if there was a basic loadout that you could save and spawn with, it would be more enjoyable, the penalty for dying is a bit lopsided in relation to how easy it is to die
Truthfully? I wish I contested zones were instanced and that they would limit the amount of players that can enter at a time. It’s all a gun idea until your group if 3 encounters a group of 597😬
No no no no, instances don't belong in sc imo. The way the doors are setup is good enough imo, you can't just sprint to the end and get all the good loot, gotta have the keys and fuses, which if you're through, you can hold choke points to try to fight off another group. Even running into a 10 person team is gonna be very rare. Most I've seen I'm 6, and our group of 4 defeated them lol
@ I hear ya, but remember that hangers and those missions under the citify of area 18 will be instanced. But I like these because it allows them to have a huge variety to these missions so we can never become experts at a particular map. I know that’s the opposite of Tarkov, but as somebody that will be solo 99% if the time, I’d line the same chances as I do in tarkov
@@khiosa they are adding PvE instanced missions eventually, that's been announced. They know they need guard rails for some stuff they just refuse to admit it.
@@asog88 I need to go back and rewatch what those are I honestly cant remember, and I guess hangers themselves are instanced and Im very pro that, so I shouldnt have said no instances at all. and if the under cities missions are missions tied to rep then I can see instances being the way for that, or a security lock etc
@ I mostly like instanced stuff tied to an elevator ride for a) variety and b) holding back orgs from dominating and gaining too much control over loot
This ultimately is why Star Citizen will fail long term unless it pivots some. They do not need to pivot a ton but rather some. Tarkov is SUBSTANTIALLY smaller in scale than SC, like one city in SC on a planet will fit most of Tarkov. So full loot PvP with that level of scale and the absurd idea of permadeath will keep the game niche. Had Covid not happened and stimulus money not bless them, CIG could be far further behind and staring at Bankruptcy. They put most of that money into the single player and buying Turbulant and custom high end UK office. The game is probably another decade away from leaving beta and sadly I don't think many will buy S42 unless it is a minimum 9/10 as the length of time it took with money raised will be focused on and reviews will be crazy harsh. I think its going to be pretty and people will op tto watch others play. I think stuff like CZs are a solid addition but they need PvP Guard Rails to control and not prevent combat with the hoard of bugs and penalties in the game to try to make the game NOT be niche. A Triple A MMO is insanely expensive to keep up as development will never stop and way to much to fix. The largest game ever requires a large consistent playerbase and right now she will forever stay in niche zone. Space Sims...niche, Full loot PvP...very niche, Death of a spaceman (permadeath)...extremely niche. Many games had to ditch these ideas just to survive. SC is staring down the barrel of striving to be a niche of a niche within a niche. After the "new" factor dies and it takes them another 3-5 years for Nyx, game may be dead. My prediction is Chris wants to ship S42, polish the MMO and Engine enough to have value and move to sell it off to where an real dev will fix much of this to make it go from extremely niche to large audience appeal. They have raised a ton of money but I have first hand experience of the cost of creative and fancy studios go from $250,000,000 (with subsidies) to bankrupt in 3 years. People underestimate expenses and why CIG had to rush out the Polaris to sell this year and had a "surprise" post IAE capital ship sale praying whales would emerge AND sell the F8 and F7A.
damn dude... I typed out a huge response to this and misclicked the reply button and it all got deleted.... TLDR" Permadeath prob wont make it into the game, if it somehow does it wont be for a long time/when bugs and desync are hopefully gone full loot doesnt kill the game it opens it up for other communities to come take a look(rust, dayz, takorv) and we are already seeing that migration starting(I came from tarkov, I have friends from Dayz coming over) The game could go bankrupt, I worry about that alot, the last couple months has shown they are in need of cash and I agree without some changes the game wont go mainstream. I think thats most of what I said/wanted to say o7
THIS isn't instanced, future PvE "dungeons" are supposed to be. This is simply a battle royale handing out $300 ships as rewards inserted into Pyro. You need a carrot to try to bait PvE players to try and engage in PvP and "embrace " it which simply isn't going to happen after an attempt or two. Many are peaking at Pyro and being griefed so much they are not returning as it is. It's sad IMO, means Pyro has been 5 years of completely wasted development money rather than making content for everyone to enjoy and then after CIG can financially stand on its own with a final product...patch in some PvP stuff.
That was some incredible gameplay!! Star Citizen is finally becoming a game!!!
Thank you!! and it really is! We all keep saying that as well lol
It's certainly becoming a game. Unfortunately, a bad one.
Never heard Khio have so much fun in SC, love to see it, great video!
Thanks dude! 4.0 is such a good time, cant wait for you to get home!! o7
Holy moly the loot in the contested zones is INSANE!
RIGHT?!??!?!? it's so cool!!
Yo that guy absolutely beamed you at the end
Fr! Thru the smallest opening too lol
Dang looks so much fun.
It's a blast! O7
Contested Zones are Starkov. Pyro is SpayZ
Unfortunately Pyro is starZ indeed yes lol wish it wasn't but here we are lol
if there was a basic loadout that you could save and spawn with, it would be more enjoyable, the penalty for dying is a bit lopsided in relation to how easy it is to die
no risk no reward. plus its the price for getting the thrill games like tarkov offer
I think a load out you could buy quickly would be better but ya, dying can be a drag but it's the risk ya know? But dying to bugs is annoying yes
That’s how high risk high reward gameplay works
Lucky got lucky 😂
indeed he did lol
I wanna do this.
When?
you know where to find me ;)

Everything instanced feels wrong placed for SC
This isn’t instanced, it’s live PU
Not instance, anyone can follow me o7
