Made a mathematical error and I'm too lazy to re-render just to fix a small mistake, but : The actual time difference between the bazooka shot nerf is 0.04 seconds, not 0.08, brain was not computing math properly while editing and writing the script. Additionally, I should have actually started the timer for the bazooka when the first frame of the warning beep starts, as opposed to when the bullet leaves - realistically that's the entire time for a player to react, but I still stand by the fact the bullet will hit the player in less than a second. (There is also an argument for the cannon tracking the player and so they can only dodge it as the bullet leaves the barrel, but the entire thing is still one attack.) Also : I understand that there might not be enough of a sample size for the clips to "prove a point", but do understand, the video is already really long for how miniscule of a nerf this really was, I had to cut down 3 hours of recorded footage into 11 minutes, of which majority of that 3 hours was just idling around waiting for Balteus to do the right attacks. Upon lining up majority of the attacks, there really isn't a point to showing every attack almost 10 - 20 times when there's no difference to majority of them. I'm always open to the idea that there's room for improvement and I'm sure the video could be done better and turned into some 40 minute essay, but tbh, this topic shouldn't even need that much effort to be talked about. Also, for whatever other statements I've made in the past regarding Balteus's nerf, scrap all of that - this is my latest opinion on the matter.
This is sort of what I felt regarding Ibis. I knew that the nerfs weren't that serious but I just missed the same thrill of back when I faced Balteus for the first time. It was one of my most memorable experiences in the game and I just kinda miss it. Other bosses can still prove a challenge to me sometimes like CEL, Snailteus or ALLMIND. But now when I face Balteus, even with a mediocre or even downright bad build, he doesn't feel all that threatening. And as for the new player experience, I just kinda prefer having Balteus as this sort of test for players. End of the first chapter, we finally meet Ayre. When I first beat Balteus I legit felt the same feel I would get at the title card of old Assassin's Creed games. The story has only just begun. And we are in for something amazing. So yeah... I kinda hope they buff Balteus if anything. Make him stronger than he was before the nerf XD
No, but the Sea Spider nerfs were to it's AP and resistances, so it dies faster. Ibis nerfs are a little bit harder to detail : The damage on the laser blades were brought down but also, they no longer apply a hard stagger on you, that lasts 2.5 seconds as opposed to 1.5 seconds. This is so that you don't instantly die on a stagger to Ibis.

Great video I was looking for, thanks !

I knew this was coming after the discussion the other day in chat. Good video my man!
Gott'em! Great vid. This takes some serious effort to get comparable results from each patch.
Will you also do a video about sea spider and ibis nerfes?
