Ah yes... The first mistake was to activate the cursed machine, the second was to use one pearl, and by believing Indy's bluff that he would wreak some divine wrath on him, the old Doc made the third and final mistake with taking it up to 100 pearls, wrecking the entire place. So long, Nur-Ab-Sal. And this time permanently. Good thing Indy came up with the divine wrath stuff, eh? As for the music: Take me back to the place like it was yesterday.... The escape from Atlantis was the most dramatic shit I experienced as a young boy. It had me on the edge of my chair, seeing Atlantis falling apart all around Indy and Sophia. Those were the adventures of Indy I so hoped would make it to the big screen. But alas, it was not to be. A bloody shame.
Exactly my experience and thoughts. Perhaps with a new actor (and a new LucasFilm president) we'll see a Fate of Atlantis film adaptation, but for now, I hope this score is the closest thing.
In an interview with @danielalbu, Michael Land says he composed only two tracks in FoA: 1. The Azores, and 2. The Lava Room, since he was one of three composers who worked on FoA. In "The Dig" he was the only one to work on it 😊
My favourite track from one of my favourite adventure games, beautifully rendered outside of its midi format. Very well done. It's too bad they never made TFoA into a film adaptation.
Majestic! A perfect capture of the original soundtrack!!! I cried listening to it, going back to one of my all time favorite games! If only I could forget it, only to relive it! Failing that, hearing your rearrangement is the second best choice!
Thanks! I always thought that FoA deserves s symphonic score, since it was made into a game and not a film. Have you listened to other tracks from the playlist?
Possibly the best track in game and now this orchestral soundtrack. Everything from before comes and blends, and the dramatic and sinister notes we've been hearing both come to the forefront. It lets you know: this is what the fate of Atlantis was. Grandeur escalated by their own self-superiority... and then a fall into darkness. (And even the theme shows the parallels to the Nazis) Now I want to see a live orchestra playing this. Preferably for making the movie adaptation we so need :D
I did saw the parallels to the Nazis, which makes this story so amazing, and the reason they didn't make it into a movie is beyond me. Also, if someone connected would be interested in having it performed by a live orchestra, I've written everything the old fashioned way and everything is prepared 😊
Wonderful! What a ride indeed. I really need to replay FoA - listening to this just makes me realize again why I consider the game - and its score - a masterpiece and the best Indiana Jones adventure there is. You did an amazing job here!
Some people say 486/75? In 1997! yes, Last 486 were shipped in 1996 and even at the time Pentiums were expensive. I remember Aptiva from IBM around $2500 USD. Clones were cheaper and faster.
You never fail us Nissim! Whenever I listened to this from the game it always reminded me of the start of the movie "The Shining" ha! I wonder if that was the inspiration?
@@NISSIMKHALIFACOMPOSER I mean literally the opening main theme to the movie it sounds like a slower version of the first part to this track! it's uncannily similar hehe
Amazing work, no question. At the beginning, I hear some notes that sound similar to those when Indy encounters the Grail guardian in 'Last Crusade' (movie). Did I hear right, or was this just my imagination?
@@NISSIMKHALIFACOMPOSER I don't think I can adequately describe it; I can only speak in general terms. I hear some familiar tunes. Well, in the end, it is not too important. The important part is that this was a kick-ass rendition of the game's level theme.
This is amazing, my favourite game from childhood, this should have been Indy 4!
Thanks Alex! I also imagined it being a soundtrack for Indy 4🤠

Great job as usual on this score! Somehow I didn't realize until today how heavily 'Dies Irae' is used in the opening.
Not only heavily used, but alao in a manner that resembles a fugue!
@@NISSIMKHALIFACOMPOSER Completely agree!

I'm impressed and pleased with how well you wove the other themes into Dies Irae. Coming so close to the end of this project is very bitter sweet.
I know how you feel, it's bittersweet for me as well 🥲

Thanks 😊I also would've loved to see FoA as a film adaptation, considering so many games are being made as films these days.
FoA is my Indy 4, and my 2nd best Indy feature after Raiders.
@@stormlord1984Mine too (Indy 4), but until the actual movie adaptation, The Last Crusade comes first 😊

Absolutely perfect. What a masterpiece, you made my day 😊 Many thanks for bringing us so much quality in every track!
