When educators Katie Medart and Rachel Sager saw more and more students struggling with gender identity, they determined to find solutions that served the best interests of students, parents, and teachers.
As Christians and dedicated teachers, they were resolved to bring all parties together on a divisive issue.
But after Katie and Rachel posted proposed policies on their own time and in their personal capacities, they faced backlash from school officials, who ultimately fired them both.
Teachers shouldn’t have to choose between their fundamental freedoms and their jobs. With the help of Alliance Defending Freedom and Pacific Justice Institute, Katie and Rachel are challenging school officials for violating their free speech and religious rights.
