There's a kinda unique vibe about Bali. It's a place for holiday; to relax, enjoy the sea, sand, sun, spa & seafood. Water activities, island-hopping, night life, etc. Personally, I've been there for about 10 times now. Each trip, I would have accommodation (hotels/resorts, villas, cottages & bungalows) at different beaches, including Seminyak, an expat area. But I would not choose it as a place to stay, long term/permanent. Life is just too laid back there, so much so, even people in the hospitality kinda slow in their service. Being touristic, everything is expensive, especially the prices of properties. Open-burning of rubbish is a common sight everywhere. Wonder if it's still the same nowadays? If yes, then, air pollution is still an issue. Very busy narrow roads with jammed up vehicles. Foreigners may find it a real challenge to drive a car in such choatic, noisy roads.
@@Nano2538 we agree with all of the above, the chilled laid back lifestyle is definitely what draws our attention as it suits our personalities! But I do agree with your statements also!
Oh, you're coming back to K.L. soon! Perhaps you would like to check out on the condo that fellow Ozzie, Jack Alderton is staying, at US$614/mth (long term). 🙂
Sanur , nusadua , ubud , some place in north of tabanan or north of denpasar area could be good for expat living ..it's depend on someone life style when living in bali if you live like local i only spent 5usd a day for meal , just remember there is no perfect country..enjoy your vacation 🎉
