At 0:26 I noticed all the birds around the cliff rock... that's a prime place to start putting up bird traps (on that sand bar)... the birds don't give anything but small meat but it's a constant easy source of meat and , once made all you have to do is pluck them off the traps anytime you walk by (which seems to be often)... great way to stock up on food passively while you are doing other things.
I came here to say the exact same thing, looking at the barrels in that wreck by the dock, they could be used for bridging locations that are too deep for typical foundations!

i'd love to see them bring back using sea water an turning into drinkable water... the whole palm and fiberous leaves thing either needs reworking or buffing..
I think there are tides in Stranded Deep (high tide & low tide) which is why sometimes the bridges are underwater. So if you are trying to place a foundation and find that the water is too deep, maybe you can wait until low tide and you'll be able to place the foundation then.

Jantabass first you gotta get a razor. Then i'd recommend doing this in a shower with warm water running. Second, get some conditioner and spread that stuff around kinda like shaving cream, and DO NOT shave against the grain, shave with the flow and wipe the razor after every swipe. Hope this helps friend!
