferred pick, I’m also open to exploring the other recommendations you’ve mentioned.

The stock market and economy at large over the last 15 years was a result of 8+ trillion dollars in FED Quantitative Easing. I find it highly and mathematically unlikely the FED will do that again. When QE was launched en masse back in 2008 inflation was not a problem. There was actually some minor deflation occurring at the time. If the FED were to restart QE again under current conditions, and drive real yields on bonds deeply negative once again, the FED will quickly find itself the exclusive buyer of all government bonds. The Federal deficit is around 2T a year but the Federal government is rolling over maturing debt meaning there are 7+ trillion dollars worth of UST sales per year. There is zero way the FED can print and buy 7 trillion dollars worth of government debt every year without causing double digit inflation.... ... Their machines are constantly improving and being upgraded. High NA EUV is just being rolled out, resolution is improving, accuracy, efficiency and of course also theoughput. It looks like Joseph's CAGR the past 7 years is competitive with the S&P500, looks about 7.25% (not adjusting for inflation). His contribution rate is much higher now than before and it's helping him a lot.
Do you think it's a good time to consider selling some stocks, or is it better to hold onto them for the long term? I’m considering rebalancing my $2M portfolios, So I'm curious about the best strategies to invest this year.

Are you buying into ASML or waiting for it to trickle down further? I will buy more Google below 160 and then start compiling a cash position for Tesla
I would suggest never waiting for the trickle down further approach, I have missed multiple companies by thinking they will fall further. Including ASML. So this time i am loading the boat and keep it for decades. Picks and shovels play without the same level of geopolitical risk that TSMC has.
I don't know about Uber. As Europeans, we mostly have two options now: Uber and Bolt, in which we compare the prices before ordering a taxi. Also, the drivers use both apps and I believe that Bolt is more frequently used in most Europeans countries, at least in Poland and Romania, for which I am sure. Also, you have to take into account that in most European countries the traditional taxi's are developing their own app, which may gain a big marker share. I don't see that much growth in Uber
Ehh Uber will probably eat their market share in time. consider that at the moment, investing in Romania and Poland and such economies would understandably not be a major focus in the bigger picture for Uber right now. They can get vastly better returns elsewhere, I would imagine, but everything I’m saying is projection and speculation.
I was expecting to hear more insight on brookfield. Some experts say is the next Nvidia. I intend buying $200K worth of it soon. I’m well positioned with good blue chip companies and A.I stocks but my concern is how to hedge against inevitable crash.
Not a bad pick. Brookfield still have some way up to go. It's always a good idea to go over it with a CFA. You might get new insights on how to go about it and that increases your chances of making huge profit.

I wouldn't jump on ASML yet as demand is decreasing and they are not as critical to TSM as they used to be. Competitors being 30 years away is wishful thinking; China is now likely to both ramp up their own R&D and invest in competitors. Re: UBER, ordering food cheaper than going to a restaurant? How? Food is marked up on the app, they add service fees and you have to tip. Uber isn't cheap anymore and regulations are always a threat just like with ABNB.
Trump's policies had been viewed by many experts as more positive for various sectors, spurring this massive rally. It's enticing to consider purchasing some stocks despite the ATH, I'm contemplating investing more than $300k. Thoughts?
Such uncertainties are the reasons I don’t base my judgement on a ''heresay'' , 2020 had me holding trash stocks, but thankfully revamp my portfolio through the aid of a pro before seeing significant gains. To date, I've scaled up nearly 320% ROI. it's been 4 years and counting. I and my advisor are working on a 7 figure ballpark goal and we're not far.

@josephCarlsonShow I'd really appreciate if you could create one video on stock selection. Do we need to do fundamental analysis and what are key parameter to consider..
It's not highly exposed. TSMC is highly exposed... While ASML is exposed a fair bit, it's nothing insurmountable in the longer term. TSM has potentially much bigger problems making it a bet more than an investment (though I love the latter and think it the finest business on the planet). Anyway the supply chain argument doesn't matter long term, no other company can do what ASML can do... none. One thing missing from this video is their ownership of patents. ASML own tens of thousands of patents, a huge amount and for the smallest things in the machines. Their machines are not just technologically ahead, they are legally decades ahead too.
Really love those points about Uber contracting an AV company. Based on their history of adopting all public transit options, and all the excellent competition in the AV space right now, that seems likely.
Your videos are outstanding. Old head on young shoulders. Well thought out. Been thinking about ASML for a while and also own GOOG with a view to be adding. This video has convinced me to add more. Thank you. The only concern I have with Uber is of course Tesla, which seems to want to be everything to everyone and whether or not Uber has an enduring technological advantage over Tesla. It’s not something I can figure out in my head. What I do know is I can’t stand Elon Musk and neither do I trust his motives so I hope Uber wins that battle if it becomes one. Thanks again for all your hard efforts.
I have a 3 fund portfolio consisting of 33% S&P, 33% Total stock, and 33% international. I feel a need to focus on complete growth so I went 100% stocks, but does the SP500 and TSM overlap too much to make sense holding both? However I’ve been in the red for a month now. I work hard for my money, so investing is making me a nervous sad wreck. I don’t know if I should sell everything, sit and just wait but watching my portfolio dwindle away is such an eye -sore.
There are many other interesting stocks in many industries that you might follow. You don't have to act on every forecast, so I'll suggest that you work with a financial advisor who can help you choose the best times to purchase and sell the shares or ETFs you want to acquire.
I agree, that's the more reason I prefer my day to day investment decisions being guided by an advisor seeing that their entire skillset is built around going long and short at the same time both employing risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying off risk as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, coupled with the exclusive information/analysis they have, it's near impossible to not out-perform, been using my advisor for over 2years+ and I've netted over 2.8million.
I actually subscribed for a few trading courses but it didn't help much, been getting suggestions to use a proper financial advisor, how did you go about touching base with your coach?
I’m careful about giving specific advice since everyone’s situation is different. You might want to consider an independent financial advisor like Stacy Lynn Staples. I’ve worked with her for two years and highly recommend her. See if she fits your needs
ASML is truly a unique company, holding a near-monopoly on EUV technology that drives innovation across industries, especially during the AI revolution. Without EUV, there would be no advanced fabs-meaning no NVIDIA GPUs or Apple’s M4 chips. Their technology is easily 20 years ahead of any competition ( a critical player in the semiconductor supply chain). Just drawing a blank atm, but it was the pandemic or Suez Canal Blockage by that ship disrupting global supply chain, that caused ASML’s stock to drawdown quite a bit. I remember getting greedy and wanted even cheaper by selling puts , but it got away with small gains, missed the rally up to nearly $1,200. So I decided to finally jump in and plan to hold it long-term on recent short sighted downturn. Their guidance sees AI growth, but not so much of the other growth (Duh!) :) :) I’d really love to see you take a position here and cover it as part of your portfolio. I’m a regular viewer of your channel and truly appreciate your diligence in analyzing great companies. Admittedly, I do have an ulterior motive-I’d enjoy seeing your insights and ongoing updates on this stock as part of your fantastic content!
Now that the 2024 election has ended, it’s interesting to think about how markets react in election years. We’ve talked about the potential impact, but does anyone here know of significant gains or losses people made in past election years? Curious to hear success (or cautionary) stories!
With risk at an all-time high right now, it might be worth being patient and waiting for things to settle. Or maybe consulting a financial expert could help with figuring out the best strategy in times like these.
Hi Joseph. What is your take on the issues in the news that brought the stock price of ASML go down. Something related to sales to China?? Also, do you buy GOOGL class A or class C shares. Hi Joseph. You are the best stock picker. However: UBER may be a good company regarding financials, but I can see every day the bad working conditions the deliver service has for its workers: low wages immigrants from Pakistan and Brazil with miserable living conditions, living up to 10/15 in an appartment. I don’t want to support such a company. Writing from Portugal. Keep up the excellent work.
Haven't done a full review. But overall their numbers were great. A little "light" on guidance, which is fine, but every economic factor of the company is doing well. They are investing heavily in their product platform and AI integration. Credit Karma is growing fast. The stock hasn't moved much in 2024 but it went up a lot in 2023.
Great assessments. I've been prioritizing all of those in recent DCA myself. I believe all should do well over the coming years, and think there is room in autonomous driving for both UBER and TSLA

Hello Joseph, regarding Qualtrim, I can't have the KPI like Net Booking on ASML, it is really annoying as it is a feature I find really intersting, do you know why your screen is different ?
Congratulations on your timing of purchasing Google stock haha

The importance of mitigating risks might be why many investors are turning to advisors for guidance.
I totally get that! I’ve been able to grow my portfolio by about 380% since 2021, and a big part of that success came from working with an investment advisor. They helped me navigate the market, identify the right opportunities, and make informed decisions that really paid off. It shows how valuable their guidance can be!

The US economy is a powerhouse with a diverse range of sectors. The stock market and the dollar have traditionally been safe havens due to their long-term growth and stability. However, potential downturns are part of the economic cycle, and laws are in place to manage defaults and asset seizures. There is zero way the FED can print and buy 7 trillion dollars worth of government debt every year without causing double digit inflation.... ... But no, I´m not French, but France is a neighbour country of mine. I´m german :D
isn't ASML way too complex to operate though? which makes its performance unpredictable. i believe you said to avoid companies that have such huge operations (like Boeing)
Agree, very costly and hard to make their machines, hard to scale up and sell more, Taiwan Semi is increasingly able to scale up their production without needing the same increase in ASML machines, I don't want to speak too badly when there are ASML employees voicing their support to this video- amazing machines, but bad quarters
You need to watch more Asianometry videos bro. And maybe check up on their investor presentation from last week.
@@Venom-x7tThat's BS, TSMC being cautious rn along with the other companies running fabs is in no way related to them not needing any further machines or upgrades.
EUV is farrr from maturing and that's a good thing for ASML. There's lots of room to grow and their 1b€ they spend on R&D every quarter surely is good for something. Their machines are constantly improving and being upgraded.
High NA EUV is just being rolled out, resolution is improving, accuracy, efficiency and of course also theoughput.
DUV is also still improving in throughput to over 300WPH, in accuracy and is being made more compatible with other photolithography and wafer fabrication operations, they called it holistic lithography.
Computational lithography is also becoming more important, and even machine learning is applied to improve performance.
And do we even have to talk about their foothold as a monopoly in photolithography? Just their supply chain alone is unmatched.
And don't forget, they make money from upgrades and installed base management too and not only from selling a whole machine.
So my judgement is, they will be fine, tons of room to grow and improve their products still and I don't think anybody believed that chip demand is gonna slow down anytime soon.
Except boeing does not make a profit, is no monopoly and does not do buybacks
I just bought into ASML a couple of days ago. Might just be people are afraid of EU downturn, Trump tariffs and China blockages.

Plus in Europe people.have got actual public transportation like trains that solve all those made up problems on autonomous taxis 😅😅😅😅
Uber and bolt? Never used them. I do use alot of thuisbezorgd or order directly from the restaurant
Ehh Uber will probably eat their market share in time. consider that at the moment, investing in Romania and Poland and such economies would understandably not be a major focus in the bigger picture for Uber right now. Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got talking about investment and money. I started investing with $120k and in the first 2 months , my portfolio was reading $274,800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and gets more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family...
I’ve been forced to find additional sources of income as I got retrenched. I barely have time to continue trading and watch my investments since I had my second daughter. Do you think I should take a break for a while from the market and focus on other things or return whenever I have free time or is it a continuous process? Thanks...
@@OnkelFrauenknecht Quitting may not be the best approach if you ask me. This is where an AI comes into the picture. I barely have time to trade myself as my job swallows up most of my time. *MARGARET MOLLI ALVEY*..

Uber isn't cheap anymore and regulations are always a threat just like with ABNB.
congrats on the 800k
Lots of great deals on quality stocks out there still. PYPL, ELF, NKE to name a few
You got the memo about ELF supposedly having "creative" accounting?
@@rokker333 And you listened to the answer of the CEO?

Trump's policies had been viewed by many experts as more positive for various sectors, spurring this massive rally. It's enticing to consider purchasing some stocks despite the ATH, I'm contemplating investing more than $300k. Thoughts?
Trump’s ‘Intense voter focus on inflation’ did it for me cos he stuck on addressing issues that mattered.
I find your situation fascinating. Would you be willing to suggest a trusted advisor you've worked with?
Sure i don't mind. I've stuck with ‘’Sophia Irene Powell ” for years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.
Thanks for the lead. I just searched Sophia by her full name and easily spotted her page, very professional..
@josephCarlsonShow I'd really appreciate if you could create one video on stock selection. Do we need to do fundamental analysis and what are key parameter to consider..
ASML is highly exposed to geopolitical risks with the complexity of their supply chains
So is the rest of the semis space.
Want do you think about atkore?
$1B debt with $350M cash and net income of $472M.
Watching it but not buying.
I just curiously searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon. Thank you
ASML is truly a unique company, holding a near-monopoly on EUV technology that drives innovation across industries, especially during the AI revolution.
Their guidance sees AI growth, but not so much of the other growth (Duh!) :) :)
I’d really love to see you take a position here and cover it as part of your portfolio.
Wonderful and smart. Thank you, Joseph!
One of my biggest financial mistakes was not being born in 1930 and dropping $100 into the S&P 500.
Hi Joseph. What is your take on the issues in the news that brought the stock price of ASML go down. Something related to sales to China??
Also, do you buy GOOGL class A or class C shares. I don’t get why Google offers voting rights and shares which don’t give voting rights. I don’t see many companies do that.
*Excellent analysis, I have never seen an analysis as well structured as yours. Look, I have been investing in Bitcoin ETFs and other dividend income since 2020, I have a total of 734 thousand dollars, with my 83 thousand I am very grateful for all the knowledge and information you have given me.*
Do you do options?
Asml is interesting thanks
Yes Joseph, been thinking of buying asml. Uber, maybe. Goog, already hold and definitely adding more! 😊what about avgo? Bought pre split and have done well with it, still DCA. Thanks 😊
I like asml and google but uber idk that a lil risky imo
Im really not sure about Uber... here, at Czech rep., they have a serious competitor Bolt and also 3 car sharing companies, which are becoming very popular. Also the robotaxis might come in the future potentially...
i love how user friendly qualtrim is
im so glad you mentioned the role of TPUs will have on googles growth prospects.
Wow three videos in one week. I like how you say that you're lucky and you reccomend stocks openly but also give pros and cons. You don't say "BUY NOW! THIS WILL MAKE YOU RICH!!"

The market may speed up, slow down, increase or drop but we will buy when we feel best
That’s the biggest thing I’ve learned from Joseph is a calm demeanor

Very good momentum plays, not sure about long term tho
So why is it down this year? Ive been watching the stock too. Why isnt Nvidea on ASML customer list?
Asml makes machines, Tsmc then uses the machine to make the chips that Nvidia designs. Nvidia is a customer of Tsmc, not Asml
How’s intu earning?
Haven't done a full review. But overall their numbers were great. A little "light" on guidance, which is fine, but every economic factor of the company is doing well. They are investing heavily in their product platform and AI integration. Credit Karma is growing fast. The stock hasn't moved much in 2024 but it went up a lot in 2023.

What is the app you are using?
Great assessments. I've been prioritizing all of those in recent DCA myself. I believe all should do well over the coming years, and think there is room in autonomous driving for both UBER and TSLA
