She was sick for this performance but she didn't want to let her fans down. Wish made her take a COVID test before they would let her into the bus. Mori has a video on her channel about the making of this video it's called saved by steriods
She wasn't sick. She did too many apperances because her version of this song blew up. So they had to give her steroids to make this show.
There is a video our there of her explaining this before . The wish bus apperance was uploaded. The irony is she probably should have skipped this performance. But then I can understand the pressure to keep shining especially this song when it blows up

I wish they have placed subtitles to it so you could understand the lyrics. It translates to "I Already Want To Let Go" and is about wanting to be free of a toxic relationship or affair. This song was originally sung by another Filipina singer. When the producers of a TV drama series "The Broken Marriage Vow" included it in the OST, they asked Morissette to do the rendition. That's when it became viral and popular, because of the way she delivered it, more intense and that "belting sprint" you mentioned towards the last minute and a half. 🥰
I agree with you, there's not many singers who could do it this way Mori did. It's actually one of the most difficult OPM (Original Pinoy Music) songs to sing. Even Mori admits that. She even added her signature squeaks to it, that no other singer, even the other belters, can replicate. If you want, you can watch her duets with other popular FIlipina singers like Regine Velasquez, the Asia's Songbird, with Sheryn Regis, the original singer and also co-writer of this song, and with Jona Viray. Again, we are grateful for your appreciation and continuing support for Mori by featuring her on your channel.🥰 More Mori, please. She has just released two live performance videos, "Imagine More", a Disney song written for her and was used for the launch of Disney+ channel in the Philippines, and "Colour Everywhere", originally sung by American singer Deana Carter and made popular in the Philippines by Christian Bautista.

Oh i'm so happy that you chose this beacuse there is a live version with her band which is excellent but for me, this is much better....just technically speaking. On this day, this was her last gig and she was battling a cold. Literally was taking cough syrup in the car before arriving at the location. This song is one of the hardest song in the Philippines due to the phrasing and how high this thing is. This is a cover and the original artist is Sheryn Regis. But the way Mori perfroms this and as she always does, the emotion she draws out of a song, a performance is unmatched. This song is like an anthem. It's about someone deciding whether to stay or go from a doomed relationship. The title translates to "I want to let go" I see it as an anthem because at the end, the singer/person chose themselves and releasing themselves from a toxic and doomed relationship. The last line says, "I"ll choose me/myself"

I agree about preferring this version and also about how difficult her version of the song is to sing. Thank you for providing the translation! Wish dropped the ball big time on not providing subtitles. If they want to expose more people to OPM, and especially given Morissette's popularity internationally, that was a huge miss on their part.

Incredible tone in all her registers and total ease in switching between them. Fantastic dynamic range from a breathy whisper to a powerful belt. But best of all, she infuses her performance with so much emotion and it's absolutely enthralling. Every performance is a master class by a generational artist who is really coming into her own.
