    Hate to hear and see this Dave. Its amazing it ran as well as it did on one cylinder. I have never been in of those engines before either. I'M surprised how well they were built. Good job rehabbing it with the other engine. Great video!

      Right, I can't believe it ran so well on 1 cylinder either,,, well actually can't believe it ran at all by the looks of that working piston. In the 1st video I found the oil filter was loose , I bet that's how it lost its oil on the previous owner. Thanks for watching my friend

    I have not worked on one of those, so your video was very educational. Great job making it live again.

      Thank you. Hell of a well built engine and damn heavy also. I was thinking about the oil leak. Remember in the 1st video that the oil filter was loose?? I bet that's why it lost all its oil and the guy blew the one side

      @@davessmallenginerevival2847 so that engine was lose because of an oil filer miss-installation. Wow.

      @haneyoakie14 that's what I'm thinking

    Wow I can't believe that engine even ran. Did not know that Craftsman used an Onan engine. Always thought they were a good engine, kind of look like a VW engine. Good call on figuring out what was wrong. That would have been a big bang when that piston went. Thanks Dave. Stevo

      Hi stevo, I can't believe it ran either because even the good piston was in bad shape. This was built before craftsman got cheap. They were made by a decent company back then, this was probably the top of the line machine at that time for craftsman, man I tell ya this is one heavy engine. Take care stevo

    How's she goin'? It's amazing that the mower was running as well as it was on one cylinder eh!! But it sure is wore out now. Not too much left on the original motor that's worth saving eh. Good that you had the second Onan in the barn. It sounds pretty nice and looks like it's running nice and smooth!! Take care!!!

      Hi Mike. I couldn't believe how well it ran considering how bad the working piston was. I am lucky I had another match engine for it. It's funny how things go sometimes. Thanks for watching my friend

    Hey Buddy, Maybe a boat anchor? lol. It looks like it had a rough ending. Lots of completely useless parts. I can't believe it even would run, but back in the day, they were built like tanks. Take care

      Hi John, right, I can't believe it even ran at all much less as good as it did. I'm thinking it was the loose oil filter that caused all the oil leaking and probably led to the cylinder blowing. I pointed out the loose filter in the 1st video. Have a good weekend my friend

    Well at least you have a back up Onan engine for this problem with the other engine

      Right. But what I don't have is another good center spindle. I'll use it until that center spindle goes bad , maybe I'll find another one somewhere, who knows. Thanks for watching Robert
