Faced a problem on 18 November evening. 2 step verification on WhatsApp was off at that time. Suddenly I started to receive message and call from many people claiming that I have sent them advertisement message. I didn't send any message and there was also no sent message on my whatsapp. Later I tried to find out exactly what happened. Chatting with other victim I got, yes they have received message message from my whatsapp account. They are not false. I didn't send them message and there was no record of sent message this is also true. So, someone hacked my whatsapp account and sent message and deleted those. After that event I uninstall and was trying to reinstall WhatsApp. Then after otp verification a writing came that your account is active on another device and account activation stopped. Later tried again this time it was successful. And immediately started 2 step verification on WhatsApp.
Although, I am doing regular online shopping, online banking, app etc for quite over a decade and is very much cautious about what to share and what to divulge, still I am subscribed to this officer's channel for his prowess in cyber crime, his dedication to teach a layman and at the same time be aware of different modus operandis of the cyber fraudsters to keep myself updated to armor me against these online crimes

Always activate your bheem upi and set a upi pin in bheem even if you don't use it.never send any sms to unknown numbers.If signal goes in your sim card for eg in jio, turant kisi doosre jio number ke signal check karen.if your account has above 1 crores, then keep the amount in two or three bank accounts and use iphone.Never share the 16digit sim card number to anyone.Use screen lock and fingerprint lock in your phone always.Never root or jailbreak your phone especially if your account has heavy amount.

Without full atm card number + pin, no account can be created on YONO without visiting branch. If a customer share all his details like ATM Card number, pin, otp, passbook then its wholly the fault of the customer, even RBI shows tv ads regarding non sharing of such confidential information.

It's not easy to enable internet banking that easily..at the end of creating a internet banking ID in yono it asks for OTP from the registered mobile number with the bank..and message will be sent to mobile number that " internet banking is activated if it is not you deactivate here" SO NEVER SHARE OTP

आप बोहुत अच्छा कर रहे है। लेकिन किसी पुलिस अधिकारी ने मेरी मदद नही की जबकि मेने ऑनलाइन सायबर क्राइम पोर्टल पर फ्रॉड की रिपोर्ट की। मेने कई बार अधिकारियों से सम्पर्क किया लेकिन कोई नतीजा नही निकला। अधिकारियों का ये लचर रवैय्या ही ठगों की हिम्मत बढ़ाता है।

Without full atm card number + pin, no account can be created on YONO without visiting branch. If a customer share all his details like ATM Card number, pin, otp, passbook then its wholly the fault of the customer, even RBI shows tv ads regarding non sharing of such confidential information.

I think a bank should put a rule than a person builts a new account on app for online banking they should visit the bank once physically or atlest do a vediocall
And there should be an confirmation VC for an huge amount by the bank to confirm the person is same as that present on adharcard
This may minimize the fraud

Yes in sbi keep some assistance for this app down loand assist for sbi customer, those fellow are chiting for customer, like down load the app and they give some other number for OTP, kindly SBI customer don't get download the app n set some other's.

Ya mere sath koi or fraud tho nhi hoga .

Good explanation. Why do banks permit internet banking activation through online/app unless the customer has physically submitted a paper form requesting the facility?
It's not easy to enable internet banking that easily..at the end of creating a internet banking ID in yono it asks for OTP from the registered mobile number with the bank..and message will be sent to mobile number that " internet banking is activated if it is not you deactivate here"
SO NEVER SHARE OTP
